Vaci Utca is fine just be rude to any cxxt who walks up to you and hassles you. This street is the main downtown thoroughfare with shops and restaurants.

I like Fat Mos (a speak easy just off Vaci utca) and there are a few excellent places up near the St Iztevan Cathedral (St Stephens) like Negro, Cafe Kor etc.
