You mean there are a lot of bustier girls in Davao? Hmmm. Maybe I will have a look after all. Thanks for the replies guys.

I guess Subic afficionados would be miffed at how Davao is a topic of conversation on their thread but I suppose at the end of the day any discussion involving the Philippines is bound to lack discipline.

I'm struggling to remember an Asian city where I felt safer wandering around town at 2 am than Davao. Add in honest taxis and nice eateries and it's a great place.

I'm pretty sure anyone who made a fuss in Duterte's back yard would become a suicidal fanatic regardless of if they intended to or not. 😁.

    Enjoy. G.

There are groups of them who exchange tips on how to use Japanese, Koreans, Cheap Charlie Westerners and so on. Having some grandpapa from Texas does not impress the trike driving or Red Horse drinking fraternity, just as it would not their Western equivalents.

The foreigner is a source of steady cash flow for the woman. I drank with expats in Angeles, m shooting the breeze with them. The wife would send the trike to collect thm at 7 pm and woe betide them if their eyes wandered. The prettiest just got her claws into a nicer older guy and did waitressing when he was away as she did not like bonking armies of strangers.

These armies of women pick their survival strategies, much as any other parasite in nature does. The saddest thing for me is seeing the Pina Love ads by mothers of three, hoping someone will take care of them.

Nature is tough and usually merciless. Although we should have compassion, we should not BS ourselves. For most of us, our only game is our wallet.
These are very good points. Still, many mongers will convince themselves that the LBFMs want them for something other than financial and migratory benefits. They desperately want to believe that their LBFM is different from all of the others. The prospect of owning their very own piece of exotic snatch has them dancing like a squirrel in the path of a speeding Dodge Demon. The result is tragic but it will occur time and again because much like that squirrel, many mongers cannot escape their nature when it comes to pussy. They are eager to risk it all just for a nut.

In many ways the prospective white guy is the same as the pinoy courter: he'll be accepted but only if he's socially and financially acceptable.

As I was experiencing a brownout a few days ago, due to yet another blown transformer, I had to laugh while reminding myself that there are some things you just have to accept if you decide to live and be happy here. I guess that was the most difficult lesson for me to learn and it took me quite a while to internalize. For me, there are frustrations in living here—as I suppose there are anywhere—but the advantages far outweigh the downsides. I also think it's important to give very careful consideration to where you ultimately decide to live in the country as location is, I believe, highly correlated with the types of expats you're going to meet on a daily basis.

One of the many reasons I like Davao is that, while there are ample mongering opportunities, the city is not a Class A mongering destination. Thus, we don't get many of the "two week millionaire" types whose sole objectives are to drink and monger. There's nothing wrong with the latter, but if you live here, and if these are the only guys you meet on a regular basis, the conversations become boring and predictable and it all gets pretty empty and old pretty fast. Most of the expats I know here live "normal" lives; are married or are in long-term relationships and are generally interesting people. Plus, the expat community here is comprised of so many nationalities, cultures and points of view that continued exposure to a portion of that community is a continuous learning experience. I guess that's one of the reasons that I would never choose to relocate to Subic or Angeles; I would miss that diversity and would miss the stability of the expat community that I find here.

I'm not criticizing the choices anyone else makes. It's a personal point of view that's evolved after having spent more than 40 years working around the globe in "developing" countries.

They will also not believe you when you say you are doing import-export business in the Philippines and came to meet some customers. The only importing you may be doing is baby batter from the USA and the only exporting you will be doing is sending over a 20 year old, illiterate, innumerate LBFM with crooked teeth back to your trailer park in Sioux City, Iowa. They all know you are here to fuck nubile young chicks who are about 30-50 years younger than you.

It is in this context that CM is saying that a middle class girl would not be seen dead with an elderly sex pest. Nothing good could possibly come of it.
I and other ISGers go to PI and other countries for conferences and work, ED, but the underlying motivation is of course what you said.

The majority of the mongers here only see bar girls, they are missing out on how culturally diverse and interesting this country can really be. Yes there are lots of scams but the higher you go on the social economic ladder the fewer there are, eventually you get people who are more concerned that you are the scammer and these people would never think of scamming you.

The mongering sub culture is really pretty small here compared to the numbers of foreigners living normal lives and the number of bar girls, and semi pros is likewise small compared to the number of regular girls out there.

To paint the entire culture with the brush you find on Burgos or Walking Streets is simply wrong.
Agreed KG although CM, the interminable cynic, is probably choking reading this, but I swear I have met several normal and semi-pro girls who would make a delightful long-term partner (if you can put up with the tampo and don't mind sharing your wealth). The Filipinas are better lovers / partners than most women worldwide IMO. Well, Latinas certainly love to fuck, too. But even upper class beautiful Pinays from good families will consider a suitable foreigner. Just look at Miss Universe, the product of an East-West liason. Anyway, KG, GE, RK and others who live in PI, I will be joining you in 2022 maybe even Subic Bay. Another thing to remember is a lot of the girls in this area are from different parts of the country. Many live locally but with so many different cultures in the PH generalization is non existent. The guys that always say, "Filipinas do this" or "Filpinas do that" are so far from reality. The one he was with might have but no 2 are the same. Proceed with caution and make your own selection. This method of hunting only comes with experience not from a book or a web forum. Especially one where people use names like we do LOL.

In all countries, those higher on the socio economic ladder are not in the business of scamming individuals out of a few dollars. Their scams are more elaborate and involve fleecing the State with the cooperation of corrupt politicians. These scams cost the nation billions. The book "The Billion Dollar Whale" by Tom Wright gives a good example.
