I would think if you run into some bad apples hinting or threatening to make a report just might get you in more trouble. .

I agree. Threatening to file a complaint on them, would probably just [CodeWord140] them off, so they would come back to you with some bogus charge that they saw you pissing in the street, trying to break into a car, etc, and you are now going to jail. They would probably grin at you, and ask you who you think is going to win on this one? I'll bet my money that the cops will win, you lose, and if you really want to play hardball with them, you end up in jail. And they'll still get your money, which is what they want in the first place.

Based on Jackcube1's report in Memeber 2479's forum, I decided to try to find Felina.
By RTFF it seems Felina is at the corner of Honduras and Vicente Guerrero.
But the only thing I found at that corner is Eldardo’s (sp) Night Club.
I looked all around that area, but I didn’t find any MP.
Finally one of the locals took pity on me and showed me to Silueta’s MP.
I think it’s on Jose Borunda and Peru, or at least close to there.
It’s large, clean, and had a nice selection. Had a good time.
$40 for an hour.

Borunda and Peru is where Felinas used to be, maybe it has changed names?
You had to to upstairs to visit there. There was a large cat painted in a window.

I always just say a little when asked if I speak Spanish, although I speak and understand quite well. Don't seem to matter tho, if they intend to rip you off, they gonna rip you off.

One ploy that I have considered, is ask them where Calle Oro is, tell them you need to make a report, but do it before the search you. Then they know that you know the police station is on Calle Oro. Might deter them, might not, won't hurt to try.

Respectfully I have to disagree with you on both counts. While lately I have been shaken down by the cops, especially in the zone west of Juarez Ave, I have not been robbed. The search is really disconcerting because if you have anything on you they will find it or plant it. I don't speak a lot of spanish but I've found when I try to speak spanish in mexico things go better for me. Many/most of the cops are educated so one in the group will probably know English anyway.

Another ditto from me on that one. I've been avoiding it as much as possible; taking the direct side streets when needed. From there, I can scope a little and if I see the bikes or foot badges milling about, I turn around. Same with the Plaza. It's just not worth it right now with all the other factors that can come into play.

Prior to this year and the cartel activities, I've never had any more of a problem than just being "hassled" by Policia with their searches and Q&A sessions. Now, I just won't give them the opportunity for anything more.

Sorry dont know anything about azul. I will probably go to Juarez out of boredome sometime in the next week. Did you guys know there is major league soccer in juarez now? Toluca next Saturday and Pachuca the following Sat. I never go back to mariscal because its an automatic search by the cops. A guy on Juarez Ave even told me about a place called "El Indio" which is like the Pink Lady but cheaper next to Panama, anyone ever heard of it? Anyone been to the Panama lately?
