I really don't like the Sportsmans Lodge

In my opinion the SL is not a good place to stay. Why?

    1) very few girls in comparison to the del rey / key largo scene.

    2) most rooms at the SL are noisy (but then I guess they are at the DR too).

    3) SL is mostly older guys. In their 60's, which is okay but I like more of a mixed crowd.

    4) SL hand picks the girls which to me is too limiting; I like the variety and mass quantity of the Del Rey.

    5) SL is too much like a sports bar (thus the name I guess).

    6) SL is a place you can't walk to and from like the Del Rey is and the taxi drivers overcharge especially at night.

Does anyone actually believe the Delrey is actually shutting down by year's end? What will become of Key Largo?

We are all entitled to our opinions. San Jose is not as bad as some of you may think. I've been to Costa Rica nearly 20 times. I live in Florida and the flight on spirit airlines is dirt cheap. The HDR is legendary. It will never be a family hotel in my view. It will always be known as the pink pussy palace. I've had incredible experiences in HDR with some of the most beautiful ticas on the planet!

Have met countless monger's who I'm still close with til this very day at HDR. I personally know the entire staff and have always been treated good. The one complaint I have is the charging to take a chica up to your room. Absolutely ridiculous.

Costa Rica is a beautiful country with beautiful people. The Ticas are some of the best in bed that I've ever experienced.

There have been rumors for years that the HDR was for sale, but I can't for the life of me see how this becomes a "family" destination. I've always thought it would be great if they put a pool in for both the Gringos and the "ladies". To that end, they could tear down the Key Largo and put a pool in there, ha ha. I don't doubt though, that the revenue at the HDR has been going down year after year (much like the quality of girls). But, I plan to ride the HDR to the very end.

I first heard this rumor around a couple of months ago but its gaining steam. Initially the plan was to make this conversion after their next annual super bowl party in 2018 but now this has supposedly changed. Quite a few girls who work there have told me that the change will now be effective after Halloween this year. Not sure if others can chime in or have heard anything related to this. The girls say that after these supposed changes take effect then only the Key Largo across the street will allow the girls to work their stuff. Dunno.

I am glad you got helped. The staff at the Lodge go out of their way to help the guests. The setup is good at the Lodge. Hit the front or back bar when you want, play pool, watch games and the bar daily special food is very delicious and also cheap. Talk to girls and most are not pushy for lady drinks. It's up to you. Once you have agreed your deeds for a price, take the girl (s) to your room and take your alcohol with you. Return afterwards to the bar and do what ever you. The rooms are cleaned daily. There is also a some weights and weight machines plus cardio bicycles if you feel like exercising. Walk to the downtown is short. Taxi from airport is $30.00 and back to airport is $25.00. Free hot breakfast from 8. 00 AM and otherwise breads / fruits only from 5. 00 AM. The City Bus tour is $70.00. Worth it as I saw a lot and learnt a lot about Costa Rica and San Jose. Includes lunch. Hotel has other tours too.
When I sent to Dominical after 4 days, the Lodge let me keep my suitcase in their storage for no charge as I was coming back after visiting Dominical.
    Enjoy your stay.

Part 1 of 3-part Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia month long trip

Costa Rica visit from 8/7 through 8/16 in San Jose with 4 days in Dominical +.

Outbound: Aviancia flight from SFO, San Francisco to SJO, Costa Rica left on time at 1. 30 am. Flight first to El Salvador and then a connecting flight to SJO. Strangest thing I saw on the flight to El Salvador. The plane was full of older people. They seemed weathered and old. It must be about 90% of the passengers. I have never seen a plane so full of older people. Majority of the passengers seem to be from El Salvador and they disembarked in El Salvador. The five-hour flight arrives on time and by the time, I got to gate in El Salvador for the connecting flight; all passengers were on board except me. It was a short connection time. I was praying my luggage was transferred. The flight left on time and arrived in SJO on time. What a cattle market the SJO Costa Rica airport is. Lines and lines of people waiting to get through immigration. After a long wait, went to the baggage area. Surprise, luggage was waiting for me. Transportation man from Sportsman lodge was there to take me to the hotel. USD $30.00 charge. Arrived early in the day and room was not ready. Went to bank and a walk around and ate some food. Returned and room was ready when I got back. As the flight was overnight red eye flight, I decided to take a nap.

Hotel Sportsman Lodge: Good enough. Bar food was very tasty and cheap. Stayed 6 days 4+2.

I think the bar area is old and tired looking and could do with a revamp. The hotel does NOT charge a Tica fee. The Reception folks are helpful. The rooms are also decent and good price. In addition, the Hotel has a decent FREE breakfast.

Most of the time, I found the barmaids to be decent looking and better than most of the WG's. I liked Lily from the Reception area. I am sure that if one spent some time with barmaids and front desk talking, they will not refuse some extra money. I talked a lot with Lily but could not get her to some place private and make a proposition.

Ticas: Report on Ticas will not be for each one separate posts but a combined single post. The Ticas ask in USD dollar.

The girls start coming to the bar from about 10.00 AM. Not many but some. Around 5. 00 PM, happy hour, quite a few around.

I found that the majority of the working women were average looking. I saw a granny too, way past due. Over the six days, I saw about maybe half dozen 8-9's. Now the bad part. Even the 3-4's were asking $100.00. I honestly could not have sex with some of these scarecrows. There were some 7's who were doable. I do not mind paying $100.00 but the girl has to be 9 -10. The Ticas ask a lot more for anal and some just do not do it. The top ones were always taken over by the gringos who spend their whole day at the bar whenever I got to the bar in the evenings. I am not a big drinker and visited the bar area only for breakfast and later in the evening. Two days later, I did have this almost 9 sitting close to me and started talking to her. She said that she had seen me last few days and I had seen her with an older man who bought everything for her too. She was quite pleasant and pretty. She mentioned $130.00. I thought that was high. Propositioned $100.00. I asked for a smoking discount, as I could smell cigarette smell from her breath. She would not come down. I can understand that. Last couple of days I had seen her with an older gringo drinking bubbly and I bet he paid her whatever she asked. I am sure she will find a sucker who will pay whatever she asks.

The Ticas make a beeline for the oldest looking gringos. Not the youngest or good looking. They can get better money from older men and spend a lot less time for it.

Overall, you can pay lesser than Cien. Just talk to the girls, be jovial and funny and they start liking you.

I paid $80.00 to one girl for full service including anal and two pops. This was during the day after breakfast. While we were doing anal for some minutes, I split her ass and she was bleeding. She said it was too thick and big. This has happened to me before and not much, I can do about it. Maybe screw some hardcore anal girl with a well-used hole. Decided not to hurt her and stopped anal. She said I can CIM (Come in the Mouth) after the virginal sex without even asking. I fucked her different positions and she gave a BBBJ. When I came, off came the condom and she started giving BJ and got a mouthful of milky stuff. After swallowing, we hugged and kisses and then later she gave a BBBJ with me coming again but less leche.

In the evening, I would go to the bar, have a drink and then go to the back bar and have dinner. After dinner, I would come back to the front bar, have a drink, and talk to Ticas. Ticas ask minimum $100.00 without anal and some ask even more. I decided to play the game and see if I could pay less. Just talked to Ticas and getting to know them. Later discussed and just stated prices are a lot lesser in some countries I just visited. Stated I liked her and would like to have to have sex but at a reasonable rate. After some long discussions, I was able to come down to usd $70.00 for an hour and two pops, including BBBJ and no anal.

All other girls I paid $70.00 for two pops and CIM (Come In the Mouth) without even asking. Is CIM (Come In the Mouth) standard with chicks in Costa Rican? What is the case with other punters? Do the Ticas ask extra for it? The girls not only CIM but also swallowed the cum without any problem. I had BBBJ with all the girls and Covered Vaginal sex. The girls were very friendly like in GF and a lot of fore play. They enjoyed the fore play a lot and some mentioned that Latin men is just boom boom. The girls allowed any position I desired without question. I fucked them in the mouth and they opened their mouths without hesitation. I ask them to go down on me and they would get up and start sucking the cock with such desire until I ask them to stop as they brought me to boiling points many times and I wanted to fuck them also than just come in their mouth. Blowjobs were all BBBJ, enjoyed 69 and the girls licking my balls and anal rim. The women loved having their pussy licked and pushed my mouth hard into it. They were all into having their own orgasms, be riding on the top, missionary, doggy or tit fucking. There was no clock watching. You get your full hours' worth. In addition, the girls are from different countries. I wanted to try, as many different nationalities women as I could find but majority were Ticas. One girl told me that she had sex with a Chinese man and his penis was as small as her little finger. I noticed that the girls did rounds of other bars and spent a lot of their time on their phones while at the bar. They do too use the phone numbers also from prior customers.

I must say, these working girls must be some highest paid people in Costa Rica. One girl showed me pictures of her on vacation in one of the Central American Caribbean country. Life must be good being a working girl charging minimum $100.00 per trick.

I did not go to HDR and cannot say anything about the women in that place. I was getting candy at Sportsman's bar and did not need to go elsewhere.

Overall, in my opinion, Costa Rica was OK but nothing to write home. The Ticas will continue to get business, as there is a constant supply of gringos coming to Costa Rica for sex.

    Gringos:

Majority of the gringos in the bar seemed similar. They seemed thickset and out of shape. Heavy drinkers even starting drinking earlier in the day. I saw one go through two bottles of whiskey in the evening by himself. Another older man was having the time of his life with two Ticas buying them everything and himself drinking heavily. He could not even stand straight. Eventually, the two babes held him upright and dragged him to his room to separate him from his money. Wonder how many hundreds of dollars partied? However, it is his life and he was living it. Can't take the money with you? Maybe I will be doing the same when I can no longer have a woody.

I saw one gringo heavily spending on three girls and after a while, they departed to his room. It did not take more than 15 minutes for them all to return and restart the drinking and playing pool. Another minimum $300.00 for a 15-minute act.

The girls got their act all worked up. Ignore the young and good looking and make the money off the older men more quickly.

Every Day Cost Rican Women (not Pros):

Visited SJO downtown many times. What I noticed that majority of the women were pretty fat and out of shape. Occasionally saw a decent looking one. In my opinion, I think that majority of the Costa Rican women are fat, average looking and a small percentage decent looking. While I was in Panama in the Second part of my trip, I ran into a retired gringo from Costa Rica. He said that 10 years ago, Costa Rica Ticas where slim with nice bodies, then American fast food and coke came to Costa Rica, and the women got fat.

    Domical:

Visited this place as a possible retirement destination. Stayed 4 days. It poured like hell every day.

One day, I decided to walk to restaurants and then go to a bar for some music. Rain had stopped when I went. Therefore, it was the shirt and shorts and off I went. Good Thai food and while eating, the rain returned. After dinner, I had to cancel trip to the bar / music as rain was not relenting and it was pitch dark. The roads are not paved and big puddles on and off the roads. Without light, you can fall into these big puddles and a good chance hurt yourself. I had no light nor umbrella. On top of that, the streets are not well light. Guess what, I fell a few times off the road into the deep puddles and luckily did not break anything. At one time, I even banged into a tree so hard that my glasses fell off. Imagine me looking for my glasses in pitch dark. I was not sure if they were in one piece or broken. I looked and looked, scraping the mud and as I turned around after some minutes, I found them behind me. There was mud on one lens and the lens had dislodged a little but not broken. Decided to head back to the nearest bar and the bar tender sent a guy with a light to assist me to the hotel it was only a couple of minutes away but without a light, a major problem. From then on, I wore a rain jacket and an umbrella plus my phone with flashlight apps all the time. What a night.

Beaches: I went to the beach and found that it was a pebbles beach. Big pebbles and definitely not a sunbathing beach. It is for surfers and I did find quite a few white folks around this very small town, heavily out numbering the few locals.

Dominical has sand underneath the pebbles and could be a sunbathing beach if the city clears the pebbles. Not an easy task. An improvement on the street lighting should help and fill out the large puddles on the roads. Cannot see it happening. Also, found that eating out was more expensive than SJO.

As you go further south of this 3-4 street city to Uvita and Ojochal, it becomes more gringo and no locals to be seen.

All this talk there about eco this and that is all BS. It's all talk, as you need to rent a car to get anywhere, as transportation is very expensive. Therefore, with all those rental cars using gasoline and gas fumes is not much eco. In many places, you need a 4 x4 SUV, as roads are not paved. Costa Rica is a big fraud. I found eating out to the normal run if the mill restaurants was more costly than in California. Let us not even talk about the more expensive restaurants. A total fraud. Do not understand why it is so expensive. The gringo's effect? It is more like the gringos buying property and then fleecing gringo visitors.

I am looking for a sunbathing destination and less touristy. Hence, Costa Rica is not the place.

    Communication:

In Costa Rica, I did not buy a local sim card. In addition, my USA carrier H2 O does not work here. I found that the Ticas use WhatsApp. In addition, I can look up and send emails by using just Wi-Fi. I can call or text both via WhatsApp. However, this is limited to WhatsApp recipients only. Point I am making is that, in countries where people use WhatsApp or WeChat, the need to buy local sim card does not exist. WhatsApp does not need a sim card once you have verified a number on some phone.

So far, I have been using WhatsApp for all communication.

    Overall opinion on Costa Rica:

There will always be gringos from places in USA making the short trip to Costa Rica to full fill their sexual needs as $100.00 is not too bad compared to what they'll have to pay back home. Personally, I found Costa Rica to be a very expensive and over rated country. It is the most taxed and expensive Central American country. Many gringos everywhere. Maybe that created the price explosion. Nature wise, nothing that is not present in many other countries. Nothing exceptional. Ticas mostly fat and out of shape with a few decent looking. As for me, I have seen a lot better countries both nature wise and women. Moreover, women are better looking and prices are much lesser elsewhere. SJO is an average looking city. Went on city tour to learn about the city.

Costa Rica would not be a country to make a second visit for me. I did not find it exciting at all. This is my opinion and not a recommendation. Gracias. Keep hunting.
