Have any of you guys sponsored any of these girls and tried to get them an education or out of the bar? I met a dynamite girl who I would considered sponsoring who looks like a Goddess but I don't know how that works. Are the girls typically loyal or does it vary on an individual basis? Anyone have any experience with this?
If this isn't your first trip to Asia you would not ask this question. A less painful way to part with your money would be to burn it.

As for turning a WG into a housewife. Kingdoms have been lost. Don't waste your time contemplating such matters.

    Sponsoring A Bargirl

I sponsored one bargirl 30+ years ago who was dancing on Soi Cowboy. 19 years old with a 4 year old son. I'd met her over about 3 trips in 18 months. Readily identifiable as an honest, no bullshit type of person. Very "unThai". She only had a 3rd grade education. Her Thai husband had left her shortly after their kid was born. He was almost twice her age. No sick mother or buffalo. Needed to support her kid and parents. (She had two cousins doing the same work.) She jumped at the chance of going for vocational training; she decided to try "hair school". 6 months program. Tuition and a stipend was provided by yours truly. Stipend was administered by a trustworthy Thai friend in BKK. He checked weekly at the school to make sure she was attending and progressing. If not, the stipend / sponsorship would be terminated. She finished and mailed me a fancy invitation to her graduation ceremony in BKK. That was very interesting. Loyal? 200%. She got married to a good Thai guy who had a good job at a Thai uni. He got her a job there and she has been employed at the uni for close to 30 years. LOL Loyal? After her husband died unexpectedly, she resumed our previous relationship. I chat with her from time to time on Facebook. She's a real gem. She's a grandmother you'd like to F+++ (Still trim and very well aged.) She is the only bargirl I've even considered for a fleeting moment to sponsor. Without the help of my Thai buddy in making sure she followed through, I would not have done it. Indeed, I'd generally stay clear of any sponsorship of a bargirl.

    First time in Cambodia

I stayed 6 days at sun and moon hotel. They require original ID and vaccine card and charge 10 $ Per girl. This hotel probably has the nicest pool, but you can access it if you aren't staying there for 10/ day (sometimes for free because they don't come ask you for the money, all you have to do is walk to the back of the lobby and to the elevator to the top floor). I should've stayed in tao riverside because they don't ask for ID and don't charge per girl. I paid anywhere from 50-100/ night. The hotter the girl the more you pay, also I'd they are 18/19 lowest I saw was 80. Pretty slow not a lot of farang. I had some great girls. I'd say about half of them did not do BJ. 6 girls total this trip. 3 let me have sex no condom, loved stuffing those tiny little things.

Its A bit of a hassle getting through customs because they want a visa (usually takes 3 days, but I got one within 24 h using evisa and require a pcr). To get around I used tuk tuk, they usually charge 3 dollars to get around the district. You can download "pass app" and it's much cheaper. GRAB app was useless for transportation.

I like it better than Thailand (been there twice previously). The reason I like it better than Thailand is because the girls are overall more friendly. I'm a big black guy about 5'11 245 muscular football frame. In Thailand on multiple occasions girls would say "NO" to barfine in bars and gogo. The girls are way more particular in Thailand. I was never refused service by any girls in Cambodia and all of the ones I picked were absolutely mind-blowingly tiny. It was greattt. It's incredibly depressing to be turned down by some tiny Asian girl stunner working in a working girl house. One very annoying this I encountered was talking to a girl only to find out they don't go with customers. I don't understand that at all. The girls would say "you are cute I like you, but I no go with customer". I asked if they have BF or sponsor and they say no. It was always the younger girls that were 18. Despite that I had 2 18 year olds that were fantastic, who did not object to barfine. I can't make heads or tails why some of the young ones went and why the others didn't. Some parts of the culture and customs are very strange. They girls call cousins "sister" even if they aren't sisters.

PP has some bars with ST rooms

It's generally true that the hostess bars in Phnom Penh are all "take-out" establishments. When you find a girl you like, you pay the barfine and take her back to your hotel. However, I was just in PP and actually found at least one bar that has on-site ST rooms -- there may be more in that area.

Specifically on a street parallel to the river between 110 and 118 (one block west from the main river road) there are several hostess bars, and I suspect more than one of them may have ST rooms. The ST room I used was technically an apartment reached by going out of the bar, which is probably how they avoid legal scrutiny. Even though the room was a bit ramshackle and the "AC" was just some fans, I picked a really good one and got one of the best lays of my whole trip.

If you're adventurous, or are too horny to care about the accommodations, it's worth a look.

    Phnom Penh Hotels

I was just in Cambodia, and I stayed at the Sun&Moon and also at the Lux Riverside. The Sun&Moon is way nicer (and very cheap right now), but it is definitely more rigid about their guest policy -- they require ID and a Vax card. Still, that only caused an issue once when I took back a girl who doesn't normally do bar fines (it worked out, I convinced the desk man to let it slide that she didn't have her vax card with). The Lux is older and has fewer amenities, but is more chill about guests. IMO, virtually anything above $30 in the riverside area will be fine.

One thing to note about your return journey is that a PCR test in Cambodia will set you back $130.

    Hey Paolo,

A tourist visa which cost $38 if I recall. Very straightforward but it did take about 7 days for the approval confirmation. Then assuming you are fully vaccinated a negative PCR test up to 72 hours before flying and an ART test on arrival which you have to wait at the airport to get the results.

You're right I'm paying $60 and that is a little pricey for a hotel with the high end facilities such as a pool and gym. But I like the idea of a large balcony over looking the riverside, it's also a high floor and is near to the action. So I'm willing to pay for that.

    Cheers.

I stayed at TAO for one night, the room was big but the place was very overpriced in my opinion (60 dollars) but I didn't have the balcony on the riverside, mine was on the street.

If I remember correctly the night clerk was locking the lobby's door at night, I had to wake him up to enter the hotel after a night out.

And taking the girl's ID was already something they were doing pre-covid, he even called me to check if everything was ok before giving her ID back.

As most hotel booking sites are giving free cancellation and nothing to pay until a couple of days before you arrive, I will probably book both and then mull it over. I really like the large balcony and riverside view of the TAO, and the girl having ID helps ensure that you don't end up with an underaged girl.

    Hotel

During my stay back in 2017, I did not come across any under aged girls. Nevertheless, I agree ID helps to prevent that. But many hotels do not really check!

In pre-Covid times I would roll my eyes at yet another "is the hotel GF" ask when the answer is always simply RTFF. However where we are now, for the time being at least it's a very different landscape than it was in 2019, so the more we can help each other navigate the new landscape the better. Communalism rather than individualism I guess..

I've got a great deal on a suite in Sun and Moon so I will check with the hotel as RacShack suggested and report back. And if I can dodge Covid from now until the my departure I'll post my experiences. First time out of Singapore for 3 years. Can't wait.

    Cheers.
