Posts: 93Day 1 in Ball Heaven
I got to the airport 1. 5 hours late and after a little confusion (my fault as I kept my info from the internet, and there ain't no internet at the airport) BB picked me up and we went to dinner and my brand new squeeze. Guerdine. Back to the mansion after a drive through the trolling zone (girls eveywhere) and after a shower down to bed with G. Fun fun with a sweet young thing. Great bbj etc. Woke up to the most fantastic view of PP bay My God, will my willie hold up. Now I'm off to get a phone, change $. BB is a real story teller and good guide.

Posts: 567New pricing structure April 1
Any reservations held by a deposit before April 1 will be honored even if you do not come until December. But as of April 1 there will be a new pricing structure that will be according to the room you get. The Penthouse will $150 and the Next room will be $125. Still working on the pricing of the other rooms. Do not get me wrong, all are as good or better than the old mansion. If you are one that was given a free stay because of a contest or something you did beyond the call of duty, you will get that night free regardless.

We are keeping a very low profile. Also, we have a generator and a 6KVW Inverter. Unfortunately there is no Company electrical power out here but we can handle it. At nights, it gets cool enough with the breeze off the ocean that you will need to cover up and turn the fans off. During the day, you just stay out of the sun unless you like it. The beach is about 200 yards down a rugged hillside and the water is great. When you sit outside on the patios, you will feel like you are close to heaven. It is great.[

I'm interested to here you're now located near the sea. Where exactly is your new spot? Perhaps you could post it on a map of Haiti. I assume it's a bit more remotely located which has it's advantages for those of us who like the idea of a more rural setting. How are you dealing with airport transfers? Perhaps you'll post some fotos of the place and it's surroundings.
Best of luck!

Just want to keep you guys up to date on our new house in Haiti. It is much larger than the old mansion and much nicer. I know the guys that have come to the mansion in the past wonder how that can be. The beds are better, view of the ocean and the mountains, and the seclusion lets our guest sleep better, make as much noise as possible without disturbing the neighbors, and what can be better than a swim in the ocean. Our rooms vary from 2 rooms sharing a bath with a private hallway between the two rooms and bath to the penthouse which can include an entire floor with a beautiful view of the ocean and mountains. With it comes a kingsize bed, a private bath, refrig in the room, balcony attached to the bedroom, and access to 2 other large balconies with views of the ocean and mountains. We have had requests from people to rent this on a monthly basis but we feel it is too valuable to let it go like that.
Of course at this time we are still sticking to our $85 a night with breakfast and dinner. We will continue this for a month or two. The rooms will be given in the order they are reserved. We have many people talking about coming from the 13th of March thru April. During the period following the earhquake, we were allowing people to stay at the mansion for nothing. All they had to do was furnish food and fuel for the vehicle to drive them around. All things come to an end. If you are coming with a help group, they will provide you with free room and board as long as you are out helping the needy. We were a part of that but at this time, the food and water distribution has been taken care of by the many help groups.
We are now taking reservations starting with March 10th. There must be a deposit as in the past we have experienced a few guys making reservations and then being no shows.
The rooms will be reserved in the following manner:
1. Penthouse
2. Second floor private bath
3. Second floor with shared bath and balcony with view of the ocean
4. Second floor with shared bath and view of the mountain
5. First floor with shared bath and view of the ocean
6. First floor with shared bath and view of the mountain.
Keep in mind that all rooms have access to the third floor balcony which are very large with a beautiful view of the ocean and mountains.
I can tell you that within the near future the penthouse will rent for a minimum of $150 per night.
If there is not enough guests at the time of your visit and you have choices 3,4,5,and 6, you will have a private bath as you will be able to close the hallway door making it private to your room. Also, if you come with a monger buddy, most of you do not mind sharing a bath with them.
We will start having BBQs on Sunday and Saturday.
Come and have fun

Also, if you think about it from a practical standpoint, the border guards going in to RD must be more vigilant than the borderguards going in to Haiti.
With all due respect, there are many more Haitians trying to emigrate into RD than vice versa.

Posts: 3074BadBear didnīt rip me off.
For those who may not know, the morning of the day of the earthquake, after talking to BB, I purchased a ticket to PAP and also sent him money for 6 nights at his place. Some hours later the earthquake hit. I am still fighting with the airline to give me back my money for the ticket I couldnīt use. But BadBear sent me back every cent.
