This person would help you 1/10th as much as a good lawyer who can get you out of everything.

You can see everything in one or two days. There's action, but little else.
Granada has more to see. But, not much action. I was told by ex-pat living in Granada they were talking opening a club / brothel.

Posts: 17Speaking of wake up calls. http://www.cnn.com/2012/06/14/world/...ner/index.html. Giving me second thoughts. They don't even have a Canadian embassy in Nicaragua so I'm totally screwed if a crooked cop decides to dump me in jail on BS prices. That being said that guy's mistake was that he lived there like a real resident and owned property. Dumbass thing to do. Never buy real estate in an 3rd world country and make sure you have a foreign income stream. You can't trust the low-life people and government in Latin America.
That being said. Tarheel thanks for the report. Seems like according to WikiTravel that HipaHipa, Moods and Broder all have entrance fees of about $7-15 (150-300 Cordobas). Not bad I guess. I assume HipaHipa is the best place to find a "Gringo Hunter" because it has the most expensive cover / most exclusive?
Also, where can I get tested in Nicaragua and how much should I expect to pay for a test?
I guess I may as well spend a couple of days in Managua if I decide to go to Nicaragua as I'll have to get in to the airport there. Granada just seems very safe because of the high tourist ratio as well as SJDS and Leon. If you were staying for a month in Nicaragua what's the best place to settle in? Ocean is highest on the list, but also considering easy of finding a gringo hunter and monthly rental prices.

My Novia's sister just got robbed on a bus in MGA today. Always a wakeup for me as I get too relaxed in Country.
Took a 70 kilometer ride to the Pacific today from Granada. Water was warm, but ruff.
There is one thing that you may like. Outside of MGA they have hot springs baths, and a suana heated naturally. 40 Cord admission. I forget the name, but there are others also in Nicaragua. I went there twice to cure some congestion I picked up. First time the water was to hot for the bath, but as few days later after a rain the pool was OK.

Posts: 53Managua has a lot to offer specially at night, lots of action, granada is more conservative no strip clubs but lots willing girls on the hunt for gringos and the all mighty greenback. Getting a girl for a whole month might be tough on your first trip but you might want to start checking out some dating sites to set up some contacts ahead of time.

Posts: 17Posted this elsewhere, but probably intending on going straight to Granada as Managua seems like a complete shithole that is unsafe. From Granada plan on going to SJDS. Good to know that I can get mobile internet for 65 a month anywhere. I would probably die without internet LOL. So $65 a month gives me a good feeling of security.
Basically my game plan is to pick up a gold digging gringo hunter Nica, get both of us tested for STDs and then take her with me to a vacation rental for a month by the ocean / beach. Any thoughts on the best way to go about that. Is that a practical strategy?
