101 people out of 6 billion have died of swine flu!!!
Whatever you do, don't go to ILLINOIS!!!!
In fact, since Chicago is in Illinois, I am going to
stay out of the Chicago Club, just to be safe!
Deaths linked to swine flu hit 101 worldwide
2 hours ago
CHICAGO (AP) — A second person in Illinois has died from complications of swine flu — pushing the world's death toll past 100.
Illinois officials said the latest victim was a woman from northwest suburban Cook County who had other medical problems that might have made her illness more severe. They did not give her age, and said no other information would be released.
The death reported Wednesday was the 15th in the U.S. and the 101st worldwide linked to the virus that has sickened more than 12,000 people. The deaths of two more New Yorkers were linked Tuesday to swine flu.
Elsewhere, 83 deaths in Mexico, two in Canada and one in Costa Rica have now been linked to swine flu.

Ask them sometime which parts of TJ are "SAFE".
Ask them if the brunch is good at Sanborns (It's great).
Ask them if the guacamole at the Monte Carlo restaurant is good
(It is fantastic, fresh, and made in a kitchen that is cleaner than 75%
of the Taco Bells in the USA)
See if they know more than you about ANYTHING in TJ.
They have the ILLUSION of knowledge because they read a lot of reports, watch Fox News and think they are "close" to the action....
Watch these and you will see what people believe, and how would they know any different?

You are taking their questions too seriously. The border guys go to a sort of "roll call" like cops b4 their shift and occasionally get fired up at random to ask questions, maybe you look like some vague drawing of some guy they saw on a poster, etc.
Also, most of the CBP guys NEVER go into Tijuana, they are 100 meters away and never go, so they know LESS than nothing. They are highly discouraged to go, get their info from silly briefings and TV and wild rumors like everyone else.
If you want a laugh, do a YOUTUBE search for "GLENN BECK, MEXICO" and listen to him screaming how we have to send the Marines into Mexico to "stop the invasion" LOLOL, that's what the border guards "know" about TJ.
They are afraid of getting kidnapped, or investigated for corruption if they enter Mexico, etc., so they are just curious what kinda desperate crazy people would go to a place where bullets are flying and people are dropping like flies from the FLU and all the girls have AIDS, etc.
After all, only a bunch of insane perverts would run through a hail of bullets in order to get aids. What kind of sane person would risk almost certain death to go to TJ???!!! LOL. So when they ask you WHY OH WHY did you go down there, consider it a compliment on your bravery. We should get medals.

Posts: 17Has any one experienced tough question from a US border agent since the incident or told it is unsafe to be in Tijuana (10 pm - 6am) and requesting great personal detail and questioning the purpose of the trip?
So many US border agents around for few travelers in the late hour. Is it safe for TJ travelers?[/QUOTE]I came back from T.J around 4 AM on Friday the 16th. There was no line coming back, in fact it was the fastest crossing I can remember. The border agent just swiped my passport with out asking a single question.
I love these scary days. No line crossing back, lower prices, better service.

Looking forward to it. Can you share details on the chica scene in Cd. Constitution / La Paz? Wouldn't mind take-out from Ensenada for company on the way to Cabo / La Paz. Taking the ferry from La Paz to Mazatlan as well, so I'll have to check out your 'Playa Azul' - sounds fantastic!

Posts: 2422i went down friday hoping to get an early jump on the memorial day weekend traffic. got there at about 12 noon. obviously the girls were still asleep from the night before as there were more waiters in the clubs than girls.
after taking a disappointing peep into the clubs, i found myself at my favorite restaurant. la pearla. it is on the opposite corner from hong kong. ordered the seafood enchilada which contained cut up shrimps, octopus, & fish in a green sauce. incredibly good dish. but unless you can handle spicy food like me, i recommend that you ask the waitress to make it less spicy.
thereafter i returned to hong kong where the girls finally made it in. because it was memorial day weekend, the new girls wore cute camouflaged outfits. and oddly enough many of the regular girls had costumes on. pirates of the caribbean. persian princess. flight attendant. i felt like i was at disney land.
then i took a look at the alley, which isn't an actual alley. it's minor street in the back of the main boulevard. interesting enough all the girls were in their prettiest dresses. they didn't wear their usual "slutty" outfits. they looked more like "club" girls. i was very tempted, but didn't have the courage to try one.
walked around the block then ended up back at adelitas. it started to fill up. but as odd as it sounds, its crowd level was like thursday. i spend some time there, got bored, and returned to hong kong.
there i found "the girl" i've waited for my whole life. well, at least when i saw her, it felt like it. if i was 21 again, it would've been love at first sight. but since i'm in my 40s and in tijuana, i really wanted to screw her. she wanted $80 even after a drink. romantic isn't it?
after i told her i loved her about a dozen times, she finally settled on $60. not bad when she initially told me to take my $60 and go back to adelitas while walking away. wow. tough love. but up we went. in the room, she used some sort of industrial thickness condom. it looked & felt more like latex than a condom. i felt like i was wearing an nbc suit preparing for a chemical attack. we went at it for about 40 minutes.
on the way out, the cleaning boy wanted an extra $12 for the extra 10 minutes. when i refused, he told his elderly boss and the both of them badgered me for the extra cash. really pisses me off. lucky for them they each can kick my ass. when confronted by an overwhelming threat, i did what i'm good at. i ran.
it was around 7, i ran back to la pearla and order the gigantic fish special. it's basically a one pound bbq grilled fish loaded with sweet onions & peppers. what can i say? i like mexican seafood food as much as i like mexican women.
afterwards, i took one last trip into hk. went to the door & gave them a $20 for the tecata. door boy hands me back $15. then waits. when i didn't move, he hands me back a dollar more. then waits. i gave him a dirty look. then he surrenders 50 cents more. what a fucker. tries to stiff me out of 50 cents. he's lucky he can kick my ass too. otherwise, i'd give him an earful.
before anyone calls me cheap, i generally give out about 4-5 dollars in quarters to the kids and charities in the street whenever i'm down here. i just get a little peaved when the goons think of me as an imbecile.
personal observation between hk and adelitas. it seems that the girls are at adelitas to go upstairs. they're not there to mingle. the drink that you buy them are just something they actually have to do to remain employed. at hk, it seems that the prettiest girls are there to have drinks. so they often (the best looking ones) quote outrageous prices.
vitamins are actually sold in the adelitas bathroom. but you need to ask the bathroom boy. in the past, they actually lined up viagra. but i suspect that the local authorities notice that the bathroom was a poor area to distribute prescription medication.
i had a talk with the local pharmacist. according to him, viagra is the most potent. but only an 8 hour duration and isn't as nice on your heart. cialis is the least potent, it last up to 36 hours. levitra is somewhere in between in terms of potency & risk.
in the past, i tried 1/3 a cialis. but this time i tried the entire 20 mg pill to see how it works. it's pretty potent stuff as i walked around with a continuous erection. the down side is that it was very difficult to have an orgasm. great if you're an aspiring porn star. bad if you need to finish. so even if cialis isn't supposed to be so potent, it's still pretty strong for someone in their 40s and in good shape. and it seems that the hours duration period is accurate as i still have a major boner while writing this report on saturday afternoon.
security isn't as heavy as in the past. i didn't see armed swat teams with automatic weapons patrolling the zone anymore. also when i reentered the us, our border guards seemed like they weren't as diligent as in the past.

Driving to Cabo is serious business. Definitely not 5th wheel roads unless you are a seasoned driver with lots of experience. Even with that I'd advise you to take a vehicle that handles well, especially on windy mountain roads. A 5th wheel will add days to the trip and increase the margin of danger.
