I'm in Rio, where is the street action in Centro?

How long are you in Rio for? I am there June 7 - 21 and could use some advice as well.

I walked the entire stretch of Copacabana beach and Ipanema practically every day for exercise for the last 3 months. Only saw one street offence. Be careful in the day of people walking too close behind you on Atlantica Avenue. A street rat tried to steal the purse from a guy and two Brazilian women. A lot of screaming and shouting and fists flying and the thief legged it. That was broad daylight. Learn 20 good phrases or words in Portuguese and that helps. We really do look vulnerable and out of place so quickly study what the locals do and copy it all. Re taxis, the guys hanging outside Dolce Vita will always overcharge you. Download the uber app and use it. Its at least 50% cheaper than the yellow cabs and there's no hassle. I used it 50 times without any problems.

Favelas and Funke parties. If you go to these then I think you are risking your life. I was with a favela girl for a month and went to the beach with her brother etc..

Apto 902 in that building is also an apto of a friend of mine.
A 2 bedroom apto. Not as nice as apto 1102, but still a nice monger apto but way more basic (actually I helped out knocking down some walls, renovating, painting and putting new floors, electricity etc in that apto
That means we have slept in the same bed.

Yes, Carlos is a funny guy but not to be trusted if you have a regular GF. He gossips and lick the ass of the sndica.

Yes 2 bedrooms apartment but no terrace we have slept in the same bed but not at the same time hahahah And I have not only slept in this bed hahahah again Found some girls in 2010 in Meia Pataca.

I hadn't no regular GF at this time, so the only problem I had with Carlos: he told us to be quiet with girls in the lift because of the camera inside!

Yeah that's a nice Monger Pad, the one I rented in that building is not as new but because it has that outdoor terrace I like it a lot, that's where I break the ice with the girls, take them out on the terrace, have a nice drink of whisky then she goes down for the BJ (Covered or bare) and I stand there and take it all in, it's as close to heaven as I'm going to get. The fact that you have to open the door late at night and let them in or leave is a pain as there is no portiero at night. Because I like to have escorts delivered I usually wait for them in the lobby with a nice fresh glass of whisky and get to see them before I let them in. Sometimes I just wait outside in front of the building, letting them out is a pain late at night especially when you're tired and even once I kicked a girl out and I have no idea how she got out of the building but I never saw her again. So the next time you are in that building if you see a guy sitting in the lobby drinking whisky at midnight then that would be me.

I know few years back ET and I at different times of course used to stay in same apto on rua Magalhaes, the one owned by that British guy. It's kind of creepy when you think about it. And of course the girls back in the day when Help was open and people posted pics of girls from Help, how many times I've seen guys with girls I've been with. Today not many pics but you all go to the same privi's in centro, just passing the DNA around.

I was just lucky. I guess you stayed one floor above (1202 ?). Nice building in a excellent location with mostly nice neighbours and porteiros. The downside is the sndica (a true witch), the small elevator and the hassle with following night guests down to open the main door with your key.

If that's the apto, yes several times. One of the few aptos in that building with a balcony. Nice kitchen btw.

No matter where you go in Rio, violence, shootings and robberies can occur. Going around being scared is a big mistake. The bandits and thiefs can smell your fear just like dogs and you'll more likely be a victim.

This one got what he had coming to him. Happened in Sao Paulo, but just as easily could have been anywhere in Brazil.
