I was downtown last night. Thinking about going to BT, but it was way too hot. I can't handle the heat, last time I was there in June it was so hot I could barely keep my mind on business, LOL. I checked out the newly opened bar "Tropicana" across the street from "3 Sombrero's", but it seems like an upscale place for the locals & their dates. Good band at Sombrero's, cute girl in front, but she is probably GF of the singer. Good place to take a date if you have some time.

Monteras was just a waste of time, a cattle show in there, nothing even worth a second look. A real collection of skank. Trash on the floor, does anybody ever clean this place? Perhaps slow because it was tuesday. I never liked Herradura's much, I just want to look around but the waiter is right there pushing a drink, the ugly girls are hovering too. Too bad the place across the street is pretty dead, it used to be a nice place, subdued lighting, A/C, but for some reason never got customers. Closed all winter, re-opened a couple months back but only about 6 people in the whole bar, no chica's.

By midnight I was too hot & tired I'll save the trip to BT until next month...

And what are the candidates positions on PRIVATE activities done by CONSENTING adults???

    {That being said, I wouldn't vote for a guy who's so green he probably can't even find the bathroom at WH without Biden's help}

    Now, back on topic.

    CAPITAL GAINS TAX

    MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

    OBAMA
28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

    DIVIDEND TAX

    MCCAIN
    15% (no change)

    OBAMA
39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')

    Single making 50K - tax $14,000
    Single making 75K - tax $23,250
    Married making 60K - tax $16,800
    Married making 75K - tax $21,000
    Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

    INHERITANCE TAX

    MCCAIN
    - 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

    OBAMA
    Restore the inheritance tax
Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

    NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

    Random News....

Not sure if anyone's aware but in a couple of weeks the 1-2-3 Bar will be open for business once again. Will keep you posted as to when the exact date will be. Martha's has been open for the past couple of weeks and A new bar "Senoritas" has opened up (right next to the Western). Senoritas is probably (in decor) the 2nd best titty bar in NLBT second only to Danash. The women there are strays from Danash, Pullman & even Dragon Azul. No new girls were brought in by owners.

    Cheers,

    Heatherly

    Beavis,

Some of us saw the light 8 years ago. Unfortunately during those two elections, the Dems didn't put anybody up that I thought would have been any better. Since I do not believe in voting for the lesser of two evils, it has been eight years since I have stepped foot in a voting booth.

In my neighborhood people used to put their houses up for sale, and they would be sold for asking price, or closed to it within a month. There are two houses now on my block alone that have been up for sale for 3 and 6 months respectively. The one that has been for sale for 6 months now has a reduced price sign on it. Things are geting scary, and I only count my blessings that my house is paid for, and i am in no hurry to move. Hopfully the Dems can do something about this, but it's going to take a long time, and a lot of work.

I am not a political person, and that is the most I have written about politics in, well, ever. Probably the last thing I type that has to do with politics. Not to mention, this is not a website for politics. Now lets get back to talking about chicas.

This in line. Since it is about 10. 1 exchange at the Border. 10. 1 Pesos to the Dollar. The Border gives better rate. If Mont. Is at 10. 02, then 10. 1 is fine. The last few months of the year, the peso should slide again based on the History. There will be more pressure for Dollars as Mexicans shop in the USA for Christmas. What I fear is if Mexico allows Chinese goods to be brought into Mexico legally, this peso slide will NOT happen.

Sadly, the US Dollar is taking a nose dive thanks to the Policies of our Government. I saw the Peso almost at 11 two years ago, if I remember right, but now?

The Euro used to be at. 80 when Bush came into Office, now it is almost $1. 65. Bush won't have to worry when he leaves office, he will be worth a Billion dollars within a few years.

Bush fiddles as Rome burns. How History repeats itself!?

    Dollar exchange

Unless we start growing tulips and can convince the rest of the world to buy them, I don't foresee the U.S. economy recovering anytime in the near future.
Come to think of it, there is a chance that our dollar will be worth less than a tulip if the System collapses and a new currency is introduced.

FWIW, both George Soros and Dr. Marc Faber are now long the dollar after being short for many years. Actually, I believe that Bill Gross is now long as well.

Don't think the girls won't notice, they usually have a rate of 10 pesos to the dollar, which is where we are about at but if this trend continues the the girls will likely ask for $25 instead of $20, as they like dealing in $5 increments. They won't say give me $22. My opinion and observation. Let us hope the economy recovers.
