Thanks Chief Justice/Bg Ribs for the quick responds. I have already made revs. At Seabreeze Hotel and they got back to me already with a com. So its on Feb-25/Mar-1. Now just to get airfare together I'd be set. Is there a map of sosua with all the hot spots to hit, banks, good food, the past reports I have read say the beach is 5 blks away? And should I rent a car?

February 27 is Dominican Independence Day. They have a military parade in Santo Domingo which is boring. It is just another long holiday weekend, no big partying. The first sunday in March will be Carnaval in Santo Domingo which is really nice to see.
I like Boca Chica but to spend an entire week in BC is a bit too much. Three nights max is plenty.

This will be my 3rd time in DR, I was there for New Years, it was ok, but notice that the same chicas were walking the strip everynite, during the day it was dead, but since I'm new to DR I'm going to give one more chance. I need a new place to stay and not the Hotel Europa. I've read alot of the past and current reports great advice from some true vets of the place, Thank you! But I need help from Geolopes you posted a report on Hotel Neptunio Refugio, do you think it would be ok for my 3rd trip? I do not speak spanish so I'm just going to fly in and try and get a room that day think it would be ok, they say the weekend of the feb-27 is a big party in the DR, please help?

Posts: 1Anybody has a contact info for one or two chicas in Boca Chica?
I will arrive in Santo Domingo/Boca Chica on Jan 27 at 3:00 AM in the morning and I don't want to spend the night alone. Can anybody give me a suggestion or a contact info of a nice chica that might be available at that time of the night? Any help would be very appreciated.

I have stayed at Costalunga and Candil and your review was spot on. I prefer Costalunga because it is a little more private and you can come and go as you please without the picking up your "fish" key mess. Also at Costalunga at night there are a few chicas who hang out in the outdoor lounge area on the ground level. A main plus with Costalunga is no problem with multiple chicas in your room at one time. I have had three chicas in my room on occasion with no problem from security.

At Costalunga on the fourth floor, at the top of the stairway, you can sit and have WiFi. A bit of a problem going up and down the stairs but it is a quiet spot with a couple of chairs and a table. Costalunga also has a very nice pool area.
At Candil the "fish" key is a pain having to turn it in each time you leave. The sitting area with the TV has no A/C and the bedroom has no TV.
Both hotels you should take a moto to and from the strip at night.

- bad: no front desk or people to help (paperwork is done in the internet cafe)
- bad: noisey on the street side (why I moved)
- bad: 2 dark blocks from the center of the action
- good: big room; kitchenette
- good/bad: no wifi; you can connect in the internet cafe via wire (which they will provide) for free; so it's a good connection but not as convenient as in your room

- bad: 2 dark blocks from the center of the actiona
- bad: I had to sit in the doorway to balcony to get wifi reception
- bad: the key is on a huge wooden fish to make you turn it in at the desk when you go out
- good: nice, big airy sitting room
- good: kitchenette

Posts: 41Recommended no-frills hotel in BC
Hello, fellow mongers,
If you are looking for a decent no-frills hotel in BC then I highly recommend the Hotel Coco Playa (the old Don Emilio) on Calle Abraham #2. It is right on the beach and has a decent open-air bar/restaurant. Plenty of parking. I didn't bring my laptop on that trip so I'm not for sure but I saw people using their laptops in the restaurant area so I'm assuming that they have wifi.
The owners are a couple of guys from Spain and very friendly. The rooms are nothing to write home about but I got a spacious room w/ queen-sized bed and a/c with an ocean view for about $40 per night and breakfast. No extra taxes or charges and they don't even look at who you bring to the room. It is only a couple of blocks from where they close off the streets at night and during the day the beach in front of the hotel was packed with action. You can rent an umbrella and chairs and have drinks/food delivered.
Stay horny my friends
