I went to CJ's last nite. The prices are crazy. IDR 1-1.5mil ST, 1.5-2.2mil LT.

Even after bargaining, the girls all held to 1.5mil LT. I don't see the point of paying a LT rate that is higher than in Malaysia (for Indo girls). No difference in quality of girls. Might as well save on the travel cost & unload in home country. BKK pricing has also seen an increase but no where as crazy as JKT.

Mistere was just so dead. Went in and out in 15 mins.

I went twice about 2 years ago for KTV, and they didn't have the spa yet. Girls were run-of-the-mill in terms of looks; I do remember that their drinks package included girls.

If I recall, it was something like this : "1 bottle Johnny Walker Black Label + 2 Local Girls = Rp 1.200.000". It was slightly more pricey for the "foreign" girls, i.e. PRCs.

They had HUGE KTV rooms, some can seat 30 easily.

Start the day early, ask HM to send to LRT station to go to Sentral, then board yellow bus to LCCT about 7. 40am, after straight to LCCT. Verified web boarding pass which took almost half an hour due to limited counter was open. Then straight to the gate. About 10 minutes later boarding call was made and I'm lining in the que waiting for the gate to be open, luckily manage to get a hot seat, so manage to squeeze my self among the 1st few passengers to board the flight.

Arrive in Jakarta around 10. 50pm local time and straight to the immi counter, passed all the docs after about 1 mins or so checking my passport, he suddenly asked for return tickets. Just remembered, forgot to print, then said to the officer " maaf ya mas, lupa utk print dr komputer". He nodded and reminded me to print for next trip. Fhewww, what a close call. Then went thru the customs smoothly and straight to Taxi counter to Mercure Hayam Wuruk.

Upon arriving in Mercure, true enough that my room was not ready due to some conference held. Told the counter to check in later and left my luggage at the concierge.

Went out towards Kartika but before that had to take lunch, my stomach already sang the national anthem. After the lunch, straight to Kartika.

As usual, the light was dim. So had to adjust my sight from the sunny bright sunlight outside. A local middle aged man was seated at the counter. Mami Yayuk approach me and one of her girl name Yuli is sweet talking to me. Satisfied with both explanation, asked the girl to go to the room. Went to the room and chat while she prepare the bed for the soapy action. She asked when I'm from and replied her from Malaysia. She commented a lot Malaysian is going to Kartika. Well, I replied if that's the case I said the mgmt shud give some sorts of discount to Malaysia which she just smile without saying a word. Then the rest is SOP.

Saw a news report on CNA this evening where the director of operations at CGK (Soekarno-Hatta Int'l) was quoted as saying that all international flights are now 'seperti biasa'... not sure about domestic flights though.

As far as I know 11 international arilines have cancelled some flights into jakarta as of sunday/7th. I had a friend fly to bali and she got there fine yesterday . The ash cloud at about 20,000 feet is not affecting Jakarta but is just south of the city and this may change .

I do maintain an apartment in Jakarta but I do not like to take the ayam back to my building as it can be worse than the walk of shame to the 6th floor Melawai. While I am registered with immigration with my apartments address. If I check into a hotel in jakarta or anywhere in indonesia will this show up on my immigration records. Since the girlfriend handles my immigration documents this could pose a problem. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've yet to see anything turn up on my passport or immigration record wrt to hotels I've stayed in short of what I fill out in the immigration form. Even then I have ended up staying at a different hotel from the one I wrote in the immigration card due to non-availability - but nothing has ever been mentioned regarding this. Has anyone had any different experience to this?

Check if your one night stand owns a KTP which what she can check in. I did it in the past to get the pribumi-rates in hotels before I got one myself.

Incidentally, during my last trip, I did get my girl to check in on my behalf and purchased the voucher at Indotel in her name - saved me 200k rupiahs a night for a two bedroom unit in Puri Casablanca. But I also told reception that should anyone call, the room was in my name and there was to be absolutely no mention of her name. They sorted that out without blinking an eye.
