Now in response to pier regarding safety; I personally live here in mexico and have been living here for the past 4 years, and can honestly say that it is moderately safe to drive. As long as your car isn't too new (2006 and up) and your cars' windows aren't too tinted, you should be fine driving around matamoros.

Now some info regarding all those phone numbers above. I have not tried dialing these numbers directly from the hotels / motels that I've been too because I have a movistar cell phone and I use that to order my girls. But you can try dialing from the hotel / motel phone but you must add (044) to the cell numbers when dialing from a landline and when dialing from landline to landline leave out the (868).

The price it's a little bit more expensive (300-500 more) , but some agencies if you call Monday-Thursday you can have it at the same price. The Red House it's open Monday-Saturday from 9 am. 9 pm.

·In 10th street are 2 places:

-one is between Zaragoza and Teran street (right side). They usually have from 2-4 girls, one is really cute her name is Joana (8) the other ones are 5-6. The price is 210 pesos for 20 minutes. They don't show the boobs and it's only 1 position. Everything have an extra cost (about 100 pesos each). (15 min)

-The second place it's between Raton and Vicorita (Left side). They only have 1 girl, sometimes they have 2. The girls are fat and ugly. Maybe a 4 or 5. The price is 150 pesos. (20 min)

·In Victoria street are 2 places, one next to each other, they are between 8th and 10th street.

In response to Spisol; During the day 10 and 11th street are safe but honestly not for a gringo walking around. I'm mexican and walk around no problem but I still get weird looks because of my ear gauges. I'm in my early 20's everyone so that's why I have holes in my ears. Just in case you started to wonder. As I was saying, a gringo with little Spanish speaking abilities walking around those streets may be a bit dangerous due to cartel presence on 10th and 11th. Yes I said cartel presence, even during the day you'll see those idiots with their sparkly be-dazzle baseball caps just hanging out with their UHF radios clipped to their belts. It may be weird but I roam these streets usually around 5 or 6 pm on weekdays because of minor cartel presence and also because you don't get rushed just like Coyote79 once mentioned / experienced. Also, it's more convenient driving around those streets cause your a bit more safer and you get to check out the scene first and then ask for prices. Personally I've been around these streets for a while now and have gotten steady quotes of 150-250 pesos from ladies on these streets. With the exception of red house which thinks their girls are the best for some reason. Red house is going for 400pesos and most of the days the girls are like 7 or 6's. Hopefully I answered some questions. So to sum it up.

Spisol: yes red house is open during the day from like 11am to 12am except Sundays. Moderately safe for a gringo DRIVING. Walking not so safe. Also the girls will get smart when they see gringos and try to overprice, especially if you don't speak Spanish well.

Pvl109: no specific recommendations for girls on these streets because we all have different tastes but I will say this. DO NOT monger these streets after dark.

If I took a Greyhound from SATX to Brownsville I would get to Bville at 2:30am, and it's within walking distance to the Puente Bridge nearest to International Blvd by UT Southmost College. Looking at Google Streetview it looks like there's Taxis perched, at least I hope there are at that hour.

My question is are there any decent cut rates hotels to stay the night close to the bridge and if so do you remember the crossing streets? I don't mind walking from the bridge to the Hwy 83 area where the car lot is.

I'm not in need of escorts or mongering. That's what Reynosa the following night is for.
