The Dutch newspaper "Algemeen Dagblad" reports on its website today that Lebanon has 5 times more women then men. It is an interesting story which claims that most men either died in warfare or have emigrated, leaving the women behind. Also in this report it was highlighted that many young women look towards foreign militairy servicemen in the UN peacekeepingforce for potential husbands.

I felt that this was an interesting perspective for us mongerors. The country seems to have potential if the male to female is true as reported (although I doubt the ratio personally 5:1 seems to high way to high!)

No idea. It's just the way it has always been. I guess there are less girls to go around than say Dubai, and they are catering for a more Arab than ex-pat market so can get away with charging more. $=USD, the primary hard currency in Lebanon. You won't get far with Euros or Leb Lira.

You can pay for everything in USD, meals, drinks, and always for girls, they wont accept any other currency usually. But dont expect change in USD, you will get it in Lira, and don't expect change of any kind from the laydeees. You usually pay the pimp anyway, and its up front or nothing usually unless the girl is sent on her own which sometimes happens if the pimp has been in to check you out already, then you should pay after, and always the agreed amount fort the time alloted fellas. A deal is a deal after all.

Once a cab driver to us to the a couple of parked cars on the edge of the Palestinian camp in Southern Beirut and we chose out of the car, and were able to haggel down to $100 an hour each as it was about 4 am and little prospect of their minders finding any trade later than that.

The going rate for this delivery service is $150/hour, but dont let them talk on their mobiles for 15 mins or use the hotel room phone, as they will take the [CodeWord140] given an inch. I had two for $200 once for an hour after some barganing and sending them away once, but again that was about 4.00am and probably little else on offer for them at that time of the morning. The previous threads about the super-nigh-clubs are accurate, you usually have to wait until the next day, but sometimes you can get them to leave with you straigth away if your hotel is not far from teh club, don't be afraid to ask OR haggle.

I have been to Sunset yesterday night.

I found it on the main road of Maameltain, the coastal road next to COBRA Super Night Club. The Super night club's sign was shining int he night as usual. Sunset is a smaller rectangular shaped sign. Its yellow and is entiteled:

Its got a small outside joint with a small bar.
