A few prives, termas (MC, solarium, and Centaurus) and Mabs are easy to reach. Quick tip, most girls in Mabs will ask you if you are in a hotel or an apartment in 30 seconds of meeting you. I'm assuming this would happen with terma girls as well. Many hotels give a hard time about bringing girls in, so they're evaluating if you are a hassle free target with an apartment. So research ahead.

Centro is where the most girls are with a lot of tall buildings, businesses, banks, and busy working people. I can totally see the advantages of setting home base there if you're mainly in rio for the girls and can do with less of the tourist stuff. There are numerous prives, many Termas (4 X4, 502), and the cost of lodging is slightly cheaper. Tijuca and vila mimosa are also not far opening up more options to explore. Centro does empty out at night as people go home from their day jobs with most of the business closed. You'll still find stuff you need with a little effort, it just has a little an eerie urban feel and planning your night in advance is recommended. I'm thinking of staying in centro next time I visit.

I have been to Rio (Copa) only once in my life few months ago this year. Went to MC 3 straight days and to Centauraus (and left within 30 minutes as I didn't like the environment). I had sessions with 10 girls over this time. Was in paradise. Since then, my mind doesn't set back into any thing else. For years they were just an outcall service. Then about a year ago or so, they became in house and out service. Yes, they did close down not long ago. However, I am almost certain they reopened again with a new name, and they are back to the old structure of outcalls only. Let's welcome Bia Vips to the sport.

As others mentioned below the one that was in Copa for years 2 A2 moved to Botafago, I was there last year and it had a good crowd.

I used to have about 3 to 4 different girls I went to 2 swing clubs with, one was 2 A2 and the other was Henri Club in Barra, when I asked them to go Swing they always chose Henri club over 2 A2, the crowd seemed to be more middle class from Barra area and a better looking crowd. If you have a GP that wants to go with you, it's fun, I always enjoyed it, it's not perfect. It all depends upon who is there the night you go, the girl you're with and if others find you attractive. While I always try to bring a girl that is age appropriate for me she should also be well dressed and good looking to make up for my shortcomings. I say age appropriate because I have seen some real old guys with very young girls and it's obvious what their relationship is. These clubs frown upon prostitution so I try not to make it so obvious especially the older I get, pretty soon I'll be bringing a grandma with me.
