All of the major hotels in Taipei are GF. They might have signs that says "no visitor after 12 a. M. " or some BS like that. But in reality nobody cares and they know you are bringing home a worker back with you to work her up, but they don't care.

150-250? You can stay anywhere you want with that price range. I suggest Sheraton or Westin because they are in good places that is kind of in the center of everything. Grand Hyatt is close to Taipei 101 area but too far out to the central part of Taipei, but still doable.

As for mongering. Get an English newspaper and look for "massage" or "massage for business men", bargain down to $3000 (say, 'hey, last time I called it's only $3000')

Or, go to Asian World massage sauna places for $4300 each (FS)

Or, go to Uniform Shops to get young beauties for $16, 000 each (FS), yeah pricey but you are guaranteed to find a young 18-25 year old beauty. So depending on your wallet and choice.

Yep, Taipei sucks now as a mongering city. I would rather suggest you to go to a travel agent, buy a vacation package to Macau, and have fun there. i will be in taipei soon for the first time and are just catching up via this thread on how it works here compared to shanghai, seoul etc.

one thing i have not found yet and would appreciate advice on is the choice of hotel. not sure what the price range is, but it could be between 150 and 250 usd / night. three that my agency suggested were the westin, sheraton and "four points chung ho".

thins that i am looking for:

- conveniently located for p4p and/or going out
- girl friendly (e.g. allow call-in)
- nice rooms :-)

taipei is one of the pricey cities of asia. your price range is correct. the four point sheraton is in the chung ho district. it is a little out of the way from the downtown area (taipei 101)but you can take a short taxi ride to a mrt (subway station) and you could be there in minutes. the subway (mrt) is fairly cheap around. 75usd to go to the downtown taipei 101 area.

the sheraton (lai lai) use to be where everything was happening but if you were to choose a hotel stay near the taipei 101 area, it is within walking distance to the subway and it is a safe, nice and trendy area. most major hotels are girl friendly. here are a few you want to check out.

taipei 101 area

hyatt. very nice and gf

agora inn. this is suppose to be a hotel for private membership only. some of there room are suite style. it is very clean and has a nice gym with swimming pool on location. if you are a member or knows someone with a membership, the member is allow to stay there for two weeks a year and the fee is around $1000nt or around $30usd, a real bargain. there is a nice restaurant downstair in the lobby. there is a night club there called 'shanghai'. very nice to relax at the end of the day. light jazz and some dancing.

near taipei railway/mrt hub

caesar taipei. very nice. i believe that they have a sauna on location. very gfe. very close to transportation. is also one of the hub for taiwan hi speed railway. this system is like the european and japanese high speed railway. to kaoshiung it takes less than 90 minutes. the high speed rail would also take you to the airport in record speed. there is a shuttle at the airport station to take you directly to the airport. do not take those taxis from the rail station to the airport or from the airport to the hi speed rail station. there is a low cost shuttle operated by the airport. total scam.

taipei really is an expensive city to monger. most of the places that operated openly in the nineties till the early 2000's were closed by the dpp (green party/opposition ) when they are in power. i just hope that the kmt party bring back the fun places back into taipei.

most of taipei's hotel are gf. i have never had a problem with them.
