hopefully they will succeed but seems like they would be better off encouraging free chica entrance to the monger cliental

with a welcome and friendly atmosphere they both would probably be more likely to stay around longer, buy some food, have a drink and spread the joy....

Customer service, word of mouth, ticos are notoriously bad businessmen. Chica fee= lame and would never stay there. Sportsmans it is.

The Dunn Inn is chica friendly.

They take the girls ID and hold it at the desk and will not give it back untill you give the OK

They have an 11 dollar fee.

That is waived if you are a card holder from another site?

It is worth the few dollars to become a member of Costa Rica Ticas if you are going to San Jose. Its saved me a good deal of money from my previous trips.

Anyone on the board ever been to San Jose for New Year's Eve? Thinking of going Dec 30 to Jan 2, but don't know what to expect. Would like to hit a big party somewhere and have a large variety to choose from with the women. Any input? Also, is it tough to get a hotel room this time of year?

I believe you are right.

The Dunn Inn is now chicha friendly with a charge of $11/girl. This charge is waived if you are a member of some organization called Costa Rica Ticas I believe.

Best to check with them if you plan to stay.

I have stayed at the La Amistad Hotel and it is definetly chica friendly.

I am a member of another board that deals exclusively with Costa Rica.

About 6 months ago Hotel Dunn Inn decided that they would be a chica friendly hotel and now advertise that fact on the CR monger board. I have not stayed there but have read good reports about the place.

As I understand it seeing the success of Del Rey, Sportsmans Lodge, La Amistad, Castillo and Hotel Little Havana with more than 80% occupancy rates in this downturn they have decided to try to lure mongers there as well.

Last time I was around the Dunn Inn Hotel - they ( the fellow at the front desk) said that they were a 'family hotel' and did not want guys bringing pay-for-play girls to the rooms....unless the gal was checked in (and her name on the register )with the fellow - when he first checked into the room.

Now maybe things have changed at the Dunn Inn - of which I am not aware of......if so, please tell us your own personal experience of staying there and bringing girls to your room.

Was it OK...was there a 'chica charge' or what ?

Teamhorny, The best place for you is the Hotel La Amistad. It is a chica friendly hotel (no charge for bringing girls to your room) Also unlike the Del Rey and Sportsmans Lodge the guests are a mixture of eco tourists and mongers so you will blend in well.

The Sportsmans Lodge is a 2 minute walk from there and the Del Rey is a 10 min. Walk or 500 to 1000 colones taxi ride at night.

Another good hotel (chica friendly) is the Dunn Inn about 4 blocks away from SL and 10 min walk from DR.

You must have the most understanding wife in the whole world. How does that work exactly. Taking the wife along with you when you go to the other coutnries to monger around. Does she get involved. Or does she just stay out of your way. You don't have go into specific details. Just give us a idea of how that all works for you. When she goes along.

And on the hotels in San Jose. You should try to Hotel Castillo, or Sportsmans Lodge, or the Morazon Hotel. They are all close to the very ' heart of the action ' in San Jose. And all are good places to stay, without draining your budget.

You of course will want to hit the Hotel Del Rey and the Blue Marlin Bar (adjoined). That is where all the Chicas are.7 days a week. And at all hours of the day and night. But the best time to be there is from 8-9. 10-11 PM for the greatest selection of talent.

God I wish I could find a wife like yours it brings tears of joy to my eyes.

What is a good spot in Costa Rica to stay for easy mongering. In the DR the girls were charging about $43 for a short stay and about $80 for a stay over night. Any good mongering hotels can someone reccomend. We speak Spanish,

Oh, Steve, I wasn't saying you were being snappish with the noob, you were very generous. But sometimes people can be real rough on the new guys.

I'm more comfortable in some CentAm capitals than I would be in Detroit, Birmingham, or Sacramento. Know the lingo, know the culture, know what to expect. Get me out of my comfort zone, like my recent forays to MDE or RIO, and I know I am a FNG. Add to this, that I didn't have a lot of time for trial-and-error, and I really appreciated some clues to the tried-and-true, sure to have success places.

Is the Blue Marlin and Key Largo the best place to pick up women.

Also what hotels would you recommend to stay that are good and women friendly

You make some valid points in your thread - but unless he (Sonny Boy ) is completely braindead - he should be OK with the tips I left for him.

(((( I was busy planning my D-Day assult on Managua, Nicarague - which comes up in just 9 days.......I still have research to do on finding a real good apartment for myself.....and also in cultivating my new relationship with a 23 yr old Nica - whom I just met online on Amor.com..... PS I would recommend that site to meet non-pro's in Central America.....but I have found out that young gals are usually looking for pretty young guys....so old farts like me - who have to compete with the young bucks - well we will no doubt have to conquer with our wisdom, experience, and of course our available cash.

On the online 'Love Sites' - especially the ones from North America - when I put up my stats ( and I am almost 65 years young) what I usually get is the old broads who are 55 to 70 years of age....and who think they stilll have a little gas left in the tank.

I've still got some gas in my tank.....but I don't want to waste it on an old gal over 50 - and that's exactly why I go to Central America.

Plus - I did give him ( Sunny Boy) 4-5 good tips at the bottom of my message:

4 decent hotels to check into - DR, SL, C, and M.

1 massage parlor - close at hand and reasonably inexpensive - NF

3 places to find willing Chica Ticas - DRH, BM, and the KL.

(Don't you just hate all those initials for the key spots.....and sometimes it's hard to figure out what the guy is talking about).

Now it is up to him (Sunny Boy) to find those spots himself - as neither your or I can hop down there to 'hold his hand' while he is learning 'the lay of the land' in San Jose. If he asks around (almost anyone in the Gulch ) will gladly give him good guidance.

I just hope when he lands 'behind enemy lines' he has enough sense to keep his gun loaded, and his power dry........


The basic reason I did not spell everything out for him (Sunny Boy) in a fresh report is that I think all the regular - old hands- get kind of tired of the same 10-12 questions asked & answered - over & over & over........
