Thanks for the info. It was the same the last time I was there. Me and my boys were the only ones there. There were women lined up from one end of the bar to the other. Also saw a couple of Broadway type shows. How about prices?

Has anyone made a list of what clubs are still open in Sao Paulo? I am thinking of spending a few days there in April but I am wondering if some of my favorites ever reopened. Millennium, Moulin Rouge, Cafe Gauguin, etc?

Yesterday I had to leave hotel by 12:00 but my flight out of Guarulhos was only at night.
Very boring hours ?
Not really, I had managed to arrange a meeting with an old friend of mine, now out of business, at Lido to spend part of the afternoon.
I think room cost is acceptable, I took a Premium suite with jacuzzi at R 92 per 3 hours, considering a small lunch is also included.
This was my first experience at Lido, which is clean and convenient as located in a central area.

I was surprised how busy it was. I thought saturday (and sunday) was dead, but it wasn't, and people at reception confirmed is like this every weekend.
Apparently, motel is a good business here in Brazil.

Just observed that when a girl ask for the name of your hotel and is aware of the room rates, she will ask for more per hour or night. I kinda avoid it by pretending not knowing what they're saying to me or just answer that its near.

This question , depending on where you are, might work in your advantage:

In rio's termas where the fees are predetermined, the girls always ask you where you are staying , as a conversation starter.

When they do, I usually blow some air up their ass, and claim that I am staying at the famed 'Copacabana Palace'. I get much better service since they hope that I will ask to meet them out of the place of work.

You are right, some of them are smart enough to modulate their request on type of customer.
This is reason I ask for price/service before even telling where I want to meet: my hotel, their place or a motel.

Thats true. But to set up an appointment it should not take more than 5 mins. So it should be a reasonable amount per appointment.

I was wondering if there is someone that could provide this kind of service.

I was wondering if there is any translators, portuguese to english, available in sao paulo who could help me there. Specifically with setting up appointments with the providers. So basically who can do a conference call and help with the translation.
