When did you go last time to Fortaleza and to which year are you comparing?

I remember when I went in 2009/2010 several people have written same story on several websites but I was impressed from Fortaleza! There were always nice women in Mambo, Cafe del Mar. Or also on Wednesdays in Armarzem. The girls always stayed at barraca boa vida in the praia do futuro (during the day). I do not nead hundreds of women, only some nice looking brazilian ladys.

Anyone going in September or October?

Are you guys all american? During my stay in Fortaleza 60% were italians, some german, swiss, holland or the scandinavion people or brazilian from the south.

Yes and no.

You can get a quickie in centro for R$25. Pick a GP on the beach for R$50 and session with a bar-girl for roughly R$80. However it takes portuguese skills and often some negotiating, otherwise you'll end up paying R$150.

I've been first time in Fortaleza 2009, went back in 2010 and stayed there for 5 months until January 2011, only for vacation. First of all I want to say that I don't know how it was in Fortaleza before 2009 but during my stay I really loved this City, the possibilities, the weather and of course the Brazilian Girls! In 2011 the main points were the same in Praia Iracema (mambo, cafe del mar, Armazem and zipi) and normal prices were always between 100-150 BRL / night. But I never paid over 100 BRL for a night as I actually speak quite good portuguese and if you stay longer than one day with same girl you are able to have her for free (if you're not very very old.) everything depends on your age, if you're not over 30 years old it is a big advantage as most of these girls want to have such young people for the future. =)!

I think about it to return to Fortaleza in September / October this year and would like to know if there are people here who stayed end of 2010 or beginning of 2011 and went back now in 2012. Is the difference huge? I don't know the time before 2009 but between 2009 and end of 2010 it was the PLACE TO BE for me. I really loved the season 2010 in September and October as there are almost NO tourists in Fortaleza and girls are alone, looking for man. It's was always like a fight during this time between these girls=) Anyone intersted in coming as well? I'm alone this year as most of my friends had their vacation already. Would be great, I'm 27 years old from Europe (not italian=). I know all the places in northeast and I really like it.

The best thing I've found from reading here is that Fortalleza is one of the safest cities in Brazil? I was reluctant to visit because of the crimes.

Pardon for the delay but here is my report of a 2 weeks travel in fortaleza in January.

It was the second time in there and I must admit that situation now is not very good, a lot

Of girls were missing and the whole panorama was not so interesting very much has changed in two years,

First night I was in Mambo, I've never been there before, there were a lot of girls but most of them were.

don't think a taxi will work put for you, don't you made any friends over there that have a car. Try to take a brasilian with a car with you who you trust. Taxis are garbage, imagine how much a taxi would quote you if you want to rent hom for 2-3 days. Better offer an friend over there a little trip that ypou will pay his expenses and let him take you. The distance are pretty big, as you know it is a pretty big country.

I agree. I wish I had more time to develop friendships like that. Of course with some luck I can find a way to get there. Friends can be found.
