I feel the same way. Been here 2 weeks now and this will be my first trip to Brazil without going to Centaurus. Monte Carlo has put Centaurus out of business for me.

Last night after I left Monte Carlo (where I had another great time) I took a cab to Centaurus. As soon as I got in I told him this ride was on Centaurus and he could collect his R$20 from them. The reason I did this was because last time I was told that my entrace would be R$120 and not the usual R$100 I had been paying (R$20 is the gringo tax).

I get there and only pay the entrance (R$120) and change into my robe. As soon as I walked in the bar the girls were grabbing at me and standing in my way. I was the only gringo there and there were probably only 20 or so Brazilians at 9:00 on Saturday. One girl is my designated chaperone for the evening and sits down and starts talking with me. I explain that my friends no longer come there because the girls are so agressive. I then go to the corner table by the stage to eat and listen to the live music. She sits down next to me and asks me if this is better. She says she knows I don't want to talk, but proceeds to talk with me anyway.

Almost all of the girls and most of the customers are smoking. Other than one light mulatta, all the girls are white. I really like the singer and guitarist but unfortunately some drunk Brazilian grabs drumsticks and starts beating on everything in sight. That and his going on stage and singing along with the singer made what should have been enjoyable, painful. One of the girls tries unsuccesfully to distract him. After about 15 minutes of this, I leave.

At checkout I ask for my tab and am told it is R$49 more. I had a Coke Zero and some food. I give him R$50, he quickly gives me 1 R$ and says bye. I ask to see the bill. It turns out it was R$39. I point this out to him and he apologizes and gives me the other R$10.

So, they charge me R$20 more because I am a gringo. If you do take a girl, the total cost (normally expected to be paid upfront) is R$400 for 40 minutes. Receiptionists are rude and dishonest, girls are agressive and not as attractive as in the past. If you are a non-smoker, you will find nothing but smokers. If you prefer women of color you will not find any there. The food was tasteless other than being heavily laden with salt.

you've summarised the difference very well and i would like to summarise it further to one word: price. there's no doubt the availability of girls is higher and the price much lower in, say, bangkok. but in rio the quality, and therefore the price, much higher. eliminate the price factor and rio is infinitely better.

you know the difference may be for me that i went to thailand first and then went to other destinations. for me thailand is a whole different animal than rio and the two cannot be properly compared to each other. i love them both for many diffferent reasons but i really love the fact that women are available on a p4p basis at both locations. one trip i may need some rio in my life, the other trip i may need a little pattaya.

one thing that divides my time with pattaya is that in pattaya there is no substitute for feeling like you are a total millionaire and getting out of your comfort zone money wise is tough to do. you can also rent a motor bike and that is a freedom in it self. riding from bar to bar in north, central, south pattaya, and then jomtien beach for even more bars... like a kid in a candy store. it's like a freedom that is only experienced over there because you are so in control of everything when money is no issue.

i remember i came out of my apartment one sunday in rio, before my plane took off for home, looking for some quick ass. meia pataca was all wet from rain (think of july '08 when you could throw a stone in helpee on a sunday and not hit anyone in the head, for those that were there) and there was no available ass at meia pataca. pressed on a sunday with two hours till cab time and no ass made me real nervous. in pattaya, not a problem more ass than you need to be available all hours of the day and night. the town is yours, walk where you want. no one is going to attack you or anything like that. it's all good in pattaya. get stumbling drunk and walk to your hotel? no problem! (though you may get pickpocketed by a tranny) the party never stops. what? lucifers is over? well lets just go to mixx or this or that... sun coming up? ok jp bar for crack of dawn partying... 10 or more clubs within walking distance of each other pumpin rap, rock, techno, arabic... they cater to the foreign sex tourist in pattaya. i really like that.

as for rio, the feeling of being in rio cannot be compared. walking along the beach on atlantica never can be equaled in pattaya. you have all versions of tall, short - dark and light in rio. you can even get these weird asian mixes beause of the japanese population in sao paulo. the sheer diversity of rio women cannot be equaled in asia. (though the black military mixes in angeles city philippines give me some real nice alternatives there). rio is a romantic major metropolitan city. pattaya is not very attractive and pretty unromantic.

given the same amount of money and a choice of both places i would probably go to pattaya. double that available amount of money to go to rio with and well then, i choose rio.

they both have big attractions for me. the prevailing reason i constantly still go to asia is because of my initiation into foreign p4p when visiting thailand. i am much more used to the girls and their shyness etc. there is a level of femininity that cannot be equaled by women outside of asia. that is just the way it is... (all my opinion)

I went there 2 times, as I was afraid, stay 1,5 month in Russia ruined me for life....where in Jet club in Ufa you see 90% of top notch and Jake993 knows very well what I am speaking about , at help I saw only 5-10% of top notch. It is surely a safe place, full of gringo, but the problem is outside...if you go immediately inside the taxi, they have insane prices cause they to not swtich on taxametr, if you walk even 100 metrs it can be dangerous, I do that I across the street and take taxi that pass towards Leme.
Girls starts from 450 reais but at late night you can take for 200, the problem is....the very nice are or busy, very busy, and a bit selfish too, some looks really under drugs...., the other ones....for me it is now almost impossible to fuck a 5´ when in Russia I got so many 8´and 9´....

You would probably be better off trying the swingers club 2A2, it has a website, or one of the ones in Barra.

I have to respectfully disagree. I know that L'uomo at least allows women in. I do not know the rules but if she is a foreigner and comes with a man there should be no problem. No problem finding a girl for you two there.

I do not recommend 2A2. The place is pretty nasty. As I understand they do not allow single women, only couples so a threesome will be tough to pull off. Went to Centaurus last night with four of my friends
I have lived in Rio for eight months now , but never yet tried Centaurus, The prices put me off. My four friends are all first time Rio visitors.
We got there about 9PM , asked if we could see the talent , told we couldn't but told there were 85 girls and 27 men. Cost to get in R120 plus another R280 for 40 minutes if you program plus R20 extra if you use a credit card.
We changed into the robes , showered and entered the boite. I was immediately grabbed by two girls , who did their best to separate me from my friends , we ended up all sitting together, my friends each had one girl. I was pretty sure I wasn't going to program cause R280 for 40 minutes seems way too much for me. I live in Rio and I pay my regulars R100 to R150 for all night. The girls weren't hustling me for drinks so I offered them each one. My attitude is , if they ask I say no , if they don't I offer.
