03-17-09 18:01 #529I agree with a lot of your opinions on the termas. I for one, like Luomo but like you said, they could all be hit or miss. I was in there on sunday night and the vibe was totally different and a lot more chill then Friday. Also not half as many girls. I prefered the friday night thing much better. I checked out Cancun yesterday and I was thouroughly dissapointed. There were about 30 girls, most of which were those big Amazonian types you spoke of and really super aggresive. There were only about 6 guys and we were the only Americans, which made us even more of a target. I had had a morning session with my Help girl from the previous night and was still exausted so I decided not to partake. That was my first time in a terma coming out empty handed. Have lots of reports to write up when I get home and on the recomendations of the board, I'm off to The Irish Pub and Shennanigan's. Thanks for all the suggestions.

So because of the thunderstorm we had last night, we lost all cable, internet, and phone service in our building. So I´m posting from an internet cafe. My wingman made it to town yesterday morning so we decided to hop the metro and hit 4x4. First let me say it was my first time on the metro and it is a cheap, safe, and the easiest way to get to the downtown termas. So we hit 4x4 at about 4pm. The place is off the charts. There must be 100+ girls working at one time. It was completely packed. Lots of Brazilian guys but also a few American regulars I´ve befriended on the Terma circuit. My wingman went right for a cute blonde named Cindy and said she was outstanding. I hung out for a couple hours before I decided on a little brunette spinner named Dominique. She was about 4´10 without her heals on with a great ass and a nice C cup. She gave me without a doubt the best BBBJ I´ve ever had. I lasted all of about ten minutes and thought I wasn´t gonna make it to the sex part. Took the cabine for the full hour and after playing around for a bit she got back to work. These girls at 4x4 more so then any other girls aim to please. I repaid the favor to her and then she asked me to take her from behind(Which being the gentleman that I am, obliged willingly. LOL). We got into one of the steamiest sessions I´ve had down here in 4 trips. The phone rings and speaking from the little head, I just said fuck it, tell em another 40 minutes. By the time I was done, I probably sweated off five lbs. By far the best kind of workout. Finally she was begging for me to finish in her mouth which again I oblidged. I came out of the room at about 9 o clock weaked kneed and in a daze. I was sitting in front of the front desk talking to a guy from Cali and my best word to describe that place is devistating. LOL. In as good a way as possible. Any kind of women you want is available at 4x4. Big bunda, small bunda, blonde, brunette, even Asian. Tall, short. This place has it all. I´m suppose to go out with Dominique tonight but with her knowing no English and me knowing no portugese, I think Im gonna pass. We´re going to actually do Help tonight. We´ll see what tonight brings.

Rio Trip - Termas
Here is my take on the termas. I really enjoyed them. My first stop was Luomo. I think I was kind of spoiled by this. Literally 4 hrs after landing I head over to Luomo and the first terma girl I sit next to is a real stunner, just my type. Everyone has different types I have realized. For me I prefer the skinner, super tight ass and smaller breasts. Her name was Nanda. Within 5 minutes we are kissing. She was probably the best kisser of the whole trip. After I gave her my key and she came back in her black robe barley covering her tiny ass I almost lost it. She was like a piece of art. She was my first Terma girl ever. I think I will always remember her.
Looking back compared to other girls on the trip she probably could have been more passionate on certain parts of the act but her amazing kissing and knockout body just mesmerized me. Damn I wish I could speak Portuguese. That was the constant frustration on the trip. After we are done I am hanging out at the bar and she comes by and says Hello, and I buy her a red bull. I know some people say they just try to scam guys for drinks but I really didn’t feel pressure and if there was one girl I would buy a drink from it was going to be her. She then proceeds to dance in front of me and grind for 15 minutes or so and I am basically ready to go again. I seriously thought at this pt about going right back with her and seeing it got even better but I thought it’s my first night here why rush it. What a mistake. 2 days later I return to Luomo and everyone says she just quit and changed her numbers so no one can reach her. Damn that killed me. My advice if you see a real stunner and you have a good connection with don’t wait for later do whatever you want that day. You never know if you will see her again. If anyone checks out Luomo ask for Nanda and if she is working again please let me know?
I went to luomo 3 times I think so ended up seeing a bunch of girls there. Ruby is a tall skinny white girl with a super tiny ass. Problem is she probably kisses the least of any girl on the trip. She makes up for it with a ton of eye contact though the mirror when you are doing it. It seemed like every girl had their quality and with her I just had to focus on that I was banging one the best bodies I have ever had in my life.
Luomo was probably the friendliest terma. Great facilities and overall good experience. It seems hit or miss, someday lots of girls other days not so many. I found this to be true of a lot of places here.
Next checked out Solarium. Really tiny and cramped main bar area. Went once on Sunday and there were only 4 girls then went 2 days later and it was so packed there was no where to sit. Overall girls tended to be bigger than I would like but always 1-2 thinner girls I like. Seemed to be a lot of local guys just hanging out getting drunk. I never got a girl here but my friend did and said it was good.
The showers and facilities were not as nice as at Luomo.
Next went to Monte Carlo. I had heard bad things about the mgmt here and true to form the manager seemed the most pushy and annoying. The day I went it just seem overrun with giant huge Amazon types that were also super aggressive. I had to fend off girls for the first 30 minutes. Next time I won’t be so shy and will just take advantage of this more. On this trip I was just worried about getting stuck with girls I didn’t like. As the trip went on though I ended up kissing and groping numerous girls that I didn’t take upstairs. Never seemed to be an issue and most girls seem to have fun with it, especially since I was never the aggressor.
There was one girl at Monte Carlo that was my type but she had a little cough and just made me nervous. Didn’t wasn’t to be knocked out for the rest of the trip. So left empty handed. I probably kissed over 50 girls on the trip and only had a sore throat for a couple days. As a side note I pounded vitamin C every day and had an Acai drink every day as well. (side side note, when asking for Acai at the corner stands make sure to ask for little or no sugar added. Otherwise they load it up with sugar and you might as well be drinking a can of coke in the morning).
Next went to the infamous Centarious. It’s been said hundred times but I will add to it. Man this place is overrated. The facilities are worse than several of the other cheaper terms and the staff is not friendly at all. I was shocked to see some of the girls working there. The only endearing quality seemed to be that if you wanted a 3 way there seem to be ample teams available. The girls were really pushy here as well.
I ended up with this tall skinny girl. I forget her name but she has a younger sister working there as well and they work as a team often. She had blonde hair. Amazing kisser and just knockout body. One of those girls that actually looks better naked. Just great moves and super passionate.
4x4: This place is like walking into a Vegas frat party. Few places to sit and wall to wall guys and girls mixing it up. Not the relaxing atmosphere of Luomo. More of a primal feel. Again there are a ton of giant huge Amazon type girls. I guess the local guys prefer this. To each his own I guess. There are always a few smaller skinny light skinned girls. Went here for my last session before leaving. I had Sayori, who is half Japanese. Just off the charts GFE, passionate kisser. Wow I was so happy she was the last one. Left me with great memories.
Cancun: Nice facilities, still not as good as Luomo in my opinion. Just not that many girls the day I was here. I had my first dark black girl here. Really cute and nice just nothing special about it. My friend had this super skinny white girl that said was great. Worth checking out but doesn’t seemed to have that many girls.
Overall the terma experience was great. I felt like it was being in a strip cub but you could actually make out with and talk with any girl there. The carefree attitude of the girls made it very relaxed. These locals don’t realize how good they have it.
I thought there was more impromtu dancing at Luomo. Sometimes 5-6 girls just shaking it which is a site to behold.
Help
Went to Help a couple nights but had to use a short term hotel because of my hotel situation. Definitely a different feel than the termas. I think it’s more hit or miss. You can get something even better or you can strike out. Higher risk but potentially higher reward as well.
I’ll add any other thoughts that come to mine as I unpack.

How to use a bus (onibus)
i travel on buses daily when i´m here - out of choice, not financial circumstances. the advantages imo are considerable. i hope this doesn´t sound like i´m telling anyone how to tie shoelaces, but i realise many people don´t come from a bus culture (or at least a bus culture like the rio one) and may find them a bit intimidating. so here´s a quick guide on ´how to use an onibus ´.
*have small bills or coins on you. change is given but a twenty or larger is likely to be refused and you´ll have to get off. using buses is one of the quickesy ways to faliiarise yourself with the coins of brasil.
*flag down the bus with a straight arm commanding gesture. most stops are request stops. anywhere else the bus can conveniently stop is also a request stop. for instance, on isabel, the vm buses are split between two stops, so you have to be ready to flag the one you want. if a bus has stopped at traffic lights or is in a traffic jam, just knock the door to indicate you want to get on (which you should do quickly - it won´t hang about).
*the fare is displayed on the front windscreen. other useful info is also on the front - final destination, whether the bus is ´aterro´ (express), the route number, and often a board with some of the intermediate destinations. the standard fare is r2.20. air-con buses vary in price and are a bit more - usually 2.50 or 2.70. buses to the distant outskirts may be more. metro buses have their own rules but are quite posh.
*get on at the front of the bus. unless you are a hawker, small child, or someone else that doesn´t intend to pay.
*pay at the turnstile (reasonable amounts of small change given). if there´s no conductor at the turnstile, pay the driver. he can multitask and work out your change while racing other buses at high speed, cornering, filling in his timesheet, eating his lunch and so on.
*sit down and look blank (lol!) rather than having the expression of a schoolboy having a remarkable new experience. this requires concentration on your first trip. rio buses accelerate, brake and turn at high speed rather like a fairground ride and you need to hold on firmly. some wit said that if you missed your morning workout, just get a bus.
*ring the bell in plenty of time. there´s a cord or some buttons for this purpose. bearing in mind the speed of the bus, don´t leave it till the last minute. (for vm, as soon as it hits a flyover). within reason, the driver may let you off where you want if you catch his eye in the mirror. useful for traffic jams, when you want off between stops etc.
*get off at the 2nd door - usually at the rear, sometimes at the middle. if the doors stick, just give them a pull.
standard etiquette
*throw the driver an ´obrigado´ if he´s made a special stop for you.
*seats are always offered to the elderly, pregnant women etc.
*if someone is standing and carrying bags, they may ask you to hold them on your lap. they would do the same fot you when the situation is reversed.
get to know the routes
unlike taxis, buses always go the same way. you will soon start to get to know rio, landmarks, which termas are walking distance from each other, shortcuts, where the metro stops are. you are sitting higher up than in a taxi, without distractions. you can see a lot.
anyone should be able to use a bus to get to centro or vm without a problem. if you want to become more fully acquainted with what bus goes where, pick up a copy of ruas which is a user-friendly a-z with all the routes marked and listed (as well as things like street-numbers - very handy for finding a place on a long street like ns copa).
to centro many centro buses are marked ´centro´ (surprise, surprise, haha). then there´s ones that more or less have to go through some part of centro/lapa like those marked ´rodoviaria. your centro bus, unless it goes via lapa, will stop either on rua de narci, dropping you off a few yards from four x four, or else in the underpass across from praca xv where the boats go to niteroi. from the underpass, it´s only a few yards walk across the praca. coming back, head for rio branco and look for a bus with ´copacabana´on it - simple. remember if you get an aterro bus it will be a lot quicker - it won´t stop at all the little stops in flamengo and gloria and so on into town. if you end up in lapa (look out for the arches) remember centro is only about a hundred yards away.

safety
they are occasional reports of hold-ups. but in a city the size of rio it´s a drop in the ocean. an attempted hold-up might work like this (only one i´ve personally witnessed): about a dozen kids, probably armed, run full tilt directly into the path of the bus in a v shape. the idea is to make th ebus stop or veer. drivers are used tyo this and usually just accelerate (no kids killed at the one i witnessed). then there´s crashes. look at a road crash taxi and a road crash bus - which would you prefer to have been in? muggings on buses: i´ve never witnessed oine but it could happen. most of the buses you will use are major commuter routes though (you mix with a wide cross-section of people on the buses) and are pretty secure. most new buses have security cameras.
btw if your dictionary calls a bus an autocarro it´s wrong. a bus here is an onibus!!

That brings back memories of a great time I had.
I was in the cabine with a garota gettin busy. All of the sudden the door opens and some other girl walks in naked and takes a shower. She is watching the action as she showers and then leaves. a few minutes later she comes back in and joins in the fun. It was great and surprising. I do not think that would have happened for me anywhere else in the world.

I was at 502 last week, a 1 hour session in a cabin is 130R, plus the 20R entrance fee (for a total of 150R). Now if you get the suite with the jacuzzi, then I think its 160R, plus the 20R entrance fee.

I was in Rio over Carnaval for 10 days, went almost most nights to either Monte Carlo or L'uomo (twice). Had good times in both. Specially liked Monte Carlo for the better quality service there. For those visiting frequently, make sure you sign up for the frequent visitor programme they have whereby they accumulate your spendings and after R$500 reais spent, the next visit, they wave your entrance. No big deal, but its nice as you can get to use that $ for "free" drinks. Also, worth mentionning, they guy at the reception, Luis that speaks perfect English is a true asset to the place, very helpful, uber professional and cool as hell as well. After going there so many nights, me and my buddy got a free Monte Carlo T-shirt!
Lancer, you mention 583 NS Copacabana 204, went there twice, once it was closed as it was sunday of Carnaval and the 2nd time we went, only saw very low quality women, so low that we must have spent there no more than 10 seconds to take an overall look before exiting the place as fast as possible that we didn't even bother inquiring about pricing.
When I will get the time, I will post a complete report of my time in Rio as this was a very mongering oriented trip. Monte Carlo or L'uomo almost every night plus afterwards, Help as I was staying next door at the Rio Othon Palace. I didn't get into help but rather sat outside with 2-3 buddies chatting with girls and just watching the zoo and the free great entertainment that is just watching the scene.
Little off topic: since the topic turned into food, a good churrascaria in Ipanema and Copa is the Carretao chain, pretty good and cheap (35 reais). Good service and food. My favorite restaurant on Avenida Atlantica ever sinec my first visit in Rio in 2005 has been Deck right on Siqueira Campos and Av. Atlantica. Good service and a good selection. Also, worth mentionning, on Siqueira Campos, on the way to L'uomo, there is a good rodizio restaurant, upscale very local, called Blue Grill or something. Good food and good service and reasonable pricing.
I already am with big time saudades for a good caipirinha, suco de açai, and the finger foods they have at every padaria or suco bar. Plus of course the gorgeous weather, the beach, the samba, the futebol and the women. Can't wait to be back in Brasil!

VM - road changes - buses etc
They´ve finally finished the roadworks where there used to be a bridge at the end of Rua Ceara* onto Francisco Eugenio. Apart from making this area a bit safer it means you can, if you want, take one of the circlar buses which will now drop you practically on the doorstep of Mimosa. Just if you stay in the Siquera Campos area really, or Ipanema. 462/463 from/to SQ and 461 for Ipanema. It is not, however, the most salubrious of bus routes. Unlike the main highway buses like 455 (which can be very fast) or the Lapa 464 bus, it goes through the grubbier of tunnels - have seen one attempted hold-up there where kids ran head-on at the bus. Less far to walk if it rains tho.
Last night there was a good pagode band in the last show-alley. Unfortunately their staying power wasn´t quite as enduring as Rio rain. It was well after midnight when buses are less frequent so I got a taxi from Praca Bandeira (if you get it from the far side of the Praca it is cheaper as they don´t have to do a switchback). About 18R back to Copa at night. When I got back there was a wrecked bus outside the apartment on Isabel. Had somehow swivelled round in the rain before the bend into B.R. and taken out some of the wall too. One thing about taxis you can always tell them to go slower in the wet (as I did). When I got there there was no sign of whatever vehicle it had written off. The bus was facing into the traffic - only damage was it´s front engine section.
*for newbies, Rua Ceara is the road you take from Praca Bandeira under the bridges and past the Carcaras heavy metal club before turning right into Mimosa. If you walk across the rail tracks you´ve gone too far.
