Me and my friend are going to be in Costa Rica Thanksgiving weekend. We are very interested in mongering. We have made successful trips to Curaao, Panama, and Colombia.

I was reading that del Rey will change a $11 fee to bring the girl upstairs. I have also read that the Morazan next door doesn't charge to bring girls up. Is it easy enough to pick one up at Del Rey and walk next door? Is it worth the trouble?

Lastly, are there any brothels similar to Campo alegre in Costa Rica? Any options for picking girls up other than Del Rey or the hotel in Jaco, I believe cocal is the name.

Yes, taking girls across the street to Morazan is no problem at all. Many guys do this, especially ones who are staying many weeks at a time since you can save a lot of money that way. Marazan is very basic. If you are staying for just a few days, I would recommend staying at HDR and just eating the stupid $11 fees.

No Campo alegre equivalent in SJO. But there are plenty of small brothels. The other ISG threads will be good reading if you want to learn about these places. I've visited a few of them myself but always found the selection and talent level at those places to always be lacking, at least for my tastes. So, I just stick to HDR, but that's just me.

An easy way to visit a bunch of the small places is to write down the names and addresses of a few of the more popular places and get one of the taxis to take you on a little tour during the early afternoon. You can walk in and quickly check out the line-up at several places in a row before going back to any of those places where you saw someone interesting. In that way, you can cover a lot of ground quickly. Just tell your taxi driver to wait for you five minutes at each place.

I have been reading back from page 100 an now at about page 30. I'm Jarrad an American, but living now in Sosua, infinit-blu, for over three years. I was previously one month in Medellin and one month in San Salvador.

Wanting to move to San Jose soon: Wanting more city life, safety of travel, (roads are very dangerous here), and change in general.

Some question (s). I love mirrors, so important once you have had them, at least a head board and a side mirror. I see none talked about here. Do these MP's and short time hotels have them?

Long-term renting: Surprisingly, I see no classified listing (s) in the papers for unfurnished apartments. Any idea about the availability and cost in those high-rise apartments near the park?

Banking: I guess no good news. Only $1,000 deposit per month permitted, can have two accounts, but still not enough $.

Hi guys, I've read the boards but it still gets a bit overwhelmed due to the sheer number of MPs in San Jose. Could you guys give some recommendations, and I'll make sure to post a report after my trip. Questions:

1. After Zona2 and Monicas's, what do you think are the 3 next best MPs in San Jose-- just in terms of the quality of appearance of the women. (understood it's still hit or miss-- but on average).

2. I've been told that the Pirate Club is one of the best places in San Jose-- with lots of beautiful women-- true? What is the place exactly, MP? Strip Club? When is a good time to go visit?

3. I know most strip clubs in San Jose are clip joints, but sometimes I like them anyways just for a change. What are the 3 best strip clubs not too far away from central San Jose, in terms of hot women, and reasonable prices?

I'm currently in CR staying at the HDR. Arrived today to find a horrible line to get thru immigration. I arrived at the HDR right at about 2 pm CR time. Saw a few cuties on-hand and hardly any guys. Now that I'm checked in and have ran my errands I'm about to freshen up and go grab my first girl of the evening. I'll definitely try to keep what I pay in check. This is my third trip and the 2nd this year (I was too lazy to write about my trip in may LOL).

Thank you for summarizing and rather correctly, I might add. Let me echo your comments a bit as I'm headed to SJO for 5 days and want to be as informed as possible as I don't want to ruin the market for my fellow-mongers. While I have significant Asian experience (Bangkok, Angeles City, Tokyo) on prices, protocol and such, I have zero / nada experience in Central America. If any of you could share what a fair price for a daily "wife-up" would cost in SJO, I'd appreciate it.

Just as I predicted (see quote above), people came out of the woodwork to post about how I am paying too much and screwing up the market (see excerpts below). That's precisely why I recommended viewing my prices as upper limits and not normal negotiated prices.

Unfortunately, the posters below chose to merely criticize and not to add any useful information. It's funny how people have no problem taking the time to criticize but fail to share any useful information whatsoever. How can these people expect other guys to not overpay when they refuse to answer simple questions like the one that Nite_Runner posed?

If there aren't a lot of people sharing price data on long daytime bookings, other guys are of course not going to be able to draw conclusions about reasonable market prices.

So, yes, of course a bunch of us will continue to ruin the market because no one is answering Nite_Runner's questions (and instead simply posting criticisms that do little but waste bandwidth). If you want to fight against people ruining the market, then actually share some useful information on what you think the price ought to be.

I've done my part, sharing my experiences and how much I've been paying. Now it's your turn -- yes, all of you reading this post!

So, I am certain that I am paying on the high end. Essentially, I am paying the normal asking price and usually not negotiating. So, you should view all my prices as upper limits.

$300 short time? Why not just go to (or stay in New York). Anything more than $100 for ST is too much, and that is for the best of the rest.

During the day, I typically pay $200 for 3 hours or $400 for 6 hours of time together, with my max time spent with a girl during the day coming out to around 6 hours. I usually don't tip on top of this price however. All my girls (who I consider top girls) all seem happy with these prices. Actually, there was one young girl who is super hot looking (but not the best service when compared to my other girls) who balked at these prices, so after arguing with her for maybe 10-15 minutes, I finally just told her, "All the other girls accept these prices no problem. Ok, I'm sorry then that we can't spend time together. Bye bye. Have a nice day then. I go read my book now. " It took her all of 2 minutes to capitulate by text msg and accept my original proposal. So, we ended up spending 3 hours together until my next chica was able to arrive later in the evening. When I book for 6 hours lengths during the day, we will usually squeeze in a dinner outing in during that 6 hour period. One time I wanted to visit a few strip clubs since I had never been to any strip clubs in CR, so I took one of my favorite girls with me. Now I know that the strip clubs in CR are mostly lame and boring with poor talent (maybe I visited the wrong ones).

Last time I was there I paid from $60-100 for st. Generally after st if the girl is good keep her LT for $200.

Only one time ever I paid $300 for a real hot Colombian mainly because I was drunk, gambling, winning money. To her credit she stayed with me 2 days and we took some trips. Although agreed price at that time was $300ST. I could not function at that time in the room till next morning because I was too drunk because of free drinks during gambling. I remember her sitting with me during gambling and I did remember her asking for $300. After that do not remember much till in the morning. I probably had more than $1200 lying on the table in the room. It was still there when I woke up sober in the morning with this beautiful girl curled up holding me. Such a honest beauty and gave me total GFE. I did buy her some gifts. If I had more time I would have kept her. Never saw her again in SAN Jose.
