Hotel Granada - Good choice and girl friendly

    Johnnydh,

Was in PC about a month ago. Stayed at the Hotel Granada (http://www.hotelesriande.com/granada/index.asp). Not a bad place at all. Couple blocks from Via Espana and Veneto. Easy walk, take taxi at night for about $3.

Found it relatively girl friendly. Couple times was able to get gal right by the desk and up to room without any question. Just looked comfortable together and like a couple and no one made a fuss. Did have a lady visit from Oasis late one nite and I had to come down to the front desk. Partially filled out a new registration card and charged $11 for additional person but nothing else.

BTW, had fantastic experience with Oasis outcall. Called up and had a gal at the hotel in about 15 minutes. Beautiful blonde Columbiana, "Melissa". Spoke decent english. $80 for an hour, FullService, very nice time.

meat loaf is not panameno. before 3 weeks ago meat loaf knew nothing of cd. panama besides the noriega and the canal. meat loaf is a good 'ol yankee.

i'm more adventurous than some may choose to be 'cause i'm only 32 and athletic. i don't really dress fancy. but i portray lots of confidence and talk lots of shit. hence, nobody every challenges me. if i were confronted i'd be more than eager to defend myself since i chose to be here and wasn't forced (ie. born) to reside here.

i disagree with the "white" statement. everyone knows that the "white man" can go and does go to whatever country or city he wants to. hell, the entire international justice system exists for the "white" guys protection and benefit. criminals know the jail time is more for assaulting a "white" tourist, so if you don't look like it would be a good robbery, they're not going to even bother. everyone educated knows all the theft happens in the corporate office and boardroom. (ie. panama being the 5th largest banking center in the world.)

if a "white" guy or any guy is walking around looking goofy then he'll be prey in any usa city. america latina is no worse. hell, it's more dangerous to live in the usa than most of these countries with the race factor included.

aside: local populace like it when a "white" guy is cool and not some "rent-a-preppy" 'cause that's nothing more than some pirated clothing, but personality carries volumes and travels miles. each and every guy on this isg knows his across-the-board coolness factor and hence they travel within those circles where they feel cool. just for me, i'm cool across all levels and hence i can go to the aforementioned places 'cause i know i'll be cool.

"paesano63" is correct about the bus. he's also correct about 7 p. m. when the stores close. he's correct about the drug dealing, which i witnessed on sunday afternoon. he's also correct about the casino prices after negotiation. he's correct about the colleges letting out.

actually, one of the bar's, "felice, " is owned by some "white" people. another bar was owned by some chinos.

he should have mentioned the buffet of women at the "children's hospital. " great pick-up spot.

everyone knows of congrejo, marbella, paitilla, and el dorado. for those that don't want to party with the "rich folk" and "tourists, " calidonia is a good option. as mentioned earlier, i live in marbella and am surrounded by my economic and professional peers, but i'm not looking to make business deals when i party. i'm looking to have fun. furthermore, i really can't justify paying a lot of money for anything in america latina 'cause it's 2nd and 3rd world and hence the price level should be comparative. how does that sound to earn us income for the us market and pay us prices in a 3rd world market. hell, the gdp for panama is only us $15 billion. texas alone has us $1 trillion. (economics class complete.)

sorry "black page. " maybe the next time you come to cd. panama you'll be on mission attacking those mongering locales. actually, tourists are prevelant in casco viejo which has "la mayor. " although it's a little sketchy at night. i was a little more prepared as i walked those blocks for anything to kick-off and wouldn't do it again to be honest, but could if i had to. tourists are also prevelant in calidonia 'cause of all the $25 hotels, but they don't walk the 5 minute distance where the bars and stores are. i like to assimilate with the local populace when traveling, after all, that's the whole purpose of cultural exchange. i really don't want to be in a place that's trying to imulate the usa, which i'm trying to avoid.

i can't say if calidonia bars are safe or not, really. it's not high-end so don't go thinking it is or trying to act like richie rich. it's not poverty stricken, but may require some awareness of your surroundings. all i can do in this forumn is name places and disclose my activities. if you want to venture for yourself then that's what you have to do. at least you know where they are located. and hell those places are open during the day for a test run.

i wouldn't be too scared about calidonia 'cause you're only 1 block from the main strip with lots of people traffic, bus traffic, taxi traffic, police traffic- lots of witnesses. everyone will see the "white" guy getting robbed and then it just becomes are they going to help you like a decent human being, be fearful themselves, or go "anti-white" and encourage the robbery or assault. hell, if they help you prevent the assault they'd have a job for life as your bodyguard and probably receive immediate compensation. (laughing as i type.)

*** those calidonia places are open during the day for a test run fellas', and leave the rolex at the hotel. ***

I do not agree. Excuse me, but you seem to have a misperception of the Panamenian environment hostility. Also, taking a bus in Panama is not really something that requires special braveness.
I took a bus for a 1hr trip outside Cd. Panama my second day there, one year ago. Really not that exciting neither "adventourous", as you seem to depict this experience.

Just to give you an idea, I am European, tanned but white. I cannot be defined as a Latino, but neither I look Irish or typical "gringo". I do not look as a killer or drug dealer (A), but it is true that I am not a fat-ass middle-age business-man who likes to wear golden watch and keeps an expensive cell hanged at belt at all times (B). This, just to make clear that my look is "average" between two extremes.

Supplement: Barrio Calidonia Mongering, Part 1

    Street Walkers:

Along Calle 2A Sur (Ave. Cuba, ) which is about 4 blocks above Balboa, within 8 blocks of the Childrens' Hospital on Calle 34E are SW. I've seen SW along this street for the past month. Yesterday, I asked for a price quote and was given $20 for sex. Plenty of hotels are available starting at $10 within a block or two. Car traffic frequently stops in this area to pick-up there SW. The girls look nice with skirts, spandex, and shorts. 20-somethings. I've been propositioned just walking the street or drinking a beer across the street from one of Calidonia's casinos. The SW are present starting at 7 p. M. Only about 10 are visible and may be with a customer or inside the casino if not on the corner or walking around.

I've invested 3 weeks in this neighborhood and have found most of the mongering action as reported. I'll be posting new locations from a new neighborhood shortly.

    Barrio Calidonia Mongering, Part 1

Fellas, el Calidonia as mentioned before is a very active neighborhood.

Maybe one of the most active within the city. All of the bus routes pass through Calidonia and all three (3) major streets (Via Espana, Balboa, and Via Simon Bolivar) start in Calidonia. Cd. Panama is a rather small city, in my opinion, and is within minutes of los barrios el Dorado, Marbella, Congrejo, and Paitilla via taxi, foot, or bus. (Too far to walk from el Dorado though.)

In Calidonia the street Via Espana becomes Ave. Central and is very active with mercantilism. During the daytime the streets are jam-packed with people shopping and walking. During the night, the street still maintains its energy, but further down in the "walkway. " Lots of good-ass of all varieties can be had on Ave. Central during the day by just walking and talking. Ass of the non-pro and Colombian-pro and Panamanian-pro. (Your typical pro will be from Colombia, but many Panamanian girls sell the cocha.) A few casinos exist on Ave. Central and I have witnessed the Colombia-pros having to present their health card to enter. Frequently, I drink a beer and hit Ave. Central to meet some new canals for my dredging.

El Capitan located on a 45 degree angled street called Ave. Mexico which is 2 blocks from the big blue building (important fact) American Superstore located on Ave. Central towards the bottom at the beginning of the "walkway. " A park exists in front of the American Superstore. 5 a block from the American Superstore toward el Capitan is the Social Security office with a big bus stop in front of it. At the end of the second block are two self-serve car washes. Hit the 45 degree angled street and walk. 5 block. This block looks poor and has 2 hipodromo bars, 4 more bars, a used tire shop, a Chinese bodega, and a big vacant lot. Again, it looks poor.

El Capitan is great for those that like "Chocolate Lovin’! " The majority of the customers are of African-ancestory. Hours of operation are 10 a. M. Until late-close. Lots of chocolate Panamanians from the rough-and-tumble neighborhoods of Chorrillo, Ancon, Curundu, and Santa Ana sell ass at this location. Rates have been quoted of $40, but they most certainly will take less. No rooms are available, so a acquiring your own hotel in Calidonia or Bella Vista or where ever will be needed. Beginning at 7 p. M. The DJ plays Salsa and it becomes a nightclub. The place has about 20 or more girls sitting around beginning at about 5p. M. This is no frills nor does it have much ambiance, but has lots of nice Chocolate ass. Beers range from $0. 60 to $1 and for a lady they cost $2. Lots of older gentlemen frequent this local. The girls are fuck action.

Within walking distance on Ave. Central, the walkway, is Calle K. Lots of hookers! Street Walkers. Strippers. Frelancers. Everything. On Calle K are about 5 bars, with Las Vegas having strippers upstairs and porno downstairs. No rooms exist. The strippers are hungry, but lazy. Shouldn’t cost more than $25 – 40 for outside sex. Hours are daytime for beer and porno with strippers hitting the stage at 6 p. M. Pitchers of beer cost $4.

Bar Nicks on the corner of Ave. Central and Calle K has freelancers working day and night. Beer is $0. 80.

Bar La Panamerica has full-time hookers and porno all day and night. Beer is $0. 80. This place is located at the end of the aforementioned block on Calle K.

Bar Hawaii is located across the street from Bar la Panamerica and has freelancers and porno all day and night. Beer is $0. 80.

Calle K has every variety of prostitutes available and around the corner is a 24-hour hotel with SWs in front. The police are present at all times of day at the beginning of this block. Never should you pay over $40 for any ass within this sector and $25 is more realistic.

El Calidonia has about 5 casinos and pros working there. I’ve been quoted the ridiculous price of $100, but they knew better. Lots of hotels are around for $25 per night. You can score some Colombian ass within these hotels for under $60.

*** All of the above locations that play porno almost exclusively play anal movies, so the girls may be more willing to give you some third eye. ***

I always returned on foot from Los Arcos to my hotel in the Veneto area.
I passed by that place today "Black Page. " It probably is a 10 * 15 minute walk from Veneto area. I was on the bus, $0. 25, and passed by it and within 5 minutes was down the street from the Marriot and back at home in Marbella.

There are a slew of hotel in this area for a similar price and most are respectable establishments. Barrios Bella Vista, La Cresta, Calidonia.

    Veracruz Beach

Veracruz Beach is a favorite Sunday location for locals. Although a city bus does travel from Allbrook Terminal to Veracruz Beach for $0.25, one would want to rent a car; hire a taxi driver for $20 to drink-and-wait with you for 2 - 3 hours; or not go. Regarding the taxi, if he doesn't want to stay with you then look for another taxi driver 'cause you will have no way to get back to Cd. Panama. Try and find a driver that looks cool so he won't rush you at the beach.

Veracruz Beach is not really a beach where the women parade around in bikinis or lay out sun-tanning, but is a street along the ocean with about 50 outdoor bars playing salsa and cars lined-up along the drag blasting salsa as well.

To reach Veracruz Beach simply cross the America's Bridge leaving the city and look for the sign. It's the first 1 or 3 exits, I believe. The road to the beach is long and travels through a wooded area. It's totally desolate and would be a long walk through the woods. The police establish a check-point on the road into and from the beach, so don't be too drunk.

Lots of people are here and it usually is best for the afternoon. Lots of friends gather to party so finding the opportunity to meet ladies may take some patience and observation. But everyone loves this place so it's a major "pick-up spot" for locals. Beer costs $0.80 per beer and food is $4 per complete meal.

Nice place to go when you want to party outdoors since most of Cd. Panama establishments are indoors.

Absolutely correct "Black Page! " If you guys are wasting that type of money, $100, for a pro then what's an extra $25? There are a slew of hotels at the aforementioned rate all over the city. Unless you're, again, trying to impress an international prostitute with your financial success (viz. Your hotel room and charge; your payment of $100 for sex; your English-fluency) then "Black Page" is absolutely correct. Get a different hotel before you leave for your mongering. Unfortunately, I don't frequent hotels and thus my list of recommendations is thin. But, I will ask some of the pros I know for suggestions.

Remember all: the real reason why we pay a girl is not for sex (for many of us it is not impossible to do it for free), but for seeing her to disappear after it. :-)

(*) I always returned on foot from Los Arcos to my hotel in the Veneto area. Walking 10 minutes after 2 hours in a room makes me feel better. The walk is not dangerous (just look around and be prudent: at 4am there is little people around)
