Now here's a thing that is fairly common in South American countries. Unless you get an absolute be*ard, the "trying to get more money out of a gringo" is seen as a game. Never lose your temper. Just treat it as a game to win, as if someone has told you a joke, a wind-up, and you enjoy their effort. This particularly applies to taxi drivers. Many taxi drivers are very honest, some are in-between, and some downright devious. As you probably will use taxis before learning the trolle system, know how to handle taxi drivers. First off, know how to give directions to your hotel and the place you want to get to. If they don; t know (or pretend not to know), give them a landmark and be assertive with lefts and rights (as if they have "forgotten" and you need to sort out them out firmly and politely). If they keep pontificating, just choose somewhere near that even an idiot would know and give him left and right until he stops messing about. Being able to tell a taxi driver where to damn well go (politely and firmly) are probably the first words and phrases I learn in any new language or country.

I saved the file (kmz) then imported it into a personal Google MyMaps. Then it is easy to add or amend information, check walking / driving distances and so on. Most of all, I can see at a glance which places are reasonably close to where I stay.
Great work, hats off to all concerned.

Yesterday I visited Guajiara, I know this place since many years but each time less interesting: many (may be all) Colombians why Cubans with a very "comercial" way of working, but, of course, its very personal, and if course there are exceptions but I prefer the Ecuadorian girls. Because more clients have this opinion some Colombian girls say they are from " la costa" but their accent will be quite different.
The last weeks I prefer 122 and Swincito, Guaijara and LGC I found rather boring. Be aware that many girls in the cheap chongos at night are working in the night- clubs. The same girls but for twice or 3 x the price.
