By the way has anyone tried Heli massage? It is found in the place known as 22 mazoria near beshale buliding. Search for billboard and follow the arrow direction. When you find the place ask for the mattress massage. It is exactly an erotic massage where you have to haggle with the girl for more services including penetrative sex. There are three or four girls in there though I recommend Hanna for her outstanding service. She is like GF type and very giggly. As with all other girls you just have to make the convincing part by paying wholesome tips and of course moody talking. You may also want to try the other girls. I am loving the place and going there frequently as it is not found in the usual vicinity of many massage places and of course the mattress massage is..well you know.

Though obviously the best place for mongering in Ethiopia is Addis Abeba, other cities have also possibilities, and sometimes cheaper and better.

Anything can be possible, but you dont make a mistake if you head to this bars with coloured lights outsides, as though it was christmas. There you will always find girls for sex.

Sometimes that it is very obvious, since there are lots of girls, as in Gondar, where I found a great selection. I chose a lady with a very dark skin, with a nice body and face, for all night and 30 dolars.

I took her to my old-palace-looking-full-of-roaches hotel and banged her (or should I say she banged me, so energetic she was) once. When I took my little one out, she looked at the condon and said we couldnt go on because its monthly business had just arrived. I thought it was a lie (not the first time they try) and I only paid her half price, which she accepted reluctantly.

When I accompanied her out, I noticed that I had left my rooms door open, so I guess that workers in the (near) reception had a nice serenata (confirmed by the smiles next morning). The other surprise was when I put my glasses and saw the condon I had thrown. It had blood, so she was telling the truth and I was somewhat scared till I did my aid test, some time after.

In Bahir Dar you can also find this type of bars. In the biggest one (I think it was called Venus or another mithologycal name) I found a real gem. At first, I thought she was only a waitress, but the girls who serve drinks in these bars are usually in the game. When I asked the owner (who spoke a little english) if the girls were available, she offered her to me, saying she was "a very good girl".

Indeed she was. Small, well built, with big tits and a hard ass, her face was beautiful and she was so nice. Totally GF, we had four nights of long sex. She didnt speak a word of english (nor I ethiopian) but we got on so well. This girl never had a problem for another pop (and another, and another) and was always enthusiastic and very sweet. The agreement was to pay 25 dollars per night (plus 5 dollars for the establishment) but I always gave her a present, since I was so delighted with her. I was in the Meskel Flower Rd area (around Dreamliner Hotel) the other day and was amazed by how many 24 hour massage places exist there now.

I tried Mahi Massage after reading favorable reviews in this forum. Very nice facilities, good medical massage, but no HJ. After finishing I spotted two other girls working, who were better in the looks category. Will try again after 6pm.

Other massage places on Meskel Flower Rd that I saw:

- New Bright
- Nexxus
- Society
- Ritta
- Sedula

These are all literally within 200 m of each other, in addition to the well-known destinations Rosa Massage and Mahi Massage.

I hope some of you will try these places and let us know how they are!

I have stayed at the Atlas Hotel a few times and have never been questioned when i have taken a girl there. Desalgan i beilive is also close by and certainly the street on which Deselgan has a lot of night action and girls walking around.

Atlas is certainly girl friendly and its in a quiter part of Addis. My suggestion is if you are going for a longer period, than try some of the guest houses. They are cheaper and much nicer to stay in. Living in a guest house, you can walk in a time with a girl. I remember one i stayed in often called the Family Guest house which is a 5 min drive from the Airport, the other one is Emmad Appartments which are very reasonably priced and not bad living wise. Emmad is also 5-10 mins drive from the Airport and not far from Bole Road or any other places.

I am about to go back and looking for somewhere to book for a few days R&R before work starts. I also thought about the Yoly but that is a bit expensive and does not look that girl friendly. Yoly is Girlfriendly, no problem, they don't ask for the id of the girl, you can bring the girl and go directly to your room. But when i was there, i try to go in the night club in the basement of the building (Platinum Club) and there was no action at all; May be because it was not the week end.

Many thanks to Asrat for the outstanding report on the massage situation in Addis. I have nothing to add to his report but it does seem that there is a real market niche for someone who is interested in setting up a biz that offers an excellent massage plus those extras that we are all seeking.

I totally agree. I have yet to find a place that has it all - clean facilities, ample selection of hot girls, high quality massage, the full range of extras, discrete but not too sleazy.

Has anyone tried a Moroccan Bath? This is getting quite popular and they are popping up as an added service at many of the massage/sauna/steam places. Basically, you go in a steam room and the girl rubs you with a special oil that makes the sweat build up, then cleans you off and exfoliates your skin with special gloves. All sorts of dead skin and dirt comes off. You walk away feeling squeaky clean and 5 pounds lighter. I haven't had an erotic Moroccan bath yet, but have certainly fantasized about it.

I have been a little busy with work, but found time to get some action in the last couple weeks.

First, off the plane I texted my old regular girl and was excited to get back into the rotation. She came over the first night, we drank a bunch of Tanduay Rum and had a great evening catching up. 3 more days back in the PI where I belong and have much better experiences, but I sure can't complain. Might stick with just the two first girls and leave the WG's alone. Will get a massage before I leave as I have never checked that out yet here in Addis. I like a good massage with extras.

My only success has been to revisit one place in particular with a masseuse I connected with and we have gradually moved beyond the HJ category into other extras but it is taking some investment.

I continue to search for that elusive place and will post when I find it.

this is my first post although i have been following the forum for a while. i am especially interested in the massage scene, and am happy to see that the list of reliable options for a good massage with extras is growing.

here is my experience so far. note that i typically only ask for hj if the girl is reasonably attractive (6+) and i feel there is high likelihood of success. in my experience, it is a good sign if the masseuse leaves the towel off your body, does a good job on your ass and upper thigh area, "accidently" brushes your pole, has a box of tissues in the room, etc. these all signal that there is a good chance of receiving at least a hj. it's definitely a bad sign if the masseuse covers you up with a towel and then avoids the ass and upper thigh area.

in general i have been unsuccessful in beauty salon type places and i assume this is because most of their customers are women. the best are the 24 hour "massage/steam/sauna" places, although even at these places success cannot guaranteed. it's hard to believe that you could have a 24 hour massage parlor without extras available but it's true. who wants a regular massage at 2am? not i.

at all places massage is 80-120 birr for one hour with a tip of 50-100 birr expected for hj service. if the price is above 150 birr, then it's probably a "classy" or "professional" place where extras aren't available anyway.

1. extras (at least hj) are definitely available

helen massage (off bole rd, near jingtao chinese restaurant). reliably good massage with hj easily available. always a few girls (6+) to choose from.

rosa massage (off meskel flower rd, near dreamliner hotel). same owner as helen massage, which is better in all regards. however, good massage with hj is easily available and 2-3 girls (5-6).

happy up (off bole rd, near mega building / makush restaurant). only been once, but received good massage with hj easily. several girls available (6+).

amazing (jambo building, bole tele rd). nice place, decent massage with hj. had same girl both times (4), but at least one other may be available.

global hotel. decent massage with hj. only one girl (5).

lotus (in awassa town). good massage, cute girls (7-8), ok facilities. received hj no problem. other users report nude massage and different extras available.

2. other members have reported extras are available but i didn't get the right vibe

lovely spa (sheger house, bole tele rd). open 24 hours, decent massage but extras did not seem readily available the two times i tried. had cute girl (7) one time but she did not seem interested.

life on (near bole brass hospital, end of bole tele rd). unmemorable experience, did not try again.

moonlight (on eu road, near desalegn hotel). other users report good service (even bj and fs) though i was turned off by the large, unattractive masseuses. i haven't been in 6+ months, so maybe things have changed. good facilities though.

3. extras may be available if you have the right girl and/or haggle a bit

toronto (friendship building, bole rd). really nice, relaxing massage, open 24 hours. two girls working (6-7), though beds are separated by curtains, ie, not very private. haven't been in over 6 months so maybe things have changed.

ethio-thai (ethio-china rd / wello sefer). very good, professional massage with excellent facilities. seemed too classy and professional to consider asking for extras. only saw one masseuse who was not particularly attractive but there are probably many others since it is a big place.

herbal (edna mall, bole tele rd). typical beauty salon offering lackluster massage.

touch me (in dashen bank building just past edna mall, bole tele rd). enjoyed nice moroccan bath but never tried massage. very little privacy. two girls who look like sisters working (5-6).

redwan building (opposite edna mall, bole tele rd). this place gave the right vibe, so i asked for hj but was refused. girl i had was not attractive (4), though i spotted another who was in the 7-8 range.

desalegn hotel. not the eu road branch, but the one on the road between bole and tele bole that passes the unhcr building (up from saay pastry). had awful 30 minute massage from unattractive woman. very crowded with people using sauna/steam. won't repeat.

4. extras definitely not available

rosa (getu building, bole rd). good professional massage, but masseuses are old and/or fat and facilities are not attractive.

bole rock (behind edna mall). excellent gym with good sports massage; choice of woman or chinese man.

boston day spa (bole rd). very upscale place; not worth the money since better massage is available elsewhere for less money.

hilton. same as above.

sheraton. same as above.

filwuha spa (city center, near "fin fine"). large compound with natural hot springs. excellent therapeutic massage. choice of four blind men!

Addis Abeba, Street Brothels - 3 photos

Discovered a street with street brothels, red curtains hanging before the cottages…
Mescal Place/ take the road where the TOTAL petrol station is in the right corner at the beginning of the street (street leads to CONCORDE DISCO)/ after crossing the old rails/ take the road right/ after about 500m again right.
A shot should cost 50 birr (~ 3 Euro!).
Short story to the photo where the chick is seen.
She looked so cute and she waved me when I stopped the car.
Had 3 possibilities for taking a photo, asking her and offering money, but 1stly it was not sure she would agree, and the photo composition might not be so natural.
2nd making a quick shot and heading off
3rd making the photo discreetly. Opted for this. I deactivate the flash ready for photo hunting. I waited at least 30 minutes, sitting in the car and pretending to be waiting for something else; aggravatingly 2 policemen were sitting in front not far from me. Patience was asked, as people passed from front and from back. In the meantime the girl disappeared from the door from time to time. Finally I rose my camera and pressed the shutter release, big shit the flash came! (I must have enabled it by mistake). Kicked the car and went off (engine was running all the time). The power situation ha snot improved at all. Despite some announcements of the Government, Addis is shut down every second day from around 07.30 until after 20.00 hours. Perhaps the situation will improve towards the coming weekend (Ethiopian New Year). Basic problem is that two big dams, which should have been finished 2007 and 2008 respectively are still not producing. Life has become rather awkward without electricity.

I never post here, I hope I am doing this correctly. I was in Ethiopia in 2005, right after election disputes. I recall people telling me there were power outages when the BBC (or someone) broadcast a radio program that provided an uncensored view of the outside world / opinions critical of the ruling party. Their claim was that the government was shutting off power so that people could not listen to this radio broadcast. Everyone simply turned on a battery powered radio and listened to the "dangerous" radio program anyway.

Has anyone else heard this explanation?
