I've been hearing this big spenders will spoil the market crap for years but the prices have basically remain at the same level they were years ago.

I don't know how you can say that, because they are not! I NEVER gave more than 1,500bath LT not even in pricey Phuket, and I'm picky when it comes to looks, now, in low sseason and a recession going on, I keep hearing too much figures above 2,000bath in Pattaya which was just a never heard of years ago. Ok, I am just back from a short time and I guess I will stay in Hotel and go early sleeping (it's now 02:34 am). But, let's try again, though I am sure I will not be able to convince you, since you even call the statement of others crap and what else, instead of arguing.

The term "crap” was geared towards to the concept that big spender raise prices and affect the market. It was not personally directed towards you or anyone else. I used it because no one has ever shown any empirical evidence to support the claim you and others have made. Comparatively speaking, Pattaya and Thailand in general is still one of the most economical destinations for sex tourists the world over despite the big spenders claim which has been around for ages.

howdy i usually post in the phil board but i do spend time in pattaya / jomtein too. i spent three months there from oct to dec 25. the night before christmas i did a midnight move and headed to angeles to be with fellow catholics to celebrate. well the real reason i was running from a psycho thai gf who had a mean streak. to this day i still have a few remaining scars from her putting her claws into my flesh.


that aside, i will be back and managed to patch up the farewell speech from the saftey of my home computer with her. in due time they just move on to another chap.

i must say the pattaya jomtein scene is a real sex carnival. on the one side there is quite a bit of competition from fellow punters but there is an abundance of ladies willing to go short time with you, and making a few extra baht no matter what their current relationship status is.

jomtein is my place. i like the local beaches especially cozy beach and the suburban feel to the place. travel to walking street is only 15 minutes away max but i rarely pick up there as i find the prices higher. i would just walk around looking for strays that catch me eyes and make a deal for short time in the 500-1000 baht range. if one is staying a few months its hard to beat the locale. if one is keeping a good looking lady there i think it would be next to impossible to think that she would not be tempted with all the falangs offering to short time her.

there are so many fine restaurants to choose from in the jomtein complex including a large expat bar. however being the thrifty type i would settle with local cuisine and beer at half the price to the foreign owned establishments on average. i found royal park apartments thailand a sweet serviced apartment. it is hidden in the royal park subdivision which makes for a much quieter stay. eddie is the owner is from england and owen runs the place. it is not the cheapest but for a middle of the road budget person like myself it is hard to beat. there is no street scene outside your door unlike many other places with resulting smells and traffic. it a two block walk to the local seven eleven on thepprasit.

i plan to be back in october- january give or take a month enjoying those three months there when the weather is very good not too hot and little rain unlike most parts of thailand and the rest of asia. its a paradise for sex there.

i do find myself hanging out with mates there more than in the phil because fewer ladies speak english and if they do the topics of conversation are limited to the bare bones. just hard to find friends that don't smoke or drink like a fish. so, i doubt i could live there unless i start hanging out at the hospitals and find a women brain surgeon or psychologist - could help in the end.

Good example is tipping. In former time there were not such an habbit to tip. In some countries like England , tipping is not the norm, but in America it's usual. American tourists brought this habbit to Thailand and now tipping is here also usual.

One other example is Thermae in Bangkok. I am not sure if it's was the Japanese, Chinese, or Korean guys, but it doesn't matter. They pay 3000 Baht ST as far I have heard. Now the cute girls there are only going with for 3000 Baht and some do not even consider to go with a Farang.
Better looking girls can ask for higher prices and will get higher prices, because some high spender will pay. There are still enough girl, even cute ones who go for less, but the high spender, sponsors and co do spoil the market for the Stunners since they pay them more.
Ok, some could say it's justified, since a Mercedes also cost more than a Fiat. In the end it's true and in the end nobody will be able to change the system. But, in the end Thailand will gets to expensive and mongers will go to other countries or stay at home.

Example is Spain. In the past it was a cheap place for North and Middle European tourists. Than it got spoiled, prices raised and people changed to Turkey.

Maybe Thailand tourist industrie will compensate the raising of prices with more supply (More Hotels, more Restaurants, more Shops). At the moment through the economic situation there is more supply than demand, so the prices should fall.

It's quite simple. If a girl gets from a customer 2000 Baht for St, because he feels that that price is justified, but the going rate is 1000 Baht than the girl will try to get the next time again 2000 Baht. If there are enough guys whose pay 2000 Baht than the going rate will become 2000 Baht.

Big spenders have been in spurlging in Pattaya for years so the prices should be way more than what they are now. When I go to Super baby or Super Girl a GO GO, I should be quoted the same silly prices the Japanese customers are paying because they pay higher and are "spoiling the market for the rest of us" but the price is still the same for me. If a girl demands 2000B for ST, move on to the next one that will charge your 1000B. Eventually the girl who wants 2000B will return her price to 1000B because there will never be enough high rollers to consistently sustain her.

Simple economics really.

When a guy is horny he rarely thinks with the right head. So when a chick who normally goes for 1000ST all of the sudden tries for 2000ST and gets it from a few "big spenders", she automatically thinks her value is at 2000ST. She will always shoot for this amount because she got it several times before. Her real value may be at 1000ST but in her head, she thinks she is worth more and will always try to get it. A really good example is to go out and find a girl that normally goes for japanese men. These girls will always quote outrageous prices because most japanese guys just pay what the girl asks. Their yen is strong and they can't be bothered with negotiating. I wouldn't say they've ruined the market, but instead created there own.

When you buy a liter of gasoline you use logic in your decision making. You probably wouldn't pay double for what you could get for half across the street would you? When guys buy pussy, very few use logic. It is an emotional sell, and the ones who get all emotional and too horny pay the most!
