I've always wondered why there are so many laundry places in Pattaya.
Like I said, I post a day before and then something in the news the next day. If you look hard enough, you will get a glimpse of Monkeypaw with the captain of "brownies" during the big Treetown raid. LOL."
No way am I posting links to me with Pattaya news in ISG, haha. I hung out with some retirees last night in front of Central where the statue is and they recognized me from so many YouTube videos of Pattaya. I did not know I was in these videos. There showed me in many of the Soi 6, GoGo bars, Treetown, and Walking Street videos. Guess I'm famous in my little own indirect way. The article I posted was more of a reference to the beginning of my last post in quotes. You can probably read between the lines to why places like Walking Street in Pattaya or AC even exist for just 50 baht a kilo and next day service.

2. A given punishment and a given fine for the given definition of prostitution. "Any person who, for the purpose of prostitution, solicits, induces, introduces herself or himself to, follows or importunes a person in a street, public place or any other place in an open and shameless manner or causes nuisance to the public, shall be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand Baht."
I am not a lawyer by any means, but doesn't 1 and 2 make "prostitution not legal in Thailand." Which was all I wrote. I didn't say it was my own perspective of what I personally think what prostitution is or isn't, which some of posters are trying to say, twisting and bending words to their own personal beliefs. Which is hilarious, because it's pretty much a sex monger's words versus the Thai government. I wonder who will win? If there is a written law and correlated punishment in place and writing, I'm pretty sure then it's an illegal act. To make it more simple, so you and others can understand. If there is not a law in writing like "doing jumping jacks in public space," which there isn't, then those jumping jacks in the public are legal and not subject to arrest or fine or imprisonment. So like I said before, if there is a law on prostitution, then it's probably not legal in Thailand. I said, I'm not a lawyer, but I do have a buddy who works at Siam Legal, who told me that the phrases, "any other benefit" and "or any other place in an open and shameless manner" is subjective to the Thai police which will be always right when it comes to a foreigner coming to their country looking for cheap sex with their females.
Also there is a big difference between "AND" versus "OR" if you or anybody is referring to the whole causing a public nuisance thing. I'm not an English major or is it even my first language, but I think this part is obvious.
Plus, from personal experience. Once I grabbed a last minute, standing at the exit door, girl from Insanity in BKK, way back in 2013. She was drunk and wanted to sleep first. I wanted ST which we agreed on for 2500 and for her to leave after. There was a disagreement. I offered her 200 for taxi to go away. She wanted the entire 2500 baht. She raised hell and called the police. Officers showed up at my Paradiso Suites Soi 10 reception. She told them we had sex and I didn't pay. We did not. I was a newbie still when it came to mongering in Thailand and a bit confused. They took us both to the Lumpini police station where a high ranking officer told me in English "prostitution was not legal. " I was fined 1000 baht for a report that had to be made and let go.
And if that's not enough. For you. This is an article 'FOR" the legalization of prostitution in Thailand not with any "hidden moralistic agenda" against. But what do they know? They are just Thai professors and researchers, that's all. Lastly, I also did a quick Google search using the words "prostitution legal in Thailand. " It came up with nothing. Then I did one with "prostitution illegal in Thailand. " Big difference. Thanks for the wild goose chase. I should have stuck with my immediate intuition. Luckily, I had a shit load of time in Pattaya to do nothing but relax because Soi 6, LK Metro, and Walking Street are closed.
https://www.nationthailand.com/news/30353452 "It is an open secret that, despite being illegal, prostitution is widely practised in Thailand. " (first sentence).

But it is very much in keeping with Thai culture to punish her for making a public show or spectacle of it. And to punish anyone else for promoting and benefiting from it as a commercial venture rather than to simply provide for a personal need.
What usually adds to the misunderstanding is when we hear about police sweeps of street girls, fines and even jail time for them. But that isn't for the prostitution. It's for creating a public nuisance about it.
And consider this. In all those sweeps of the girls I don't think they ever arrest the customers chatting them up or even walking out of a nearby short time hotel with one. That certainly isn't because the Thai police are cutting us farang P4P customers some slack and don't want to cause trouble for us. It's only because the act of paying money to a consenting adult for sex breaks no Thai law.

And by now everyone should know that you can find everything on the internet. Did you know that there are even websites that state the world is a globe, while it is plain for all to see the earth is flat as a pancake.
But silliness aside, the websites that state that prostitution is illegal in Thailand either have a hidden (moralistic) agenda, or have no idea what they are talking about. Thai law is clear enough however. Read it for yourself at https://www.ilo.org/dyn/natlex/docs/...3/E96THA01.htm.

I'm not spending $4. 00 on a govt bus to get to Pattaya with nothing going on.
Even the you tubers got nothing to show but pure economic Devastation.
P.S. Govt should charge Dirt Farang twice the amount for the ride to Pattaya. Still a bargain.

Apologies if someone has already posted this. You might, or even might not, be interested in this Sky News report and video about unemployed "sex workers" in Pattaya. The one thing I took away was "No mask, no sex, no oral sex. " (yes, I'm sure that is negotiable). But I won't be going to Pattaya for as long as that is current mantra. Even if the borders were open. I really can't imagine fucking with face masks on, I'm just not into that. Looks like my dick will be staying in quarantine for several months more. LOL.

"But now I know that if I find a gem Ill repeat, just not everyday, maybe twice a week max, if I had a bad session. " I would argue that a single bad session would automatically mean that she is not a gem, or worth repeating. Why would you?

"The real tragedy of the economic situation will emerge when the bars actually open in Pattaya. Everyone will be naturally delighted but the reality will be there will be minimal customers available to keep the bars running. We are already seeing this with the massage parlors trying to attract customers that are no longer in the city. This brutal reality will continue through until tourists return back into the country". It is already too late for many bars. The For Sale signs are everywhere. The rest may try to make it happen with the restrictions in place. But that's like the police giving the foreign owned bars a noose to hang themselves. Thai police love to enable foreigners to break the law.
Tourist traps like the GoGo bars and night clubs need tour groups, weekend warriors, and big spenders. What's left are retirees, pensioners, a few stranded tourists, and of course, Monkeypaw. But even I am not about to to drop 7-10,000 baht a night like I used to. The experience is not the same. However a place to drop with my friend from BKK, Molly, is welcomed. But just in case some of the bars consolidate their staff and girls, try to open up for one last run at taking what's left in our wallets before they kick us out, Monkeypaw has his game plan already written.
1. No repeats. Not even for lady drinks.
2. 2 drinks max for any new girls I barfine.
3. No more than 2500ST.
4. No tip or drinks for the mamasans.
5. No making it rain.
6. No ringing the bell.
7. No ping pongs.
8. I don't care about your birthday and pinning 100 baht to your shirt.
I have my stable of girls already on LINE ranging from 1000-2000. One is a model from What's Up. Guess this is like living the retired life for me. Cheapie Charlie me. I had a feeling that phase 5 was more a reward for the local Thais versus Outsiders.
