Oops, they did it again.
Just in time for the recession, Solarium has raised their prices.

Entrance: R$65
40 Minute Room: R$70
40 Minute Girl: R$150
Total: R$285

Entrance: R$65
1 hr Room: R$95

If you plan to pay the girl's charge with a CC plan to pay an extra R$25 per session.

Excuse my french, but WTF is this?!

In europe, (in the MOST expensive countries) I pay the same amount (equals 400 RS) for 1 hour of Pay-for-Play.

WTF is that? -This Is Brazil!!! ( A 3rd world country!!!)

If prices have gone out of the window lately, I will only, ONLY engage in non pro action (and that can be quite expensive as well, lesson learned the hard way)

To make a comparison, you can go to the Denmark section in Europe, and then look at the copenhagen sub-section of this forum.

I can have a young, BRAZILIAN good looking girl in Denmark for less!!! (no room charge!)

Heck, if I want to have a fit, Pamela Andersen copy (Model/10's face, platina blonde & HUGE silicone tits) I can get that for LESS money as well.

Day 1.

The apartment I rented had the drive pic me up from the Airport; $50R. I got the keys from the driver and settled into the apt. I called my friend that has already been there for two-weeks. First up; 4x4.

For the first time I caught the train to cental. I was really a easy. I stayed for about an hour, didn't see anyone I like so I decided to leave and go back to Copa.

In Copa, I goto MP to see if there is any afternoon action and there she was: Particia 1. I called her Particia 1 becuase I meet about three of them.

She came over and stared to ask for the money up-fornt! ? I said, "I have the money and I will pay you when you leave". She says shes sorry but some guys have been trying to change the deal on her at the end and she wanted to be paid up-front.

Anyway, the sex was nothing special, but she really tried hard to please me.

I was in L'uomo on a Sunday afternoon a few weeks back. On my way out I went to the front desk, inspected the bill and asked if I could pay by CC. She said ok and processed the CC. The amount I signed for (and the amount that showed up on the statement yesterday) were exactly the same as what was on the tab.

Do they run a special on weekends? CC same as cash? Maybe it's a Sunday afternoon special?

Anyone? anyone?

At L'uomo there is a sign in the reception area that states you can pay everything with CC and there are no extra charges. They usually do this during slow season so be sure to ask.

At Solarium I called ahead and asked and they said there would be a R$25 charge per session.

At Monte Carlo I was told the same thing, but talked with the manager and got it waved. He was standing right at reception when I checked out and directed the receptionist not to charge me for using a credit card.

At 4x4 you can pay everything on a CC with no additional charges.

BTW, there is a lot of credit card profiling going on these days based on where you use your card. My card got cloned in Rio and I had to talk with the security personnel to review the legitimate charges. When it came to Hugo's Bar (L'uomo) they said to me it was a massage parlor. Also on the online detail it appears as L'uomo. People may want to consider that before they use their CCs.

Today, it is a merchant holiday. Majority of stores are closed. Plan to go to 4X4, however, it may be closed. Will call. If that is a no go, I'll visit Solarium in early evening.

These past few days, the weather has been cloudy and/or raining. Furthermore, the temp. has been in the low 70's....brrrrrrr. Have yet to hit the beach scene. Forecast says sun on Weds.

I had the Monday coupon for a free cabine (which I think is no longer on their site).

Today was a holiday in Rio (Commerce Day) so there were a lot of Brazilians hanging out. I got there around 7:30 PM and the talent was pretty good. Like MC, almost all the girls were fair skinned.

I first went to the room with Geovana. As Forest would say, "and that is all I have to say about that."

Later I went with Cris who turned out to be a real sweetheart and is recommended.


If you are staying Copa I would think twice about making the trip especially if they discontinue the Monday discount. First you have to pay a taxi to and from which is about R$12 each way. Then you have the increase in rates. Also, when I have been there there were a lot of Brazilians who just drink and waste the girl's time which often makes it hard to connect and to even see the girls. Does anyone know if Brazilans pay the same entrance fee?

One other thing to note is that I was charged R$13 for a "Special" Caipirinha which was made with more expensive Cachaça. I asked about it while they were making it, but thought it was the norm. I didn't realize it was get over on the gringo time until later. It was extremely small to boot. Of course I got asked for a tip by the receptionist which I politely declined to give.

I really suck at taking photos indoors. I think it is my camera settings. My outdoor day time photos turn out real well. She is a pretty girl who was wearing no makeup. Some of you guys would run the other way if you saw the termas girls in bright light without all their make up.

One to avoid. There is no WMMV here. She is a very hot morena and I could see a lot of guys going for her, just don't. About 5' 6" thin, curly hair very beautiful. She has a small tatoo on her hand.
