Yes, you can get one in the airport (Far Eastern, etc). 300NT or so ($12 US).
You would need (1) Passport, (2) another pictured ID (driver's license, etc.) and (3) a credit card. Kinda a hassle when you're in the airport. But it's there and opens till 9 pm.

You can get one when in TPE. But you'd most likely have to go to one of those larger branches. You'd need 2 different pictured IDs from your country (passport, driver's license, Credit card with your pic, etc). Before, you'd also need a resident's co-signature, but I don't think you'd need that now.

I've heard another way to bypass showing your ID is to buy a cell phone along with a temporary number. But of course, that's if you need a cell phone in the first place. Cheapest ones run around 1500 nt ($50 bucks US? ). And the temporary SIM number would be $300 NT up.
When I came to taiwan this time,I went to xinmending at those stands that show so many cell phones in glass cabinents. Yes, you need your passport to get the SIM card with number. Any second i.d. works. No co-signature necessary nowadays. I also got a motorola phone for 1000NT. It was used but works fine (of course no fancy features like GPS, etc.). I can recharge my card at any family mart. Just a note to those from usa, the charges are for outgoing calls only. You don't pay to recieve calls. For the medium to short term mongerer or for those that need a second phone that the significant other shouldn't know about, i would suggest this route.

Forumosa is an old forum for expats and 20-something English teacher guys from Canada.

BTW Google maps works pretty well here. IMHO an Android phone is fast becoming an essential mongering tool.

    SIM CARD in Taiwan

    James,

You are making fast progress and a good contribution thank you. I don't know what the problem is with the newspapers. As I read in the Taipei Times, over the last 6 or 8 months the Ministry of Interior is decriminalizing prostitution. So why would they pull the ads now? Let's see if the ads return in 2010. The 'aunties' need to reach transient foreign visitors. But the government doesn't want foreigners to see things that offend American morality.

Very much value your insights into the mechanics of the outcall industry. A few pages into this thread though, another poster suggested, they ask for 5000, you tell them the going rate is 3000, then you tell them you'll got 3500 or 4000 if they send some quality. So, maybe 6000 is too much… don't inflate prices for the rest of us. Another optimization would be to cut out the middleman and work directly with the girl. She might have friends too who are in the business or got her into it to begin with.

As far as hotels go, I thought that most if not nearly all hotels offer "rest", 2-3 hours for $800 - $1200 (cheaper in Taipei County). Maybe some do more of their business this way, they call them 'love hotels'. So they are set up for sex, then they just don't ask if its commercial or not.

I've not heard of fishbowls here, but some places have a "lineup" I think.

Maybe you could just print up a card with your (mongering) phone number or email on it, and give it to the girl and ask her to contact you. I think soon they will have cell phones that accept dual SIM cards. Though they don't just sell SIM cards OTC here like they do in HK or PRC.

Anyway, you're dead right, hot young girls are still stuck living at home, trying to make ends meet. There would be a big supply of them who can easily divert to an afternoon or evening rendezvous.

As an American though, I might not be able to use the 'you look too much like my sister' excuse! I think the "aunties" also help translate from english, and the managers will only speak chinese.

Hey fellow ISG friends. Just finished reading the Taipei board and received a lot of helpful tips from the local members. Thanks!! I will be visiting Taipei in 2 weeks from January 14 to the 17 and hope to visit some of the KTV and spa in Taipei. If you are interested and will be in town, please shoot me a message. I have done most of my mongering in southern China but never in Taiwan. Any helpful hints will be greatly appreciated.

    new info

    Hi everyone,

I agree the fishbowls of Thailand and China are much easier, but I really do find Taiwan girls to have better facial structure and thinner bodies. Of girls all over the world, I think taiwan girls are the prettiest. That's why I'm trying to figure out the most efficient way to hobby here. (Does anyone know if they have a *** type site for taiwan)?

Bad news: I checked the Taipei Times and China Post for the last 4 days. There are no more ads for outcalls, and only a few ads for incall massage. I think there must be a policy shift recently that they are no longer allowed to advertise for outcall massages in newspapers. This means that we will have to get outcall numbers by word of mouth. The good news is that I discovered how outcalls work and how to best utilize them.

I've concluded that outcalls are the best bet in Taipei, compared to bathhouses, high end KTV, massage parlor etc. The reason is because it is much more discrete, allowing many girls who are 18-24 to do it without any of their friends knowing. Many of them plainly don't want to be seen working at KTV and the schedule is much more flexible for them at outcall. This means you can get a much hotter girl, for a lot less money. I agree that the KTV girls are pretty too, but you need to invest so much time, money, drinking, and interface with so many people, most of whom are ripping you off.

I have talked to a lot of the girls and found out that this is how it works: Most of the girls are students or working jobs, but live with parents. Because of this, 2pm – 8pm is the best time to call an outcall. The way the system in TPE works is that the girls are all independents. The usually work for 1-3 managers who will call them and tell them where the client is. These managers are typically NOT the people to deal with the clients. Those are usually Miss Ma, Yuki types (we'll call them 'Aunts') who coordinate between customers and the managers. The price can range from 3k-10k depending MORE on your negotiating ability than the quality of the girl. Its much better to try to get the phone of the managers directly because they are the people who have actually seen the girls, so you can explain what you want to them. I'm sure some of you have realized that using outcalls in TPE seems like they send random girls to you. This is because most of the 'aunts' have never seen any of the girls. In TPE, the girls keep half the money, the managers/aunts keep half. (raw deal.) A good way to test to see if you deal with a manager or aunt, is to ask your girl the name of her contact person. If its not the same name as the person you call, then you are not dealing with someone who sees the girls, and there is more chance you will not get what you want. (more middlemen= higher costs too.)

Outcalls in TPE differ than some other countries in that: 1) you get to reject the girls, and they will send you a new one, as many times as you want, no hard feelings. (I usually tip the girls I send back and give them an excuse such as 'u look too much like my sister. ') 2) there's no massage. 3) they generally pop you once and leave, regardless of time. They rarely give 2 pops.

I generally offer to pay 6k right away and tell them to send the hottest girl. I usually give an age and weight to narrow the range of girls they can send. Also, I usually reject the first one unless she is very hot. If you find a girl you like, you can ask her for her personal number and promise to not tell her manager and call her directly in the future. If the girl is very comfortable, ask her for the numbers to her managers. Managers typically change their numbers every 2 months, so the more you have, the less chance you will be left without a connection. I leave my email too, so they can email me of phone changes when I am not in tpe.

For outcalls, I spend on average 6k for girls 20-24 years old, probably 8. 5 overall looks. (setting 5. 0 as average.) At shining star and KTV, I end up spending 20k for the same quality girl, and its always a hassle haggling, binge drinking etc. (I'm in my 30's so binge drinking = feel shitty all day tomorrow.)

Lastly, I realize now that some hotels cater to outcalls. Waikoloa Hotels have nice interiors, and are very discrete. You tell the counter 'xio xi' meaning 'rest' and they give you a key with a room number. It costs $800 to have the room for 2 hours, and you pay cash when you leave. They don't ask for ID. Heck, they don't even ask you your name. Free water, condoms, internet, towels, toiletries etc. I stayed at the Waikoloa (there are 5 hotels) overnight and watched the lobby. HOT girls going straight to the elevator every 3 minutes. I have yet to devise a way to approach them and get their numbers but I am trying to get the courage. Finding a way to do this would mean I could wait in the Waikoloa lobby, and discretely approach the girls I find attractive enough. (almost as good as fishbowls.) Too bad I'm chicken.

Anyone else have any avenues I am unaware of? Fishbowls (aquariums) in tpe would be great, but I have still not heard that they exist. Has anyone seen one there?

    First Report

    Hi everyone,

This is my first of several reports.

First of all, I’m from Taipei, but have spent most of my life in the West. I was transferred back to Taipei this July. I look Taiwanese and speak mandarin fluently.

I’ve been a reader of this forum since July, however recent talks of shining star and the lack of activity in this thread has really encouraged me to post my experiences. (Before I get to shining star, let me start off with some general reports)

After checking out the forum in July the first place I decided to go was Caesars. Because it seemed like a safe bet as Taipei has changed way too much since the last time I was here.

It’s exactly like how everyone’s described it in the forum. Get in, take off your shoes, (one of the times they charged me 100 NTD for shining my shoes, I didn’t really want to complain knowing it was mafia run), shower, go to the rest area, act cool and the mamasan will approach you.

I’ve been there many times since July so I’ll just do a brief summary:

The only girl worth mentioning is No.67, a 7 in my opinion; she’s very GFE, kissing and everything as well as BBBJs. I even got her number after the second time but never called her or visited her after that.

Other worth picking are No.23 and 27; both have nice attitudes and provide good service, which at 4200NTD in Taipei, is good enough for me.

One time I went at like 1am, finished at about 2, the girl told me I can sleep in the room until morning, but man, the whole night I keep hearing these moans coming from all the surrounding rooms. (I have to give praise to fellow mongers as I never get any girl to moan so loud) So after about 3.5 hours of listening to all this moaning I was like screw this, went out and told them I wanted another girl. Should’ve seen their faces; anyway in the end the whole night wasn’t that much fun since I got no sleep, tired myself out, and had to work the next day.

Oh there’s this other time on a Friday night, they told me the cops will come and I had to wait until 2 for the specials, so I had a normal massage, during which cops showed up! It was pretty intense man. But everything was cool after I told them my Taiwan ID number. (Good thing I had it memorized). Afterwards the mamasan told me they are looking for criminals and they usually come on Friday nights. (Needless to say, never went on Fridays after that).

Apologies on the long report on the familiar Caesars, but I do like this place.
I will focus on other places after this.

damn ain't that a great way to spend 6 months.

hope you have a great time here. I have had a steady provider for the last 3 years and she gives me pretty good quality. I have heard from her of extortion schemes recently (see some of my previous posts) so do be careful out there. The law is very lenient towards brothers here so many schemes either focus on public humiliation or violence.

Have fun playing and be safe everyone.

I think the Taipei Times still has the usual ads. I'll check. Except, IIRC on Sunday they run fewer escort ads. Maybe out of respect for the church ads. Good luck and, suggest you review the last few months of posts. Not much new here. The MOI seems to be moving along its plan to legalize our hobby (search the Taipei Times website for 'prostitution') but when this will actually result in more skanky on my hang-down is anyone's guess.

    Taipei

Hi guys, I'm in Taipei now and renewing my research here. Its been a few months since the last time I was here.

High end KTV. The girls are hot, and you do get to choose, but its not cost effective. Expect to spend $700US if you want to take them home. What's worse, you can cycle through many girls and not find one you like if you are really picky, and you can end up spending $350US for the nite, and NOT take anyone back.

Outcall - Miss Ma, Yuki. I think these are the best bet for the time and money spent. I found the best strategy is to just tell them you will pay the maximum $6k and tell her to send the hottest girl. Also, give an age and weight range, and that way its hard for them to send someone you don't want. I reject the first couple girls and they will get the idea of what quality you want.

Shining Star - I realized that this place usually offers a legit massage. However, some of the girls will do special services if they like you. Not all do it so dont assume they will. I already went thru 4 girls and was lucky to find 2 cute ones that WILL do it outside the place. they will charge $1400x3 hours, plus whatever they want for the special service. negotiate ahead of time over the phone or else you will get ripped off if you try to negotiate when they arrive. Mine charged me 10k extra but she was pretty hot, 8.5. Overall, I don't think its a good idea to get a 90 minute massage hoping a girl will offer special services. However, if you do go for a massage, its pretty obvious if your girl will do it. Generally, if they give a good massage, they are serious about massaging. If they are working hard to sell you a massage at your hotel, they probably will go out and provide some special services. Sunday is the best day to try to find special services because its harder for them to make their quotas on Sunday.

Also, I noticed that Yuki and other outcalls are no longer advertising on the classified section of Taipei Times and other papers. There are onjly incall numbers now. I found that strange. Does anyone have Yuki's number? I lost it.

I'm planning to live in Taipei for 6 months next year so i will keep you all posted with all the new information I have. (I basically don't need to work and consider mongering my hobby.)

Dated a 5'7" tall, face 8 body 9, white skin (and smooth) color, mid 20s girl named Candy at KeeLung's "railroad streets" several weeks ago. Great legs/ass curve like Westerner chicks; however, only B cup boobs.
She probably wouldn't do BBBJ but no harm to ask. I was surprised she said OK without a doubt. Her looks made me very horny. Great BJ and pump for just NT1,000. Too bad she wouldn't give me her cell #.
I knew she was too good for 1K. I went back a few days later. The pimp told me she wouldn't be there for a few weeks. I went back another day and the Mamasan told me she went to China and won't be back for several months. Mamasan asked me to date someone else. I was not interested...
Just like what I expected. The good quality usually won't stay at low-cost market for long but still fun to check it out occasionally. And I am going tonight....

You hit it right on the money. For some of us a China trip even once every two or three months elicits suspicion, and out of the question especially if China has nothing to do with your work. So for those of you that have the means and the freedom, you will continue to enjoy at least my envy.
