Just google "Pattaya taxi" and you will find many taxi companies that charge as low as 1000 baht from Suvarnabhumi airport to Pattaya. I prefer the female driver companies and pay a bit more but that's just me.

The xe.com USD / THB cross minus 0,1 baht will get you very close to what the competitive money changes are offering. It always helps with acceptance to have pristine condition high denomination latest issue USD notes.

I checked on Uber for the fare from BKK to Central Pattaya, and it was something like 1260 Baht. Lyft is not yet in Thailand. Anyone have experience with Uber in the LOS?

I don't think uber has developed a lot compared to other countries at-least in BKK. Used it to go to airport, it costed more than the local taxi and was unimpressed by the service (based on one data point, so take it with grain of salt) though the car was pretty good.

1 USD = 33.15 THB. But I can bet it will change by early September.

I have never used PET, but I doubt if it will be any cheaper than THB 1300 I pay for a private taxi (standard sedan like a Toyota Altis) when I need one.

Is Limo Taxi sending an actual limousine? Then the higher price might be warranted.

Had a girl yesterday from Soi 6 in a dirty room, I was not impressed at all, it was a short term at first and when she did let me do anal I invited her for overnight at my place, it was fun and after some more anal she let me kick it raw and even film it for a few minutes, her bar is called O bar and she goes by June. Been here before, about 10 years ago, but don't remember lack of talent, smell of sewer everywhere and aggressive drivers. Well, things change, but in my opinion Phuket is a small paradise compared to this commercial beach reminiscent to those in America. One thing I must admit are those lovely German restaurants which I could not find in Berlin (I spent spring in Germany where almost all restaurants are Italian). Rented a place here in Pattaya on Photisan street from a Danish guy who, when I told him I'm a German said 'you're in luck, 90%of tourists and business in Pattaya are German, not sure what it means exactly as I see people from other European nations around, Australians and even Russians, so I guess it is very international. But those German restaurants are very good. I even went to Armenian restaurant and had an amazing ethnic plate with 5 kinds of minced meat, fresh mixed salad and some beer. LE Boulanger is cafe near Dolphin Circle I love the most, very expensive but it has great atmosphere.

Question; is Pattaya the biggest resort for sex tourism in the world? I have travelled almost entire world for mongering (SE Asia, South and Central America, Ukraine and Czech Republic, parts of Africa etc) but have never seen anything like this, the Danish man told me there is 1100 bars on this mega beach and every bar has 20-50 girls. Anyways, despite the lack of talent compared to BKK, I found a few model material girls, had a lot of fun, even anal is not a problem with some of them. Prices are fixed at 1300 for short term and 2500 for long term. BKK, for comparison is twice that, girls are better looking out there, but you can find some here in Pattaya too in spite of low season, BTW, it is not raining here at all so I guess I'm lucky if I overlook this incredible humidity which is so annoying. Anyways, having a good time, will stay here for three weeks and hope for the best.

Suggestions with bars and restaurants please, any other entertainment, would like to see and experience as much as possible.

Could not agree more. Pattaya is a go with the flow kind of place and Sometimes too much planning takes the mystery out of a tour. My last trip there I had a lot of plans and actually did none of them. Just got side tracked and found there was so much to do and so many girls.

Great report and made me think that maybe it is time to give a beach road babe a fling. Never done a street FL but after reading this report I may relax and enjoy the ride with one when there in two weeks time. Never know unless you give it a go.

That is the spirit. I am a relatively new member to this forum but I have been visiting mongering destinations in SEA, particularly LOS for nearly 2 decades now. And each time has been a complete blast, no exceptions.

So over the years I relied on some word of mouth, some light reading and pure instinct to find my way. And it turned out great each time. I did have a few bad experiences, but those were one off incidents and had little impact on the overall trip. You could a truckload of planning and still have bad experiences.

IMHO the more you plan the more you set yourself up for disappointment.

Did you do a ton of research before landing up or just light reading? Or did you just sort of wing it? Point I am trying to make is, no matter what you do, you always end up having a good time in Pattaya if you are relaxed and not too worried by comments from others about what you pay or who you shag. As UV rightly said, what you pay is your business. Who you shag is even more personal.

I did a lot of research via this site and other sites before I came.

I had two days to enjoy before heading to Bangkok, so knew what I wanted / could do.

Yeah, paid a little too much, but the exchange rate makes me aware that 500 baht is only about $20 NZ, and I won't quibble over that if a lass does good service.

Also I'm a softy and am horrified by the poverty in Thailand, so tip a lot.

Arrived and caught a bus down to Pattaya, chatted with two older fellows on the bus, one Australian, obviously gay (he talked about Patpong a lot) and an American, ex Navy who travels the world and told me about the bars in Pattaya. They both knew what I was coming for in LOS, but we were surrounded by 'polite' company.

Arrived about 6 pm at the Aya Hotel really tired from the long flight / bus trip, so had a shower and a 30 minute nap and then wandered out into the evening twilight about 8 pm, was warm and dry (no monsoon rains).

Had some food from a street cart and then stopped at The Stones House had a couple of beers and watched the circus unfold and took it all in as the band played AC / DC and Rage Against the Machine covers it was a little early and felt like just watching the stream of tourists, Chinese scout troupes and guys on the prowl.

Intent on checking out SkyFall, Baccara and Lighthouse, around 10 pm I wandered up and down the street and admired the cute lasses touting for customers before visiting all three clubs as well as Infinity. I didn't much like Baccara, Lighthouse was ok, but made mental notes to return to Skyfall and Infinity, by now it was around midnight and the jetlag and half a dozen beers were sapping my will to stay awake and I headed for home. I took a trip down the beach side of the main drag and enjoyed checking out all the rather tasty looking FL's standing along it, feeling somewhat reinvigorated I decided to go back and choose one for a romp.

She was about 160 cm, slim and looked to be about 28 (probably older) dark skinned and spoke good English. Being a newbie and a little drunk, she asked for 2 K, I countered with 1 K for BBJ, DATY and 2 shots and we agreed on 1500.
