How would anybody 'rip me off'? Why would on Earth I need to give any public feedback to anyone? It's even better if she is younger and without miles of dicks and long list of accomplishments. I am for a date, and not for a service. If I need a service, I visit my car dealership.

I don't give a damn about any escort service or aggregate website. Sorry, Sammyt, but I think the first experienced taxi driver in the city or a local monger will lead me with ease to a bar if it exists. There is no shame in naming it here. 1. Get an apartment, not a hotel. There's no issues with smirking or disapproving receptionists and security. They're also often cheaper and you have more space.

One downside is that they won't have a safe and so you need to find a good hiding place for your wallet phone etc when girls visit. Most of the girls are not thieves but why take the chance? The only other potential downside is if the owner lives in apartment in the same block. This happened to me once with airbnb. The owner lived across the courtyard and could see exactly who was coming and going, so I had to go to the girls' apartments! Shit happens.

2. Get a place in or close to the center V & VI districts. This puts you at center of the transport network, making it easier to use the public transit system if you are going to the girls places. Budapest public transit is usually efficient, safe and cheap.

If the thought of getting on a subway train or tram is just too much for you and you want a taxi, NEVER hail a taxi on the street. The Lonely Planet book has a section on this. If you want a taxi call a reputable company like fotaxi. Hu. They won't rip you off.

3. Use rosszlanyok. Hu and callgirl-list.com to find girls. Read the profiles carefully. On rosszlanyok girls can refuse to accept any reviews and refuse reviews they don't like. If she does this forget her.

Girls who get a lot of good reviews on both sites are usually good providers. (It's not rocket science).

4. When you call a girl discuss exactly what you want and how much it will cost. Go into detail. Ask if the price includes everything you want or do some things cost extra. Don't be shy. This is their job and they've heard it all before. If you are going to her place, ask her to send a SMS (text message) with her address.

Be persistent & be prepared to make A LOT of calls as some girls won't answer straight away (for a variety of reasons they may already be with a customer or with friends and family. I once had a girl pick up and then ask me to call back in an hour because she was in a restaurant with her dad!

I also find it easier to get the girls to pick up a few hours in advance, so for an night appointment call in the afternoon. If you call her at 10 pm she is more likely to already have customer. 5. Acceptable prices are 15000 to 20000 forint (50 to 65 Eur) incall and 20000 to 25000 (65 to 80 Eur) outcall. Outcall girls may ask you to pay for their taxi. Don't pay more.

6. Stay away from street walkers.

8. Don't go to strip clubs. You will be ripped off.

Streets and roads.

Every now and then questions arise about the streetwalker scene in Budapest. As I wrote it myself before, I generally agree with the discouraging posts about it in this forum, even though the overall picture is not so entirely desperate. But if you just come to Budapest for a short trip, and considering the much easier and reliable ways to monger about, why would you bother too much about the streets? Nevertheless, and even though I'm far from being an expert in the field either, but as a more or less local person with years of experience now, here you are some basic info about the scene, which is actually divided into two parts.

The first segment is available in certain areas in the outskirts of Budapest, literally along the roads, and is actually rather far from my taste for various reasons. But for those who are interested, even if only to have a look at it as a spectacle, the three main areas are Szabadkai ut, Kamaraerdei ut and the Szemetegeto area. The first one is the most downscale nowadays (even within the genre), although it was not always like that, actually about 5-6 years ago I found there an unbelievable gem who was at the level of the best incall girls. But that seems impossible now, the area is a blind spot, and I suggest completely avoiding it. The second one is a bit hard to find in the hills of the Buda side, and I really have no information about how it works these days, usually it is known for somewhat better girls and a bit higher prices. However, I've just seen a video and two characteristic photos of the Szemetegeto area (one in summer and one in winter mode), which is easy to find and reach in the outskirts of the 15th district (northeast on the Pest side), so I insert them in case anyone is interested. (And I also add that sometimes even "famous" girls appear there, of course not in their best moments, but for example last year porn girl "Klaudia Hot" was available there (I also link a video about her), and I know that many people found it appealing to fuck her for about 25-40 euros, depending on the session's length, in such a special scene.).

Thanks to DreamK and Roger1286 for the help. Has anyone got experiences in exploring the countryside? Is it worth it? If it is, apart from driving, what'd be the best way to go around the country? Trains? Long- distance buses?

I have had good experiences in Pecs and the Villany wine region is also there. Also check out the areas around Lake Balaton like Siofok, Kecskemet, Szeged, Eger, and Debrecen.

I always drive, but trains can also get you there. Until you are comfortable with getting around Hungary, I recommend you stick with Budapest.

In Rosszlanyok there is British and German flags on top right corner, so click that British flag and that should do the trick.

And like previous poster already said, use Google Chrome browser for Beszamolok it has build in translator. Just go the Beszamolok site and it might offer to translate it for you or if not then right-click your mouse in that page and small menu should open. Choose there "translate to english". Or if you are using Chrome in other language it might offer your own language, but English translation is much much more accurate than any other so everyone should use that if they could!

On the website, you will have an ability to message the girls, some will answer, others will not and prefer a phone call. Make sure your phone's call display is on so the girls can see your number. Be advised, many pictures have been photoshopped or are dated so it is important to read reviews left by others. On rosszlanyok, if the girl states that she does not allow reviews, that is usually not someone you would want to see.

2. Average rates for one hour that typically include basics such as covered BJ and sex at their incall is 15.000-20.000 forint. Some girls will ask up to 25.000-30.000 forint per hour. Very few girls will offer half hours and that is typically 15.000 forint for a half hour. Each girl is different so you need to clarify what is covered in the Basics and what is extra.
