    The DR vs. Colombia debate

I'm posting this here because most mongers and expats do the DR / Colombia circut. When asked about the DR vs. Colombia any DR expat will tell you Colombia wins hands down. Then when asked why are they in the DR they don't have a good answer.

Granted I haven't been to Meddy or Carty so take this with a grain of salt. Colombia blows the DR out of the water in all ways except for general ease of living and women. What I mean is you can
speak almost no Spanish like I did when I came to the DR and quickly figure it out. I was able to get what I needed as easily in the Dr as I was in English Speaking Kenya. Shit is different in Cali Colombia. You get the run around when finding out basic information and there doesn't seem to be any monger hangouts where you can meet fellow mongers and get schooled. This is similar to Africa where people don't really help Black Mongers.

Secondly the women, Here in Cali there seems to be more plastic here than in the DR and more indigenous women who generally lack curves but the surgery is more realistic here. In the Dr when they use surgery they ten to go overboard and it can look crazy especially when you see them at the mall with their children. But the women are far far far more user friendly in the DR than in Colombia. In the DR I never stepped foot in a Casa, There was no need. Once I found my footing I was picking up semis and "non pros" with ease. I fucked a fair amount of shop girls in Agora and Megacentro malls.

El Conde was like shooting fish in a barrel and the Malecon was an excellent hunting ground. I will say that Colombian Casa girls in smaller casas tend to be as or even more accomodating than a food court worker in Megacentro you can generally get multi nut sessions and CIP (if that's what you want) in an "independent" casa as you can in the DR. I think that Colombian hoes are more "regulated" I haven't seen "the look" in Chipichape Mall from a shopgirl but if a woman is willing to sell pussy I think that they're encouraged to rent out a space and take clients there as opposed to the more freewhelling DR where chicks make on the spot decisions to have sex for money. There isn't a Parque Independencia or even a Parque LLeras in Cali.

Then there's the middleman issue. In Cali it's almost impossible to get takeout (take in?) You either go to the Casa or pay waaaaay more to a cab driver wannabe pimp who will wait as you fuck. I never experienced that in the DR. If a girl "delivered" another girl I usually fucked the delivery girl too just to prove a point. I'm been here more than a month and I haven't had one girl offer up a friend.

My overall point is that by a month's time I was swimming in women in the DR here it's still somewhat touch and go. I'm not motivated to visit every casa to find those diamonds in the rough.

But I will say there's way more non mongering things to do in Cali than in Santo Domingo

The Expats have it right you should live in the DR and vacation in Colombia.

    Hope this Helps.

    Trip.

I don't want to dump on the town but if you didn't go to Sosua to monger you'd be disapointed. I mean it's a small beach town but it's more expensive for everything than in the Capital city. And the cab drivers and chicas are rip off artists. I wouldn't go to sosua unless I was an experienced monger with a decent command of spanish.

    Hope this Helps.

    Trip.

Maybe I am looking in the wrong place for culinary food? Do you have any recommendations? I had mofongo on the beach and did thought they served it too dry, the outdoor ribs near hotel Europa is pretty good (though I am annoyed that I ordered two times same items, essentially same weight, and the guy charged me 600 pesos when the girl the other day only asked for 300. Like with people repeating "chino chino chino" this has been an ongoing issue.) Best seafood hands down other than maimon is Puerto Plata Punto Mariscospop.

Sosua is a tourist trap where hard working Americans are consistently ripped off by working girls, restaurants, and motorcyclists. Boomers and simps paying whatever price girls and restaurants ask eating hamburgers and pizzas of lesser quality they can get back home. Apparently they think because it is overpriced back in USA they should still pay 4000 as compared to local's 1500. Sex itself can be defined with two words, "papi leche. " A restaurant tried to charge me three drinks on the bar that were not mine and rude bartender asked me to leave when I caught her. Closest real Dominican food can be found in Puerto Plata and real seafood in Maimon.

I rather not get into an internet flame war since so many die hard Sosua fans here, but this is my one month in Sosua impression. Currently the chino sitting in bailee's working if you want an honest conversation or PM me.

Buying liquor or groceries, from a store, as opposed to sitting in comfort in a bar watching the world go by, served by beautiful chicas, or being served in a nice restaurant with freshly cooked food, is common place everywhere you go.

Not an "experience" unique to DR. LOL.

I'll gladly pay, 1. 50 cold beer at my fave bar, or get a oven baked pizza, from my fave Italian place (Osteria Toscana, highly recommended) even though I could walk across the street to the colmado and pick up a beer or a frozen pizza for a third of the price.

Having said that, one of my favorite ways to spend Sundays, is to hang out with local friends on the street in Charamicos, drink cheap jumbo Presidente from the tienda across the street, listen to the music, and watch the beautiful world go by. Everybody smiling and no complaining!

    1. Has Government instituted Covid-19 restrictions on movement, had an impact on everyday activities such as dining, excursions, uber, taxis, nightclubs, escort scene and if so what has been the major difference in the way these things operate?

    2. Any recommendations on cities, towns, points of interest for a 1 or 2 day excursion out of Santo Domingo? (My interests are varied, I do not travel just for mongering.) I have been to Las Terrenas, La Romana, Jarabacoa, Constanza, Boca Chica and along the southwest coast as far as Playa Palenque.

    3. Is it worth it to visit Sosua? Never been there.
Thank you for the feedback so far, any responses on question 1?

Thanks for the recommendation of Saona Island. Any other recommendations on that end?

From reading the forum, I should have realised that the the Sosua question would have had mixed reactions. Other that the readily and easily available girls, is there anything else that stands out about Sosua? Is the beach comparable to Guayacanes or Juan Dolio?

    Curfew

So I just read that there will be an Curfew starting this week from 8 pm To 5 am Everyday until whenever. Man do I need to hold off on this trip to Santo Domingo for now. Will it be worth it for a 7 day trip. Do I move my location. Decisions decisions. This might put a monkey wrench in my plans for June and I hate it. This sucks big time. I got my hopes up for nothing.

Bottle or cup; Colmado or Supermarket

The only clip joint I have ever run into in the Dominican Republic selling alcohol is at SDQ Duty Free. You will find bottles selling for prices way in excess than you can buy at most locations I frequent.

Now everyone knows (or should) that you are going to pay more per individual drink than if you are buying a bottle and pouring yourself. You are going to pay more at a colmodo for your bottle than if you are buying it from supermarket or a specialty liquor store. And it should be noted for the observant that you will see many Dominican buying alcohol from colmados all the time. That is because for many the colmado is the easier route in which to make a purchase or receiving a deliver in your home where you can tip the delivery guy anywhere from 0 to 15 pesos. But as I have often asked: What the fuck do I know? I just live here. LOL!

    Bottle prices:

Brugal Extra Viejo 1750 ML 990 DOP Brugal Blanco 1750 ML 865 DOP Brugal Leyenda 700 ML DOP.

1 oz is 30 ML (more or less) 1750 ML will give me 58 drinks; 17.2 DOP each drink for the Brugal Extra Viejo. If my math is right. Yawn if you must. What you know about rolling down in the deep? LOL!

She pulls down her mask and hot damn she is cute. I ask how much, she replied 1. 5 mil pesos. Told her, I pay only 1 mil pesos. She agreed. Then told her to come back later cause I waiting for my favorite chica to come by taxi.

Later another chica I never met send her fotos and video to entice me for a session. In my experience at least ten different DR chicas send self-made pornos, nudie dancing, orgasm video, and playing with themselves getting off videos without asking. Go figure. That stuff pops up in my wassap like a lure. And I take the bait. A mature light skin chica with pretty eyes piques my interest. She looks like Vanessa Williams when I call her on video. She is a friend of the chica I session with earlier. She sends wassap text, she is a good girl. Ok fine.

Her next text, she wants to spread strawberry jam on my dick to suck deeply. Fine, whatever. I put these statements in the category of "ay Papi you the best" many say something enticing. The next thing I know, she sends a video. She is doing a deepthroat BJ with strawberry jam, then uses a lime from a tequila drink to flavor it more and take it deeper. Fake or real don't know. She is a Vanessa Williams look-alike doing BJ. I instantly stood at attention. Boing. Told her to come over for 1. 5 mil pesos 2 hours. She agreed to arrive in an hour. Damn it worked I am hooked..

Reminds me of when I got off of a cruise ship in Jamaica. I went into a shop they had built specifically for people getting off those ships. A bottle of liquor was $16. I went outside and asked a local where they go to buy liquor. He pointed me to a grocery store around the corner maybe 50 meters away.

I went into that store and the same bottle of liquor was $4. I bought it and went back to the tourist store and told the clerk. She shrugged her shoulders like I only work here.

    To each their own

I will post a comprehensive Sosua and DR review but not on this forum. I find some people here unkool. YMMV but there were many rotten instances, like taxi drivers ambushing me and my Uber at Blackbeard's. It would have been great if I was warned of the taxi mafia in advance and for someone to at least tell me how annoying Blackbeard's itself is to get from Sosua.

You are right about one thing: the importance of unbiased reviews. And it won't come from the rose colored glass wearing braggart boomer who thinks they are all that for paying off a harem with iPads.

Out the 30+ places I have lived and mongered in, Sosua is bottom five with ripoffs and disrespect with the very bottom being Amsterdam. I am open to pm or converse with any reasonable mongerer who does not drink the unkoolaid.

    I read your posts

I saw no post of you being in Sosua. I did see a post where you went to Foxys and was quoted 5500 pesos. Which is the norm for the decent casas. There are cheaper options but for a reason. 1500 pesos pussy is scary cheap to me llike buying 50 dollar pussy in US. You can get it but who wants it. Thousands of guys go to Sosua every year because it is a very good time and deal. Read the Sosua forum for non bias opinions. I will be there next week for my 4th trip this year to Sosua and Santo Domingo I enjoy both. However for pure monger fun SD can not touch Sosua. Beach Food and Fucking Sosua rules. You can walk every where and 100's of young chicas come every week. Now the quality is not what it once was for us old vets. Never the less for new guys they are blown away.
