Here are mine from a Thailand trip I was on. I was in Bangkok (Ratchada area), Phuket (Patong), Huahin, Krabi. Time is still an issue its about 17 hrs with layovers no direct flights from LA. But food hotels and play are inexpensive. I had some short timers (no pics) but these are long time girls 1-3 days. Now granted I used to live there for a few years so I have a little more experience than the guy that flys in and out and is drunk 24/7 and complains they can find cute girls. I have been to the DR and I had a great time there. Great beaches, food, weather, and pretty women.

I am not sure if that is considered too far for you. I have to say that I prefer Colombia and Brazil despite the long travel. As my friend likes to say: long travel is like the price of tuition.

Question to the board about the good ole days in Tijuana. There seems to be a lot of reminiscing on different boards now. Do you think we all thought it was better 20 years ago because it actually was or because we were 20 years younger and it was still new to us and we saw the world from a younger persons eyes. Am I just jaded now and all the places seem kinda routine now. I don't do hard drugs but from what I have heard that first hit of cocaine or meth is what you are always chasing again but it's never as good as that first hit. Maybe we are all getting like that.

I think I first came to Tijuana about 10+ years. And the best time was right about before the Covid. Back in those days all I had to watch out for were the thieving meseros. Damn this story scared me. Hour long wait for peds using sentri? Not sure about that even being posible unless they have closed the border to some incident.

Crossed today ped line with sentri and even though the line was super long going all the way over the bridge. Still only took about 5 minutes using sentri.

There's no hard rules on time at the border. If the guy at the desk for sentries has a shift change anything can happen. New guy can't log on to computer. Maybe someone shows up in sentries line without sentri and using fake identification now he has to go get booked handcuffed walked to the waiting room forms have to be filled out. Sometimes the sentries guy also does the regular line also all it takes is one person with drugs whatever. I go through that border 60 times a year now I seen a lot incidences of drugs, fake, borrowed identification, I would guess before cameras were used, manybpeople snuck into USA everyday with borrowed passports. Now they take the pictures although you can tell them no picture but if you let them get a picture 1st time now they can see if its you or not. But I'm sure many people try copy hair style and even clothes of the passport picture. One time the guy jumped behind the counter at me ready to tackle me for no reason I just look like the typical white San Diego meth head to him. He was passed when he couldn't find drugs on me.

I think the main reason there is nostalgia for the good ole Tijuana days is that it is now overpriced. So many other countries for punting with much cheaper rates and better service. The main reason Tijuana is a big punting locale is its location, if not for that it would be nothing. Living in Cali I go few times a year as I refuse to monger in the states, but if it was more than a 2 hour flight for me to Tijuana, I wouldn't bother.
