You have to sign the girl (s) in. One time I had a Tinder date who forgot her ID at home and had to Uber home and back for it (they're strict about this). I always book for two guest even though it's just me and have taken two girls at a time up to my room with multiple times without an issue. As for the bar, it's located right next to the elevators on the main floor. It's not that big and (in my experience) doesn't usually have any ladies until around 8 pm. I'm not sure how late it stays open, but I've dropped down once or twice around 2 am to still find one or two ladies still around. It's not as deep of a selection as HDR. I generally use it for the first night I get in (usually around 11 pm) and nights when I don't really feel like going out but could still be persuaded to have company for a hour or two.

Is Hotel Taormina Tica Friendly? My three friends and I are looking for a 4 BR house / apartment / codo to rent the in San Jose, preferably close to HDR, during the last of April. We'd like to have a kitchen to cut down on eating out every meal, plus taking the Chicas back to the apartment without having to pay the additional room guest fee. We haven't had any luck finding anywhere in San Jose City. You have to check-in the girl (s) before taking them upstairs (once had a Tinder girl who forgot her ID and had to go back home and back for it, they're strict on this). I always book my room for two guest (though it's just me), but have brought 2 ladies up at the same time without an issue. The bar is right by the elevators. It's not an all day affair though (or that big). In my experience, girls usually show up around 8 and are usually around til 12/1 am. I think the bar closes around 2/3 and you can sometimes find one or two ladies hanging around til then. I generally find the bar most useful for my first night (I usually get in around 10 pm) or for nights when I don't feel like going out but open to fun if it presents itself.

It's been a long time since the Presidente was monger friendly, I loved it there before I discovered Rio. For many years the Presidente thrived because of the America mongers that visited and the owners keeping it well maintained unlike the Balmoral across the street. Their survival depended on mongers. But as time went by, Costa Rica became ever more popular with the eco-tourists and the Presidente started introducing restrictions. First was in 2005 when they set a limit of one chica at a time, then in 2006 imposed a dress code on the chicas (which got them in the papers when they kicked out a lawyer who visited the restaurant for lunch), and finally in 2007 they banned mongers bringing in any chicas at all.

I returned to San Jose after about 10 years. I was over in SJ over Christmas '19 for a large part of the 2 week holiday. Going to 'casa'/ brothels was super easy. I think I paid around 15 k CRC for 30 minutes simple sex. There were often specials like 2 for 1, 2 for 20 k CRC. There were also cheaper places but 15 k CRC was the right price point for hot and cheap. In CR, I believe the brothel is simply a place where independent escorts come to sell their wares - the brothel has no control over those women. I never felt pushed nor rushed. Thanks for the update. I'll be in SJ March 6-8 at Sportsmen Lodge. Glad to meet up with others. I've been to CR almost each year in the last five and often before that. I've been around and Spanish is good.

Re: Exchanging Money. I've found it handy to use the ScotiaBank ATM at the airport after clearing immigration. The one before customs is affiliated with money changers and rate is not good. I always use Colones. Last year usually paid 30,000 but planning on 35 k this year.

I'll spend a couple of days in Jaco later but the big hassle there is finding a place to go with the girl (my hotel is not chica friendly). Thinking about perhaps renting a cabina for a couple of days. Anyone have experience with that?

First Visit to Costa Rica. It was slow because of Christmas but I had a blast. I Stayed at Del Rey. Thanks to this Forum for the guidance. I would just like to add few more tips (Some for if you Stay at Del Rey).

- Do not change your currency at the Airport. Del Rey has better rate (You can convert at Casinos) plus the Bank is literally in One block which has slightly better rate. I made the mistake changing in Airport.

- Take Uber from Upstairs (departure) . Its cheaper.

- Do not pay for drink in Dollar. They will give you change in colnes. Use colnes everywhere.

- Negotiate Chica in colnes not in Dollar. You will pay more if you pay in Dollar.

- From Morning till 2 pm you can even get a chica for between 25 mil-30 mil. Afternoon, evening Max I paid 35 mil (Roughly $61). They will always ask you $100. Sit with them buy a drink. Talk about them and their family then negotiate..
