Maybe you're like me and you like to hit up El Matehuala jaja! I remember El Infinito back in the days was legendary! Well this was a shitty weekend to come down here. Unbelievable they close even oxxo and seven on Sundays. About starved to death and had to boil drinking water!

V. Day is obviously not my favorite day of the year, but it can be fun. MTY should be alive today, people getting ready to meet there special person. I know most guys take the bus or drive to Monterrey, but the flights on Viva versus American and United are pretty cheap. I paid $150 one way from Houston and $180 to get back, and this would have been cheaper but I bought both tickets last minute.

So of course, now thanks to Biden trying to show he cares more about Covid than Trump, we have to get Covid tested prior to going back to the USA. In the past, I avoided this by going on the bus and driving back. It really was not the money but the time as I did not want to spend all day in a fucking lab. Also I thought the cost of the bus ticket, $50, would be cheaper than the lab.

I read though that pharmacies were doing Covid screening. I asked around and the Farmacia Benavides at the corner of Padre Mier and Pino Suarez does Covid testing. They have a doctor on staff to write prescriptions and also to do the Covid test. I showed up too late and was told to come back at 10 AM. I got there at 10:30 AM, paid 350 pesos or about $18 and was in and out of that office with a negative test in 15 minutes.

So anyone looking to go to MTY (and anyone who does not is out of their fucking mind) and is pressed for time should consider air travel. You do not need a Covid test to get into Mexico.

I met Dramafree in person at Sonora Grill, and we had a great time, and he is a great guy. I am going to post about that night on the seeking forum, and that night for me sex wise was one for the ages. To DF, there is no doubt we are living the life. With regards to last night, I am reminded of the beer commercial slogan, "It just does not get any better than this." I wish everyone could have a night like I had last night.

What do you all think if I just keep skipping that part and head straight to mty? My plan if they hassle me is to say they told me I don't need one since I'm only staying 3 days. I made the trip about 2 weeks ago. I walked over the bridge and took a taxi ($50 mxn) to the other bridge. I paid him $50 mxn to wait and another $50 mxn for the trip to the bus station. Probably could have been $100 total if I had negotiated it all up front and not the ad hoc way it turned out. FMM cost was free as I was staying under 7 days. When you get to the building go in and there are 3 sections for the FFM and registering your car. If you are busing into Mexico you only need to go to line #1. Walk in and go left.

About 5 years ago I bused to MTY without getting one. Bus was pulled over at check point and being obviously a gringo, was asked for it. They pulled me off the bus and into an office. Made to put my passport in a drawer in his desk. I was lectured about my crime and then told to pay about $35 usd (I don't remember the MXN amount for that time). I was told to place it in the desk drawer. I did, grabbed my passport, said gracias. Got back on the bus to the disapproving looks of the passengers I held up for 15 minutes. And more than a few laughs. They all knew what had happened.

That makes total sense. When you are driving they will not let you pass. I have attempted to give them bribes only ones did they accepted. Now my paperwork is good, so no need. I do not know how to describe how to get there but it is within walking distance.

You are correct about the girls in MTY, simply amazing. If you are driving you will be turned back 95%of the time, trust me I have learned the hard way.

As I mentioned they are checking buses now, but not sure if the form is required. It takes, 20-30 minutes tops to get the form. To get your permit for your car takes much longer. I am arriving in town late Thursday.
