Can anyone with experience advise if it's worth it?
It looks great, but is it teeming with catfish?

I would say, it is useless. Anytime anywhere you move around in the country you have possibility to approach and to be approached by girls and ladies.

To contact a girl previously might put you in troubles exposing you at the risk of meeting ugly girls, scammers, traps.
Girls online have great expectations from you and have all the time to request expansive gifts, money transfers, purchases on Amazon in advance, cure and treatments for mummy, daddy and children.

If you know a girl directly on the go in Ghana (bar, beach, street, bus, mall, market) everything remains at a lower financial level and you see what you..."buy".
Try WeChat instead, when you are there of course, because the range is 20 km, it gives excellent results to find and to be found.

First of all, excuse me sir for the delay in answering.

As all the West African countries, the visa issuance is subject to yellow fever vaccination that is mandatory. It is the only health care prescription. I don't feel me to recommend you other vaccination but be hepatitis because many girls use now contraceptives such as under-skin devices or candles or don't care at all.

After the yellow fever vaccination, wait 10 days before applying for the visa. You will receive from the hospital or clinic the yellow booklet of international med care and don't leave it in your luggage but take it with you, anytime you pass an international check-point.

If you don't drink tap water, don't eat uncooked food, don't eat cakes and milk products, wash properly and frequently your hands, I don't see big risks of infections. Don't bath in the sea (but it is now forbidden almost everywhere).

Use mosquito repellents after sunset and keep your fan on during the night.

About Visa references everything depends on the mood of the chief at the consulate where you are going to apply.

Personally I have experiences about he consulate in Italy where I have applied several times. I simply write an address and a phone of a person that I knew several years ago. I add some hotel reservations via internet such as Bookings or similar where they allow the user to pay at the arrival.

That's all.

I don't know how it will be in the post-CoViD 19 phase.

IMO Osu is an illusion: many Accra neighbourhoods offer good opportunities of finding a soul mate.

As several times reported, see post #4015, I limit my attendance of Osu to two or three places such as Calabash (not really Osu but Ring Road near Danquah Circle beside Glory filling station), the various little bars opposite (in the area of the formal Wikiki), Lizzy's (a canopy bar at the junction Mission / Oxford Street), avoiding the for whites bars or european styled fast food and casinos such as Koala, Papaye, KFC.

A valid alternative is Lapaz, a peripheral terminal where people from the outskirts land to spend the night without reaching other remote communities. (5. 605536, -0. 251850).

Circle (alias of Kwame Nkrumah Interchange) is still valid but pullulates of hardcore pros, try small bars around.

Do not forget the sea front: Akuma Village, Salenko and Osikan are good bars along Atta Mills Highstreet.

Other beach bars you will find in Sakumono (a locality near Tema, easy to be reached by tro tro): Titanic, Shatta and Bamboo for instance (5. 6110461,-0. 046891).

As you see the choice is wide, keep us posted.

Everywhere. Hotels are girlfriendly and you might only have to pay for that person's breakfast. That simple.

Locals use basically Jumia Travel (google it) to find hotels. Wakanow (a Nigerian online travel agency also in Ghana) basically uses the booking.com with a front end app.

Now. There is something called "movie house" - there are plenty of them, almost all of the open 24 x7 and you can find them easily on google maps. They are basically a room with at least a bed and shower and a TV set showing porn and the price is standard at 40 cedis for 2 hrs. No ID is required. Some of them might have fancier room and go up to 70 cedis per hour.

By the way, there is one about 10 cedis (=2 US $) with Bolt or Uber and 10 min ride from Accra Mall. Works for me.

Been almost a local now. I prefer Lapaz, attitudewise but also pricewise On a late weekend, around 1 am, you can easily find 100 + street hookers in Lapaz. Almost all of them between Abrantie (this is a well known bar all over Accra) Cthis is where the bridge that you are talking about it) and Kum Hotel. Both spots are on Google Maps. Kum is about 80-100 cedis per night as of now.

Lapaz has hookers who need to fuck because they need to feed themselves, a child or their family.

Osu has hookers who need to fuck so they can immediately go and buy an iPhone.

So Lapaz is cheaper. Bigger selection of night walkers too.

Circle. I will not walk there alone at night. Definitely not with lots of cash and my passport of any valuables.

P.S: All that said. It is so easy to find a local and have sex. Sure you 'pay by buying food or cloths or their uber back home etc.

One of the few venues where I feel me comfortable in Osu, is the Lizzy's Ent, junction Mission Rd. Oxford St. At the moment the sign has been removed but it easy to be discovered because it is a canopy.

I can not forget this pretty Nigerian girl spending her holidays in Accra. I have met her at Lizzy's and dated at my place for the morning after. Industrious holidays for her because she charged 150 Ghs but very worth: oral given and received, abundant drain, wonderful 23 year old body. I have met her three times.

I have been to Mombasa & The Gambia over a dozen times between them so consider myself an experienced hunter. However, my last trip to The Gambia in December was hard. Thomas Cook going bust meant only half the normal number of tourists were there but the same amount of bumsters. You could not walk 30 metres without being hassled even though I know a lot of them & they know usually leave me alone. On the plus side there were lots of girls to choose from but they were also fighting like cats for attention. I would like to try Ghana (Accra?) as it ticks the short journey time & the posts make it sound similar but it has been some time since I tried a new African Country. Accra is not only Osu and Circle.

Years after years I am always more and more satisfied of Lapaz and its bars and clubs. Go there taking a trotro from Kaneshie and get off last stop. Any bar offers occasions but the best you will find climbing a pedestrian overpass to reach the opposite side of the express road.

In Osu I prefer simple spots as the canopy at the junction Oxfrod st. Mission Rd. Or the numerous spots along Ring Road from Danquah Circle.

In the night just close to Danquah Circle close to the Glory filling station you will see a sort of hut working as bar where you can sit indoor or outdoor. The name is Calabash. Have your drink and wait. You will not wait too long. A partially built house nearby gives you the possibility to conclude the affair directly there. Another bar nearby.

Do not waste time, walk in the daytime, waiting at the traffic light or along the streets smile and greet all the girls you meet or answer their greetings. Exchange contacts and call them.

An interesting night scenario is in two streets for more professional encounters: Paradise St. Down Niagara Hotel near Adabraka and the nearby Vanderpuje St. Near Vienna City. In Paradise St. The Shield Hotel offers hourly service, in Vanderpuje St. Go to Cumberland Hotel.

WeChat is very used by any kind of girls, ashawo, professional GF, students, Nigerians, regular..
