Beside the one or two "you are a noob so fu" or "you haven't shared so fu" most comments have made sense and have been mature. Thanks for the explanation that most people gave: namely that many of these joints are operating illigally. And that police, contrary to in Thailand and many other countries, actually visit these places. I wasn't fully appreciating that this is illigal I guess.

Now. This fact unfortunately makes the melb forum far less useful than most other forum on ISG. I guess the use is mostly about places we already know where are. Fair enough since that is just the way it is.

Wouldn't it be more polite for these people to PM the original poster and ask for the information directly??

A lot of the good R&T places have been closed down or visited by council. Very dangerous to post too obvious addresses here or PM people with the info who do not have a good track record of sharing.

These places must advertise elsewhere to get business, so Councils have lots of more overt evidence than an occasional report on ISG. I don't frequent Melbourne, but a similar situation exists in Sydney where there are hundreds of shops advertising in the main and local papers.

I also prefer this forum to be a single forum.

But I only rarely browse / report on this forum anyway because this forum takes a long long long time for a post to appear, hence reply-posts would take even longer time.

The other time I have tested for my post to appear was about 12 hrs!

You must still be on "moderated" status, the admin people vet your post before it appears. Once you reach a certain level of acceptable posts, they should appear instantly.

Depends on the poster, some people give a lot of details, some give none, most probably give enough to work it out if you're a punter and a regular. The argument is 'do by-law enforcing people read this forum and use the information to close down places' or get extra income etc etc :-).

Maybe it's about time we found out - would all such people raise their hand and also say how often they log in and what they ignore.

Personally I prefer a single forum because licensed/casual/RnT/FS places tend to overlap [or maybe I've lust been lucky :-)
