I did my usual run to see my "novia" in Tijuana. I have seen her for 2 1/2 years. Last night crossing (started at 7 pm) was THE WORST in my history. I have been in FAR longer lines in that time but 4 1/2 hours was fuckin ridiculous!. It took 3 hours to reach the pedestrian bridge. Once I finally reached the agent the were deliberately stalling. With the length of time, they were still asking their stupid questions, even looking at my "travel history" on the computer. " Bringing anything back from Mexico?" then starts to explain what needs to be declared! Cigs, booze etc. I said what is wrong with you? Don't you think I know what needs to be declaired. I've been in line for 4 1/2 hours! His classic response is your problem you chose to go to Mexico. ASSHOLE!

So I am in the A mart and I tell the clerk about the time it took to cross. He said people were screaming at "him' because it was taking so long all day. Three agents were in the store. I said and I quote / What the fuck is wrong with you guys? Putting on the slowdown! Their response was EXACTLY the same as the other agent- You chose to go to Mexico-you could of stayed home. I said to their faces they were fuckin assholes! 3 others in the store agreed! Then they said you just should get SENTRI so we don. T have to deal with you!

I know what it is like. I cross back from Mexicali and the lines should only take 45 minutes but take close to 2 hours. I have said the same thing to the agents and they give me the same response. I just tell them that if I didn't go to Mexico, they wouldn't have a job.

They don't really care about your reason. I told them that a friend had moved there and that I wanted Global Entry on my passport because at the time the closest place to interview for that was LA. Both were true but neither were essential reasons.
