For example, take a look below at the posting at 22:29 yesterday. This is an offensive post that should be flagged for review by the moderators. The poster should be warned to cease and desist. The poster modified the message since yesterday and somehow gets under the wire of any review.

    Yeah, seconded, thirded whatever.

btw. Jackson's running of the board is ace IMO. A lot of boards really get their knickers in a twist over such stuff.

I agree. No need for full moderation.

We all joined this forum for the purpose of exchanging information which will help us in our mongering. Occasionally there are members posting racist comments. IMO these members are lowlifes and have nothing to contribute to the forum, and they deserves a warning.

I ask myself why these racist members bothers going to Brazil if they dislike dark skinned people?

I hate the racist posts as much as anybody and reported two of them recently and they got deleted the same day.

That is all we have to do. Instead of arguing with these guys just report the posts. There is a link to do so in every post.

The Brazil forum is probably the most popular by far, so we are going to get knuckleheads along with the good. On the same note, being so popular means lots of posts and information coming all the time. We do not need to slow down the information.

Lets all be more vigilant about reporting these guys rather than arguing with them and getting yourself in trouble with the ADMIN!

Hell No, we don't need that.

I prefer you don't spend your time with pro-active moderation, but instead suggest you assess the new reports after posting and delete the questionable ones. There is a lot of unproductive argumentation going on. I think it is unavoidable but it don't need to be archived.

HELP is more of an eyesore than an icon. There are plenty of mongers who visit Rio all the time and never step foot in HELP, nor find it necessary to (eg., myself). Opportunities abound in Rio and when/if HELP closes the scene will simply change a bit, but the women will be available at different venues.

The few times I ever went into HELP all I ever saw were skanky looking chicks. Perhaps I chose bad nights to visit but on the plus side since I was never impressed with the talent there and thus never became dependent on HELP. I head back to Rio next month and whether HELP is open or not it won't affect me in the least. OTOH - maybe there will be more hot chicks available with the Termas, agencies, etc.

As a Black person, I did pay to read about another IGS members racists comments about other people. If I wanted to read racist content, I could've joined a Klu Klux Klan or a Nazi Hilter monger website instead of ISG.

    Life after HELP?

Well said Biz, but you have to admit that we have all been a bit "spoiled" with HELP. I mean, hey - it's been like "Wendy's late night take out window". Regardless of how the night was going, you could always rely on HELP. You could always drop by from 1:30 AM - 3:00 AM and be assured to be able to bring home "a little something". No preparation - no planning - no craft what so ever. You just stumble in, smile a little and "boom" plenty of opportunities. I don't think I am too far out of line to say that it was about as close to "lazy man mongering" as you could get. Sort of like going fishing in one of those farms where you pay your $20 and you keep fishing till you get a bite.

To be sure, if HELP does actually close (and I'm not convinced that it really will) this is going to change the game a bit in Zona Sul unless a replacement pops up. And if one does not, is that REALLY such a bad thing? Sure the convenience will be gone, but there will STILL be GDP in Rio. The local girls will survive and figure out where to set up shop as an alternative. In fact for some of the girls it's probably a blessing because they no longer will have to complete with the part time semi-pro.

Whom I think a HELP closure is really going to hurt is the weekender GDP from outside of Rio. The other day I got an email from a little university student friend of mine who lives in Belo Horizonte. She is frantic because on long weekends and holidays, she could always count on coming to Rio, stay with girlfriends, and setting up shop at HELP for a few nights coming home with a few extra bucks in her jeans. Now, it's not going to be so easy.

Lest we forget that Rio is still one of the great cities in the world where women have a generally open attitude towards sex in general. They are still going to be "available" so it's just a matter of finding out where they are hiding. And of course we have this forum to assist us to sniff out the new spots.

I know that the "old timers" are all just laughing because most of the hardened mongers all have their favorite "fish'in hole" and have not built a reliance on HELP.
