It would not be necessary to slow things down with full moderation if members would report offensive posts to the board moderators and the offenders are promptly and publicly warned and disciplined.

Hello Jackson,

You posted the following in the Colombian forum. Could you do something regarding the racist comments in the Rio de Janeiro forum that attacks other ISG members or insults ISG members with posting that have nothing to do with the purpose of the forum, or the interest of paid members. As a Black person, I did pay to read about another IGS members racists comments about other people. If I wanted to read racist content, I could've joined a Klu Klux Klan or a Nazi Hilter monger website instead of ISG.

If and when it closes, I will miss HELP for sure. Had mostly good/great times there over the last 3-4 years (regardless of all the griping from the geriatrics mongers about good old days).

Well said Biz, but you have to admit that we have all been a bit "spoiled" with HELP. I mean, hey - it's been like "Wendy's late night take out window". Regardless of how the night was going, you could always rely on HELP. You could always drop by from 1:30 AM - 3:00 AM and be assured to be able to bring home "a little something". No preparation - no planning - no craft what so ever. You just stumble in, smile a little and "boom" plenty of opportunities. I don't think I am too far out of line to say that it was about as close to "lazy man mongering" as you could get. Sort of like going fishing in one of those farms where you pay your $20 and you keep fishing till you get a bite.

To be sure, if HELP does actually close (and I'm not convinced that it really will) this is going to change the game a bit in Zona Sul unless a replacement pops up. And if one does not, is that REALLY such a bad thing? Sure the convenience will be gone, but there will STILL be GDP in Rio. The local girls will survive and figure out where to set up shop as an alternative. In fact for some of the girls it's probably a blessing because they no longer will have to complete with the part time semi-pro.

Whom I think a HELP closure is really going to hurt is the weekender GDP from outside of Rio. The other day I got an email from a little university student friend of mine who lives in Belo Horizonte. She is frantic because on long weekends and holidays, she could always count on coming to Rio, stay with girlfriends, and setting up shop at HELP for a few nights coming home with a few extra bucks in her jeans. Now, it's not going to be so easy.

Lest we forget that Rio is still one of the great cities in the world where women have a generally open attitude towards sex in general. They are still going to be "available" so it's just a matter of finding out where they are hiding. And of course we have this forum to assist us to sniff out the new spots.

I know that the "old timers" are all just laughing because most of the hardened mongers all have their favorite "fish'in hole" and have not built a reliance on HELP. For them, life won't change much. For the rest of us, it's time to get resourceful, quite being lazy and get in the game. Who knows, it might even be a positive experience. It might even weed out the guys who over-pay (not to open THAT can of worms) and drive the prices up.

Andy, your guess is as probably good as anybody's. Below a poster reports a taxi driver told him this is the last week. Last week I got an email from a guy who told me Oct 1 for sure because it's a done deal but they have another location to go to.

This latest round of Help closing started in February 2008, when the articles appeared in O Globo about the Governor of Rio Expropriating Help to put a musuem there. It sounded serious then as it does now and if you check this forumn or any other forumn Help was doomed in no time, that was 18 months ago and it's still open.

So we could be here in another 18 months from now(wishful thinking) asking the same question or we can be asking where did the girls end up.

Either way you will still find many girls at night in Copa near Help if it closes, they will just be spread out a little bit more.
