I totally agree. That is why I think Fuddzie's comment was about Casado Dorado and not Jaguar.

Something has changed at this hotel. I was there last week and the girl working the counter was nothing less than rude. She wouldn't take my 1000 peso note because it has a 1/4 inch rip on the edge. Also my TV didn't and my request for service was ignored. I did complain and the guy working... who did appear to be ok. complained about the treatment of employees. I don't know whats up but no one appears to be too happy working there. THey have lost my business.

This is in reference to Casado Dorado not Jaguar I hope.

Nice comments you made in the Boca Chica thread. I have always seemed to do OK in BC also.

I stayed at Casado Dorado once and it was OK, I was only there two nights and really forgot the details. I agree, no internet, small rooms, etc. Second time I had reservations of which they lost. They showed me a room where you can lay in bed and touch all four walls. I politely declined and left never to return again.

Jaguar has been my spot for quite some time now. They treat me like family as I have been there so many times. Jaguar is a nice quiet hotel. If you plan on throwing an all night beer drinking party don't go to Jaguar.......

I wanted to add my positive experience at the Jaguar. The owner Rafael was very accomodating, spoke English well and was helpful in providing info on restaraunts ATMs etc. The space has a number of cool wood sculptures, that gave it a more upscale look but was very reasonable.

........Clearly the Dorado failed in all these aspects to top it off, the room is very small, no place to move around, and after staying at a place like the Jaragua in the past, this hotel feels like the most you can pay for it is 20$ a night.........He took me to the Jaguar Hotel and Apartment Studios, which is 2 mins away from the Dorado and is literally in the backyard of the Jaragua Hotel and Casino. Arrived there at 1pm after checking out of the Dorado, went to view the rooms. What a difference, huge room, huge safe, small bathroom but clean, small stove, nice size refrigerator, huge king size bed. And wired internet connection. For 60$ decided to take it. I have to say, it was one of the best decisions of my entire trip. Its not your traditional hotel, it has about 5 rooms per floor, only 3 rooms, and there’s no food in the building so those of you looking for continental breakfast. Out of luck. But it was good for me..........

This trip was not the first, but one of many more to come. Usually when I go, I stay at the jaragua hotel and casino, but since they are not GF any more, decided to stay at the La Casona Dorado after reading the forum.

Arrived Thursday morning, 6am, after a 1 hour delay on JetBlue flight leaving out of JFk airport. Flight was ok, except for a couple of Dominicans who wouldn’t stop talking. I had my taxi driver waiting at the airport that I have known now for about 3 yrs. Accompanied with him were two young girls, for myself and cousin. They were no more than an 8’s. (my rating is pretty stern, therefore 8 might be 9 for some of you) Told him to take us straight to La casona dorado.

Arrived, checked in; 50$ a night (the rate is 1600 pesos therefore once you exchange 1:35 the rate would be 45$), went to rooms, was about 7am, decent session until about 9. 30am. Woke up at around 11. 30am, took a shower, and then tried to use the internet. I had to make some calls on my internet phone, therefore needed the internet. NO internet was available, neither a lan connection in the room nor a wireless connection to get on to. Then I started to unpack my suitcase, the closet is in the bathroom, not a problem.come to find out, there is no safe in the room. After doing this and getting frustrated, I started to break a sweat, come to understand, there is no ac in the room, there is a central air vent that air flows through, but not cold.

There are three things I have to have when I go to SDQ. Internet, a Safe to put my valuables, and AC. Clearly the Dorado failed in all these aspects to top it off, the room is very small, no place to move around, and after staying at a place like the Jaragua in the past, this hotel feels like the most you can pay for it is 20$ a night. I called my taxi driver immediately and informed him to take me to the Jaragua, I don’t care if its not GF. HE told me not to worry he’ll take me to a place that is better and its only 60$ a night after agreeing to see the rooms first I would then decide if I wanted to stay. He took me to the Jaguar Hotel and Apartment Studios, which is 2 mins away from the Dorado and is literally in the backyard of the Jaragua Hotel and Casino. Once you exit the hotel, walk to your left, first block make a left, 2 blocks down, there’s a supermarket for shopping. Had great products, fruits etc. Went there, bought lots of items; to drink and eat, a frying pan and eggs and bread. IF you go two blocks down from the supermarket there’s a very good place to eat. The name is not coming to me right now, but they have the food on display and you pick choose to go out or eat right there in there ac enclosed place. I found this a nice spot to pick up local action.

I usually don’t do the casas, simply because it’s usually a rush session and over priced when compared for what you can get if you just meet regular girls and talk to them. However I visited Casa Theresa that night, just to show my cousin how it is for comparison, it was his first time in dr. There were approximately 15-17 girls, about 10 where 6-7’s, 6 were 8’s and 1 was a 9. I decided to go with the 9, charge was 3500 pesos, or 100$. She was really a 9, very very and I repeat, very smooth skin, clean, young 19, pretty face, nice plump ass. Session was not rushed, lasted 45mins, 1 pop, covered everything, performance was an 8. Didn’t not regret seeing her. All of my other action was girls we meet in restaurants, on the streets at the university which is not far from the hotel, and bars. Decent girls, hard working didn’t ask for a price, age 17 and 7/8’s to 21max. Range were 8-9’s All of whom my driver spoke to and got there number and in the same night brought back to hotel. Also had girls my driver knew who he brought, some got returned in the taxi as soon as they came. He actually brought this one 9. 5 for me. Everything was perfect about this girl, can't go into details now. (I know some of you will say, the driver made money on some of these girls. OF course, but the most I payed was 2000 pesos, others got 1000 and 1500 pesos. Range were 7-9’s) These are the types of girls I I like to get. They are not involved with the houses.

To some things up, I had a good time, met some interesting people, between my cousin and myself we had about 30 girls. There are a lot more details and interesting things which I prefer to not disclosed. Any questions you can PM me.

Quick note, I really recommend staying at the Jaguar, it was GF and the owner whom you deal with directly use to live in NY and speaks very good English and is very helpful. In case there interest in finding chicas that do not work in the typical puta houses, the other option is to find the amatuer style chicas of which are usually more affordable as no house commission and expensive alcohol prices.

I have a close DR friend for past 7 months who knows alot of girls and would gladly help in hooking up guys of interest. Dropped by GBP recently for the first time. Easy to get there, tell any taxi Av. Lincoln y 27 de Febrero, Arsimendy Motors. GBP is in the 2nd floor of the building just east of Arsimendy accessible via the stairs facing the Arsimendy building.

Ring the bell on the second floor and they let you in to the bar on the left. Drinks available for a price. There were about 6 girls milling about one afternoon around 5:30pm.
