I agree 100% with Sui Generis analysis about areas in Sao Paulo.
As a matter of fact, I have always stayed in Jardins or Moema.
All flats or hotels I stayed accepted visitors.
In some cases they register them, in some they don't.
In no cases I have been charged with an extra.
As far as I know, that policy applies to all flats/hotels in SP.

Jardins is the popular section among our fellow hobbyists. Very urban, still noisy at night. A lot of girls live there.
Pinheiros would be my middle choice, between Moema and Jardins. Pinheiros is the Soho of São Paulo.
For a first visit, Jardins is all right.

Recommend you bring them via the front desk, it guarantees your safety and your property.
Pay the $20R its a cheap price for security.
There appears to be a lot of more affordable hotels on Rua Augusta going into the downtown that you can check out if price is an issue.

I am looking for some info, I have been to Rio 4 times, and I will be going to Rio for a month during April. I am thinking about going to São Paulo for four or five days. I have been reading through this thread but I am still not sure which section of the city to stay and I could not find a list of girl friendly hotels. From the reading that I have done it seems like the part of the city where the mongering action is is the Jardins area and near Av Paulista? Are there any nice girl friendly hotels in the area in the R150-R250 price range?
One of the places that I would like to go to is Eu & elas if they are still open. I am still making a list if clubs to go to.

If you want some "privacy" there's always a way to bypass the front desk.
One of my guest (Elektra) had her car. She parked it in the inside garage and took the elevator up to my room without registering at the front desk. As I know personally Leticia Lima (at that time she was sharing her flat with another girl) I greeted her in the hall of the hotel. I didn't registered her at the front desk.
At the Excellence, I received Maya (now Eva Poison). She had to register at the front desk. They called me in order to confirm that I was waiting a guest and she was escorted by a groom to my room. No charge.

Well, just too bad....
I've learned yesterday that Charme's privê (Praça de Arvore) is closed. The paulista scene is changing a lot. I know that there are others privês in that hood. I hope that the quality of the girls is the same as the one we could find at Charme's privê.
Two of my favorite playgrounds are closed : PHQI and Charme's. What's going on!!!!!!

Can anyone who stayed at one of the Mercure's hotels in Sao Paulo tell me if they are girl friendly? Any guest fee involved if I was to bring a girl up to my room? I'm making a trip to Sao Paulo for a week and thinking about staying at either Mercure Apt Pamplona or the one on Al. Itú.
Thanks in advance!

Posts: 1Julia Gualter doesn't work anymore, unfortunately. I found out myself. The link that you posted is of a different girl. I phoned JG in November 2008 and she confirmed it to me. Her pictures and contact info are not available in the Web, of course. Maybe that's the reason our fellow monger was so confused.

Hi Bondo500
Julia Gualter is still available. Maybee you had problems to locate her because she works under different names:
JULIA GUALTER, BARBARA GUALTER and ANA CAROLINA.
Here's a picture of her (under the name Ana Carolina) I hope that's the good one because there,s another Ana Carolina. The other one is a tall blonde (1m 77).
