Unless an auto accident happens in a spectacular fashion or involves victims considered to be newsworthy, they don't tend to be documented beyond the local police records. Aircraft accidents, on the other hand, tend to get prominent coverage. So, in this instance it is the foreigner angle that is the equivalent of an aircraft accident versus someone flipping a car on a dark road. So don't be frightened, be aware.

So as an example, in Meringue, one of the poorer barrios in Medellin, when there are some murders there, they won't be publicized in the local news, where as in a poor neighborhood in LOS Angeles as an example in the USA, when people get murdered, it will be on the local news. In my experience, I've never found myself in a situation in Colombia where my only option was a girl with butt or breast implants. Not sure if all ganstas like big fat women. Some like spinners too. When I was in La Isla, a few guys took 2 medium-sized girls and were drinking a bottle of champagne with them. The huge ones were unmolested. I felt sad for them.

I'm headed back to Medellin tomorrow for the first trip post-pandemic and my second trip overall. I'm staying at San Peter in Laureles for just over a week. The buildup to this trip has been interesting. I built a list of over 600 girls on Facebook. It started for my first trip but really went into overdrive when I was stuck in my house and bored during the height of the pandemic.
