I read where somebody said 32 USD isn't nothing to most people. Maybe it isn't, but that is the kind of dumb ass off island thinking that's truly fucked up. You see it's not what it's worth to you. It's what it's worth on the island. Money has both a relative and absolute value.

On my first trip to Boca Chica I got a hot one. Call her "dark booty". Dark booty told me she had just hit the island. I found the story strange because she had cedular. But I'm wasn't going to let insignificant details get in the way of potential ball drainage. We had good chemistry so we rolled out of the place and hopped onto a moto. At the hotel the I gave him 50 pesos and he started to make a scene about how I was his american brother and I should help him out. He wanted another 50 pesos. To avoid any delay and a further drama I gave it to him. My priority was getting into the hotel and getting naked with dark booty.

Fast forward and I wrote about the incident. Grownman read it and put me in check. He made the point that it wasn't the 50 pesos it was the principle of the matter. And he was right! That was a 100% markup. Something the average person would not have agreed to if the absolute value had a been a larger amount. His point was not about the 50 pesos, but that I was doing a disservice for every westerner that comes after me. In tern they may get challenged for a fee that was standard.

I appreciated Grownman pointing that out to me. And served as an example of useful information that's not wrapped up in repeating personal preferences. A lot of sniping goes on in the DR forum. Not sure what that's about but I don't find it useful. What is useful is when there is hard factual information being exchanged to help others. So, thank you Grownman. It has never happened again!

One more example just to drive home my point. I was at my favorite chicken place on Venezuela. Not going to give details because someone will just get on here and say it not that good. And that would take away from the point of my story. I made my order and the guy told me 240 pesos. Now I looked up on to the price list and it said my order should cost 200 pesos. Is 40 pesos that much to me? As I learned from Grownman that wasn't the point. My number #1 took 200 pesos out of my hand and handed it to him. He raised his eyebrows as if to say: "I didn't know you were with him". Understandable as at the time (and still is) a hot mamacita 30 years my junior and we were not in a western tourist area. I don't usually do those anyway, with the major exception of Punta Cana. Which just happens to be my favorite place on the island.

Sometimes it has nothing to do with being a expat or sexual tourist. It has to do with the principle of the matter. And not acting like you are a one week millionaire making it rain everywhere you go.

Expats don't need to be cheap. They are on the local economy because they can be. They are not "one week millionaires" like the "hombres de vacaciones" as the expression goes. Expats are not like the sexual tourists who's countdown timers start when they have wheels down. Sexual tourists are operating in a completely different environment that the people. They are not like those who live here. Now you might not like me saying it, but you can't deny it. Sexual tourists talking about what expats do or don't do is like listening to the late Howard Cosell. They never played the sport. LOL!

Talking about what you would never do is pointless in my opinion. It does not further the concept of sharing information about girls. It's really about personal preference. If it's not you personal preference post some real actionable information that will get people laid. Like I do. But it's comforting to know I can unplug and come back to the same cast of characters talking about the same things. But now that I know the cast of characters I can look for those who consistently post useful information.

After getting my mouth all ready for it, I arrived to find it closed and getting torn down.

Somebody is putting some money into Boca Chica. I was also heading to my old fish shack to find it gone and a brand new building in its place. I pulled up to a shack that was still there and ordered from that guy. When I returned to pick it up, there was my lady outside saying that they now had a new building and were inside at stall number 12.

The Greek spot is right around the corner from your favorite place to eat. He opens up around five or six. 250 pesos per piña colada wasn't bad with tax. My doctor chick came down from San Francisco de Macoris and we went to Juan Dolio yesterday at 3. While we were there I booked an airbnb in Boca Chica at Apartahotel Azzurra, one block from the strip. It was $38. A mosquito that had the room before us was on my ass all night though.

Juan Dolio is still a big ripoff. Bring all your own shit when you go to the beach there and just rent the table and chairs for 400 pesos. We had 2 pina coladas plus the table and chairs and that shit was 1300 pesos. Juan Dolio is a clean beach (to the naked eye) and have all the waves and shit you expect from a beach.

We arrived in Boca Chica like 5:45 and checked in and went straight down to the beach in front of Isla Bonita bar. Ordered 2 large pina coladas. We relaxed out in the water which is more like a swimming pool due to the breakers. I walked back to shore to get the drinks when they were ready and walked back out to enjoy with my girl. We finished that and did another round. It was about 7:30 when we decided to get out. The bill was 1100 pesos.

Just when I was waiting for my bill guess who walks up. MF Charlie. Talking about he just got out of the hospital and telling me not to drink the liquor in DR. I told him that my girl is a doctor so I will be alright. Of course he started begging for money. I told him to ask my girl. The owner of La Isla came out and jumped in his shit. He asked me if he was bothering me. I told him that he is alright; I have known him a few years. He followed us all the way back to the hotel asking to wash the car and carry our bags and whatever else. He didn't leave us alone until we closed the gate. I tell you them mfs are like gremlins around there. Later on when we finished eating at Suiza I saw the light skin dude as we were walking back and was so fucking happy that he did not see me!

Only saw the usual Boca Chica hookers out and about. Nothing to write home about. One set of guys had a couple of chicks at their table that were probably the best ones on the strip. I was thinking where do they go from there? Ain't much of shit to choose from the rest of the days they will be there. Or maybe they saved the best for last.

Never understood why gringos favor Isla Bonita and the Boat House over La Terraza. There the price you see in the menu is what you pay. No extra charges of any kind. Food is decent and bathrooms are spotless. Granted Pino and the other two owners are cheap assholes and the place may have too many Italians but they are not loud and friendly enough in contrast to the gruesome sob German bastard that rules Isla Bonita.
