Actually, I wouldn't suggest staying there. Latins have a saying: I don't eat where I take a shit. Sums it all.
Texas Hotel. You mean Hotel Residencial Texas? That's on Calle 31 este between avenue Cuba and Peru. It is kinda meager but doesn't seem to be that dirty. I never went inside though.

msands, i can only address "2". a day trip would be tough -- maybe 4 hours each way. you're going to have a tough time or impossible time finding a decent hotel room close to las tablas. if you want to head out to the provinces for a day trip during carnaval i'd suggest penonome --about 2 hours each way from panama city, and it's one of the best in the country. i paid $80 once to a taxi driver for round trip to penonome, and he waited for me several hours before returning. that was several years ago, when gasoline prices were lower. obviously, negotiate the price before you leave. you might consider renting a car if you're not planning on getting wasted -- driving isn't so bad once you leave panama city, provided you don't drive too fast -- lots of potholes and speed traps.

    Carnaval questions

Ok guys, need to some advice and info from the wise old PC sages out there.

I've done my searches and still need some basic info:

    1. Is PC a good place to go during Carnaval or does everyone head out for the provinces? Some posts here suggests the town goes dead?

    2. Can I make a day trip to Las Tablas on a Fri or Sat of Carnaval weekend or would I need to get a hotel room there for a night? Don't want to rent a car, but wondering if hiring a driver for the day and getting around is a possibility without paying a fortune? How long a drive is it?

    3. Where are the parades in PC? Are they going day and night? Does Calle Uruguay still pop during the weekend? Are the casinos still busy or ghost towns?

Thanks in advance, I promise to post a detailed report if I go.

    Peace,

    M

Well, maybe I could just hang around outside then. Try to pick somebody up that way and bring them back to my clean hotel! Hahaha!

    Panama City Report

My first report--having read many in the past. Time to give a little something back.

We spent six days in Panama--two nights in Panama City and then the rest diving along the caribbean coast--diving wasn't that great. But the two nights in Panama City were terrific.

We stayed at the Marriott and I highly recommend it. No problems bringing chicas back to the room--However, I suggest that you enter the Hotel through the Casino and come in the back way to take the elevator to your room. That way you totally avoid the people in the lobby and the front desk--No one ever said anything--but its always better to be somewhat discreet.

The great thing about the Marriott is that it is right across the street from Habanos. This place is fantastic--full of pros--most of whom I would characterize as semi-pros--80% of whom are from Colombia. There is a constant flow of girls coming in and out of this place. My buddy and I sat at the tables outside and drank beer and watched the comings and goings for a couple of hours--great fun. They are all standing around outside and there more inside at the bar and pool table..-It's amazing how good looking some of these Colombianas are. Never been in a place quite like it.

Also, they don't really hit on you (not like Havana where you are constantly being hassled)--if you see one you like, make eye contact and invite them over--and there you go. The beers were reasonable and Habanos doesn't screw you on the bar tab either.

Both nights we picked up chicas and just walked across the street--no cabs to mess with--no problema. The Casino next door to the Marriott is also fun--I went there with one of the girls for an hour or so.

They usually ask for $150--but both nights I settled on $100. 00 and time was not really an issue. I wish I had more time to check out the other spots in PTY--but Habanos was so great--just hung there both nights.

Lastly--work on some basic spanish--these girls don't speak english. I speak OK spanish--but my buddy can't do much more than como esta. At least one of your group should be able to speak some spanish to help work out the financial details and to help with the chit chat.

From Panama City--we went to Cartagena for 6 days---only an hour flight from PTY. Will post a report on the Colombia forum--don't miss Cartagena my friends.

EDITOR'S NOTE: I certainly hope that the author or somebody else will post a link to this report in the Reports of Distinction thread. Please Click Here for more information.

    PTY report

    Hey buds,

Got back from PC 2 weeks ago and here's a short report of interest. Stayed at Veneto and yes, no putas. But no issue taking girls up to the room as previously reported. Just use the elevator on ground floor and no hassles. I even took one a Colombiana up to casino to gamble and no hassles (it was pretty late though).

Anyways, it was Fri and payday on my weekend and you wouldn't believe the perfect party storm that nite. There's a new nightclub named K'os on Uruguay. Hotties everywhere and slammin dance tracks. Check it out. Sahara seems to be getting more pro's than before, especially after 1am.

Highlight #1: On Thurs, my buddy and I were way too drunk to fuck anything, but I wanted to show him Elite. So we walk in around 4am, and the 20 or so chicks left there just run up to us and start grabbing our dicks (literally). Felt like UN carrying food into disaster area. We stave them off and walk out to find out it was daylight and very few cabs. So we jump in a cab that had 2 chicks getting off work from Elite and offer to pay fare if we can share. They were OK and tried to offer us the early bird special. No takers, but we learned the hotel were the Colombianas stay at when they sign up with Elite (imagine staying there? )

Highlight #2: Playing blackjack at Majestic at $3 min table. Locals at our table spoke little English but were down with us acting the fools. We start increasing our bets and soon enough we're playing $25 a hand. They're cheering when we win and we're tipping dealer. This Panamanian lady (maybe 35? ) sits next to my buddy in 3rd base seat. They chum it up and he picks up the vibe. He lays down $40 and says, "if I win you go up to my room & you keep winnings". Everyone at table is chanting 'yes' yes. ' Dealer busts and everyone at table is waiting for her reaction. She smiles and says, "let's go" Yes, he got fucked for $40. She wasn't bad lookin either.

Highlight #3: On our last night we had to share my room at the Veneto. Our plan was to plan our fucking sessions so we could use the room one at a time. My time came up and he's still in the room. So I take my chick to the common area of the executive floor, which has some couches and was pretty dark that late. We start getting down on the couch and I'm eating her out, but she doesn't want to fuck there as someone could walk by from the elevators and hear us. I'm putting my shirt on when a light in the corner bar goes on and the night dude was sitting there in the corner the whole fucking time! Creepy grin and all. I knocked the fucking room door down after that. It would 've been a good place to fuck though.

As always, good time in PC. Thinking of going back for Carnival. I know it's good time to party, is it good for mongering too?

    Peace,

    M

    (1) The real estate market (buying and renting) may or may not be a tourist trap, especially pre-construction, if you're expecting the prices to be under $1,000 for a 1-bedroom rental or under $120,000 for a 1-bedroom condo purchase. (My USA friend sells real estate here to North Americans and Europeans and the quotes I hear are ridiculous. He agrees, but people are buying it so that's the proof-in-the-pudding.)
    (2) Using US Dollars negates the benefit of an exchange rate and the disparity that creates.
    (3) Safe yes.
    (4) No Pollution, except the Bay of Panama.
    (5) Tap water is clean and everyone has hot water and a bidet in their bathrooms.
    (6) Friendly people yes.
    (7) Yes, there is an over-abundance of white skinned latinas from Colombia!
If you want to bang Colombians, but are scared of Colombia or don't want to pay the airline premium then Panama is your destination. Venezuela has nothing, but Colombian putas too.
    (8) An over-abundance of casinos for you gamblers. Entertainment does revolve around casinos. Night life is rather serious until 5 a.m. Day entertainment is non-existent.

Panama touts having, "all the luxuries of Miami in a Latin America setting."

    Mothers' Day

*** Advisory: Mothers Day is a serious affair, national holiday, in Cd. Panama. Nothing is open and all the streets are empty. These people love their mama. And of course, Fathers Day is the exact opposite. ***

Happy "Mothers Day" to all of you mother f*ckers! Yeah, that's right. Most of you ISG readers are mother f*ckers 'cause these pros have kids and there you go f*cking them. Hence, you're a mother f*cker.

I started the day reading some business magazines and drinking beer. This place really knows how to market finance and real estate. I must further admit that I'm starting to like Cd. Panama for at least nothing more than being the Copa Air hub and a conference center.

My friend was passing through Cd. Panama from South America so we met up. Since he too is a habitual monger I informed him about ISG, so we'll see if he posts his experiences in all the Central American, West Indies, and northern South America boards. Nonetheless, we drank a few Old Milwaukee beers, talked shit, and motivated. (I'm from the Midwest and prefer Miller products to Clydesdale products. I like the Cubs too! )

So we went to my girlfriend's mother's house since her mother caught me off guard last week asking me what I was doing for mother's day. (The girl actually isn't my girlfriend 'cause I don't use titles, but use that term for simplicity sake.) Again, taking the bus around Cd. Panama when possible, we went and delivered thanks and gratitude for those 9 months of pain derived from 2-minutes of pleasure. Or in "Meat Loaf's" sake, 60-minutes of a physical challenge!

Accompanied by my brethren, we decided to explore Rio Abajo. US State Dept. Says don't go there, so we went there. Nothing special or challenging, except certain streets which I forgot the names of. Hitting every single bar along the strip and venturing a little into the neighborhoods produced mundane results. Finally we ended-up at "Gruta Azul" for my second-visit. I don't like that places atmosphere being all dark and with Wh*res sitting around and not soliciting. The music isn't that energetic either. Having "Gringo-dar" I spotted a fellow-countryman from the Midwest who proved to be a habitual monger as well. Bored and unimpressed we left after a few beers and the Midwestern gave me reviews about santa's little helper. "Gruta Azul" is $32 for 30-minutes.

Wanting florescent lighting we headed to Veneto Hotel which was hooker central for the Mayweather-White Guy fight! (Sorry, I don't know that British guys name, but when was the last time you saw a white guy boxing? Exactly. He's no Paul Spadafora, "the P. K. Kid: " We miss you Paul and you're still undefeated! ) Regressing to the topic of booty and many ISG readers questions concerning the Veneto. Colombian Wh*res Galore! Or at least for big sporting events 'cause they can't police the crowd as normal due to the quantity. As I saw 45-year old Gringos buying Colombia putas like they're at the five-and-dime store I wondering to myself and friend, "is this our future in 10 years? Buying international prostitutes who charge more for 1-hour than the USA population earns per day? " How depressing. Even worse, will I be one of those Gringos spending my pension and social security check, which won't be available for me in 40-years, on over-priced putas? Hell no, I will not! By that time I'll have putas-on-payroll.

Nonetheless, the Veneto was crunk (jumping and exciting! ) Walking back to Marbella we stopped at the casino alongside the Marriott. Nothing was happening for us so we went to Habanos which was closed. (Tony Vega, el salsero, will have a free concert on the 14th at said casino so it again will be crunk.)

Walking to Rock Cafe, we ate some tacos, and spit-some-game (scammed or talked to the ladies.) This disco is $11 for all-you-can-drink; everyone knows of it; and its days of importance are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Nothing special happening so we looped around the corner to Calle Uruguay and it was the same.

Tired from drinking since 8 a. M. We returned to Marbella at 3 a. M. Holding our peters, which didn't pick a paluchi (p*ssy.)

For me, Cd. Panama is two-extremes: One-side is the real population of $400 per month citizens, while the other are foreign rich people earning international professional incomes. Frequently, as evidenced by these Colombian hookers, (crabs enter the professional social community.) Cognizant of those who play without earning, I can't justify spending 1st-world earnings in 3rd world environments. Hence, my experience is jaded. On the other hand when I'm in Chanis, Los Pueblos, Rio Abajo, San Francisco, Armador, Allbrook, Clayton, and San Miguelito, I enjoy Cd. Panama: When I'm in Marbella, Paitilla, El Congrejo, and those other high-priced neighborhoods, I don't feel the city's energy. I guess it's about finding your nitch. Or should I write "your *****. "

Gotta' go 'cause the the pits are about to open.

Cd. Panama Putas / La Navidad del Mundo

It seems everyone in Cd. Panama are rather happy having 90% of all the putas being from Colombia.

There is no shortage of available ass (Panamena) in Cd. Panama!

The parade (La Navidad del Mundo) was ridiculous. Ass all over the place. Living in Marbella gave me prime access and a bathroom to use from all the beers I drank. It was sick at all the women and their kids viewing the "summertime" parade. This "mothers' day" weekend celebration is well worth a vacation trip for you foreigners. I guess that's why the hotels were sold-out.

I for sure will return to Cd. Panama for this weekend in the near future.

By the way, I stayed in Las Vegas hotel, paid $58 the first 2 days then $75 for the last 2 days. Its not bad it gets noisy in the morning. If you are a light sleeper, its not the best place to stay at.

Where is Las Vegas? is it near to the Venetto hotel ? is it grild freindly? I understand there are hookers on the street at Venetto hotel, I wonder how much is the price for LT, ST?

    Cheers,
