Posts: 315Peak tourist season in Madagascar is rapidly approaching, so ticket prices are high.
Try Air Mauritius (via London).
Also South African Airlines has R/T ticket to Jo-burg from JFK for less that $1100, but getting a ticket to Mad from there is tricky - only one flight a day.

10 days can go fast in Mad unless you fly from city to city.
Assuming you'll be in Tana a few nights in and out (pun intended ), I recommend you try the Glacier almost any night (part of Hotel and Restaurant Glacier). There is always live music and the ladies are there much of the day, but increase in number and selection in the evening until midnight or so. Many leave around then to hit the other clubs (Pandora, Caveau and Indra -- all excellent pick-up locations). If you like to mix with locals and more average women, Club Indra in Tsaralalana is always fun and funky. Daytime poon can be had at the open-air bar near Hotel Colbert called Le Buffet au Jardin (at the top of the steps). Some action also in the bar at Hotel Colbert, but be careful outside the Colbert (that's where the TVs often congregate at night).
You will be able to meet available women almost anywhere you travel in Mad if you're polite and especially if you're a little generous. The people are very poor. Great fun can be had in Antsirabe (near Tana and reachable by cheap public overground transportation) at the disco Diamant, with a convenient and adequate hotel attached.
Diego and Nosy be in the north, Majajanga in the NW, Morondava (my fave) in the west, Tulear in the SW, and Tamatave on the east coast. Look and you will find! I don't recommend Ft. Dauphin because of recent demographic changes associated with foreign industry and outside workers.
Take some pics and report back!

I've been to Madagascar twice a year in the last years. No, I didn't see any deterioration in relation to safety (including police scam). By the way, the poorer countries of the world are suffering of high food-prices. Due to several factors, the price for rice in Madagascar stay merely the same in last weeks. On the other side, the food prices are on a very high level as the gas prices are.
I am worried about the detection of oil in Madagascar. As you'll get 125 USD and more for a Barrel this could lead to an influx of people who could change the atmosphere in this country dramatically.
So, in the short run I wouldn't care. The prices for girls went a bit up, they got a bit more "professional" - but that's how it works when the demand is going up.

thank you for the nice pictures. i have one question.
i was three times in madagascar... two months in three trips... (tana, diego, majunga, fiana, tulear, tamatave, nosy be) and had good time there with local girls ... but recently friends coming back from the "grande ile" have told me that the situation is deteriorating in term of safety.
they said that the food crisis has had a bad effect of the safety of vazaha. furthermore with gazoline at high prices, the cost are rising in madagscar. some europeans living there are now considering a relocation in asia.
what is your point of view on the local situation ? the impact on girls ? the "****" scam with police ?
as i am living now in thailand i have plenty of sex. even if i would be happy to shag black asses, i would go in madagascar only if the situation is correct.

Pocketrockets can work wonders on ladies that have never even imagined such a thing existed

Posts: 19Well, I was just quoting my experiences with them. They seem far more money hungry than other women I have dealt with. I have known 2 African women here in the US also, and they weren't good women at all. Every African woman online I have dealt with also has been full of shit. I know of 2 guys here in the US that also married African females and regretted it bigtime, as they got really screwed over.
