As it turns out, it does work. I've been chatting for 2 days now, but without any real contact info as you suggested. Coincidentally, I got my 1st WhatsApp number tonight and the profile pic on WA matches the pics on Badoo. Siti & I have had a multiline chat in WhatsApp, so I assume it is working.

I must admit that this social technology baffles me at times.

I got it working by going into the Android setting and turning off location on Badoo only. Then I was able to type in Jakarta.

Doing that is not a great idea, because then what you are then seeing for Jakarta is simply a database feed, which is not live. You cannot engage anyone that way in a live chat. If you get any "matches" that is possibly the app AI doing its trick on you. If you actually manage to chat with someone and exchange numbers, do let us know. This may be a trick we are all missing!

I have Tinder. And with GOLD you can set your location. So while I am at home in the USA I can set up Tinder dates in advance.

A review of the forum here suggested Badoo as a 2nd option. I set it up and got the Premium account, but I am not able to change the location as in Tinder. I tried everything I could, based on Google searches, but nothing works. All I get is locals here in PA.

Anyone aware of a fix.

Also what are suggested rates to pay Tinder girls? Most are asking 1. 5 to 2 million which I think is too much.

Agreed. Just go into your user profile and do it there. You can pick anywhere to search from but the locations are from a drop down list. If your place is not on the list you can't over type your own. Just pick somewhere close. Eg Kuta (Bali) can not be selected but Denpasar can.

Where does one find a scooter for rent in Jakarta?

I'm riding bikes now for 10 years in SEA (Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand), altogether around 80,000 km.

A motorbike is good if you need to get to a place like Kelapa Gading where the traffic is horrible. I have a motorbike in Jakarta, but I don't use it often. It mainly just sits in the garage and collects dust. I'd love to have a bajaj to drive around in since those seem to impress the ladies. Those bajaj guys get a lot of hot pussy. At least they did in Blok M back in the day. Half of the girls there were dating the bajaj drivers.
