Had gone to CJ two nights in a row. Tuesday was pretty quite but Wednesday was bustling with life given that it was a Ladies Night. What a huge difference it made.

I think BATS is equivalent to CJ, does anyone know when their Ladies Night is? Are there any other places similar to CJ around town, in terms of quality of Freelance etc?

It's hit or miss. The last ladies night I went to CJs was absolutely packed, but was more of a sausage fest than a good night to find hot talent. The only night at BATS where girls get in free is Sunday night.

Blok M is still a free lance option. X2 also has girls who will approach you for free lance action, but most of the girls there are not hookers. Honestly, the best free lance action these days is on phone apps.

OK guys, just got back from a vacation in Indonesia, during which I spent three nights in Jakarta. Not enough to see it all, mind you, but enough to peek into most of the hot spots. The facts and details of most of these places are covered quite well in the forum, reading back only about 6 months, so I'll leave you to that. What I'll do is give you my impressions, as well as some advice geared to first timers planning their trip things that I would have wanted to know.

That's a good summary of the highlights of the place. I would have a few different takes, but a great intro. The city certainly screams for a better hotel in the northern central part of town. Most are pretty dumpy places, but I'm fairly certain that all are girl-friendly. Every place I have stayed from the airport Ibis to the Four Seasons is girl-friendly, just walk them in and up to your room anytime day or night. Recently, at the Raffles I called down and said a girl was coming in an hour or so and they could send her up the lift. I gave them her name (not sure if it was her real name or not). At 12:30 am there was a knock on the door and she was there, unescorted. Very handy.

My first trip to Jakarta, I brought $5,000 USD in hundred dollar bills from the USA. They accepted 4 of the 50 bills. They examine those bills as if they were baseball cards that had to be in pristine condition. It's hard to even find bills like that in the USA. About the only place you can get bills that nice is in Asia. When I ask my bank in the US for those type of bills, they tell me I need to give them a month notice to order new bills. I don't even screw with it. I use an ATM.

Its also not a good an idea to rely totally on rupiah bills you have left over from a previous trip to pay for you immediate arrival or few days in country.

Counterfeit bills are rife in Indo and the rotating door of public officials love to have their egos massaged by appearing on new bills. The result is new bills are issued in a regular basis and old series notes are made unusable with little notice.

Some other random advice. If you like to exchange currency like I do, make sure to bring only the newest, unmarked hundred dollar bills. Nobody takes the older edition bills. I couldn't find anyone to take them. I may as well have wiped my ass with them.

So here is the lay of the land. Jakarta is obviously a big crazy megalopolis similar to Manila, but perhaps a notch less congested and crazy. If you visited Manila before and learned how to deal with life and getting around there, then you know what to expect and are well prepared. Its generally divided into three areas North, Central and South Jakarta. There is a large, multi-line, main street artery than runs north-south, connecting the three parts of town, called Ji Gaja Mada. This is the main drag. The North Jakarta is the historic district, including Chinatown. It is somewhat rundown. Central Jakarta is the bustling heart of Jakarta. There is a big central park, as well as the best concentration of hotels and restaurants. Southern Jakarta is where some of the more upper class live. It has more of a polished, lounge scene, with hipsters and bars. President' Obama lived here for four years an attended a small, somewhat privileged elementary school.

In regards to punting, there is a broad swath of spas, strip / night clubs with full service rooms, and pickup bars. I have seen longer comprehensive lists that would probably cater to people who visit Jakarta on business or live here, but for visiting tourists, I would say that there are three primary venues: Alexis Hotel Spa, Malioboro / Malio club, and Hotel Classic. Alexis is in Northern Jakarta, Malioboro and Classic are in Central Jakarta. The pickup bars, namely CJ and Bats, I believe are in Southern Jakarta. I didn't visit those places. On vacation in countries where I don't speak the language, I prefer point and shoot.

Alexis Hotel is essentially an FKK without the outdoor pool / lawn facilities. Its spa facilities are very nice, with three different temperature pools. There are several masseuse cabanas near the pools, for legit massages. I got one there that is one of the best massages that I can ever remember getting an hour for 200,000, which is $16! I highly highly recommend getting one as a way to perhaps kill time between sessions. The lady companions are divided into two groups Indonesian and import, with fees as previously described. The available women here were the prettiest that I saw at any venue in Jakarta, particularly for the Indo women. I thought that some of the Vietnamese women were absolutely stunning. Despite its seemingly high price, if it is within your budget, I actually think that Alexis provides a good value experience, though I would probably change my mind if they raised the prices any higher. My main issue with Alexis is that it is way in the Northeast sticks. It's a day trip. You can't go there and cruise the local area, because there is nothing there. Going there is a commitment for the evening, and getting back can be a chore dealing with taxi drivers trying to press their captive audience.

Maliboro and Malio club are intertwined and physically connected. I walked into Malio, asking for Malioboro, and they just told me to come on in. They are in what is either the same building or two connected buildings. The wristband that they give you for billing covers both clubs. Malio Club is a strip club, with ladies that are either dancers, or strippers that do lapdances at your table. Some of the dancers are downright gorgeous, though they have limited availability. You will have to talk them into it, and it is expensive. But I liked it very much as a place to hang out and drink. Great scenery, and the DJ mixing the music on a Thursday night was fantastic. Seriously, the music is really good. You can then move on to Malioboro, which is like a brightly lit nightclub / bar with a small stripper stage. The ladies of different origin hangout at specific tables for easy identification. There is a large Indonesian section, a Chinese table, and a Slavic table. By my eye, I actually thought that the Russian / Uzbek women here were the best looking, followed closely by the Chinese girls. The Indo women here were of much lower quality here than at Alexis, and in my opinion, no better looking than the women at the budget location Hotel Classic.

Hotel Classic is a little east of the main drag, but still definitely central Jakarta. Hotel Classic is the name of the building (which by the way, is NOT a hotel), but the nightclub within it is called Terminal. You enter the building and take the escalator up two flights to find the entrance to Terminal. This is a for locals, all-Indo night club with amenities. It is not for the faint of heart. It is VERY dark (you can barely make people out) and very cigarette smoky. The night that I was there, on stage was a terrible live band with volume cranked way way up. It was annoying. The area is patrolled by an army of mamasans whose mission in life is too hook you up. The problem is, each mamasan only pushes for their small group of girls, not all the girls. To get a feel for all the women there, you have to roam around on your own.

For punting, I would probably recommend either Alexis or Hotel Classic. Both are good value, depending on your budget. Although Malio Club is a great place to hangout, Malioboro I think is poor value.

I briefly stopped by two other venues. Illegals is an FKK / spa in the are between North and Central Jakarta, but on the main road. Inside, it is a little dark, but otherwise absolutely gorgeous facilities. More luxurious than Alexis. It even has themed fantasy rooms for your use a weight room / gym, a hospital room, and an office. The use of these fantasy suites are included with your general fee, and at no extra charge. Its too bad that the small group of women, maybe 7-8, were not even close to my liking. That plus the entire facility itself was eerily empty. When I walked in on a Friday night, there were only four other guys sitting together at a table. It's a shame. The owner has obviously invested a lot of money in Illegals it is a luxurious, first class facility. But the quality of lady companions was so poor that they don't get any foot traffic, despite being directly on the main drag. I think the owner will need to put some ladies on salary or else risk losing his entire investment. But you can see what the intent is. I hope he succeeds. I would definitely encourage any punters to at least check it out. Its worth the cover charge just to see the place at the chance that there may be someone to your liking.

I had also heard of a soapy called Kartika that is just next door to Illegals. Ick. The ladies were all old enough to be mamasans. Don't even bother.

So where to stay? I took the advice of many on the forum and stayed at the Grand Mercure Harmoni, which is at the northern end of Central Jakarta. It's a very nice hotel, more than worth the roughly $90/ night you will pay to stay here. It is directly on the main drag, huge and easy to see, and all the taxi drivers know where it is. It is about 200 m walking distance to Malio / Malioboro, and on the main east / west street that is a 5 minute straight shot taxi ride to Hotel Classic. In addition, a stop on the Transjakarta bus line is literally at your doorstep. If you want to save some money, the Ibis Harmoni is literally next door, and almost half the price. I doubt that they are girl friendly though. Regardless, based on the lay of the land, I think that these are by far the best hotel choices. The only problem with this area is that it is not "walkable" and there are no restaurants in the area.

Alexis would be a 30-60 minute taxi "day trip," but that would be true of anywhere you make your bed. It's in the sticks. I would recommend going to Alexis after a day shopping at the nearby ITC Mannga Dua shopping mall, which is famous for knockoffs of every kind, including handbags and Adidas sneakers that you will embarrassingly hoard. You won't need to dress up there like you would want to at Malioboro. Stinky t-shirt and shorts are fine, because you are just going to immediately take a shower and put on a bathrobe.

I also used the Transjakarta bus line quite a bit. It is a network of modern, air-conditioned buses that run in a protected lane medial to the flow of traffic. It functions somewhat like a subway or tram line. The most used line is "Corridor One" which runs the length of Gaja Mada. If your points of interest are on or close to the main drag, it is easily the fastest way to get around. Just don't take it during morning or afternoon rush hour, or you will be pressed up on other people like the Japanese bullet trains. But off peak, its quick, pleasant, and dirt cheap. However, if you are headed significantly OFF the main drag, then take a cab.

Regarding Kings Cross and the quality there It depends when you go.

Agree in general that most are not hot hot but there are almost always diamonds in the rough.

There today around 4 pm and asked my usual Papi to recommend a girl with exceptional BBBJ skills.

I think the dancers at Malio are always nicer overall than at KC. However, I've never taken a dancer from either place other than to get their phone numbers to come to my house, so I don't know the prices of the dancers. I do know that the regular sex girls at KC are close to half the price of the girls at Malioboro (600 k compared to 1 juta). I haven't been to KC in a while so I believe you when you say the current crop is not good, but I did visit Malioboro recently and there were not many girls there who justified the 1 juta 1 hour short time price tag. It goes in cycles. Sometimes there are stunners at one place or another around town. If I were in town a few days, I would absolutely go to Malio over KC.

Smoothy, regardless of the bad sex in Classic Hotel and the minor let down I experienced in KC, I definitely had a good time in Jakarta. I get to enjoy the P4P scene only very rarely, so for me even getting inside a brothel is reason for happiness!

Yes I was expecting more from KC, in fact in some ways I was probably assuming I would have liked it more than Malio Club.

Even thinking about it now, a few weeks removed form the experience, I totally stand behind my statement that the girls dancing on the ground floor on that particular Monday night were un-bonkable, regardless of personal tastes. They really were awful. Could be that they are good at sex, who knows, but I wouldn't have tried them even if they came for free.

The girls upstairs (third floor) were, on average, quite pretty, with a couple of real beauties in each dancing team, and I had a very nice session with the girl I chose.

But (on that evening) the overall gap between KC and Malio was too wide to justify the nearly identical prices.

I would try the establishment again in a heartbeat though, I would just do it on a Thursday-to-Saturday night, to make sure there was a more lively atmosphere.

Further uptown at the debatable Classic Hotel a regular visitor accidently fell down the stairs and killed himself beside the security desk. Unfortunately the CCTV was broken at the time.

Did you ever hear any more details on this one?
