Again, why bother with SA? I have never heard of someone doing so much work in Medellin just to meet girls. If you read the forum there are guys that have written the names of contacts they have they can recommend. Food posioning? Are you planning to dine them? If you are that paranoid maybe you should pick another hobby?

There Worst scam is the food poisoning. That's why get their pictures, video, real name, ID number or if not the guard gets the ID number. Then entitled girls On seeking looking for guys that Give free handouts. I don't respect this type of woman and I'm not interested in becoming their friend. Of course it's An exception if both the guy and a girl clearly state from the beginning They want platonic relationship. In the 3rd scam is girls On seeking asking for upfront gifts making up some weird emergency. When they Finally come over there is nothing around they can put in their pockets. I still haven't let anyone victimize me. Also 50 year old guy selling pictures of a 20 year old girl. I Am guessing these same scams happen in all major Colombian cities.

I agree, a nice and fun place. A WG took me there a few years ago. I was impressed with the place. But I heard that you need to reserve in advance, it can be busy at times. And it was reasonably priced.

You only need to reserve in advance for one of the special suites. I've probably been there 20 times or more. I believe the base price for 6 hours is 89 k for 2 people. Extra charge for extra persons, plus charges for any mini-bar items.

They have a full menu available and a full sex store catalog as well.

What scams are you referring to? Seems by going to seeking arrangements and not following the advise on this board you are making this a lot more difficult than it is. Seeking arrangements in Medellin?

I am nearby. But I still learned a valuable lesson in this forum. Had one date and scheduled two other dates. The best part isI could find reasonable rent prices. It's Positive fun to read about all the scam and learn to be safe and try to outsmart the danger. But yeah it can come off as negative. Not a good time? Yeah I guess it Sounds that way. But there are a lot of good things here. It's nice to be lucky. Just waiting in transit.

I really don't understand why go thru all this? I use Facebook and look for recent pics of the girls.

I contact them and share whatsapp accounts. We agree on the amount and she comes to my apartment. To be totally honest I have never experienced a situation where the girl didn't look like her pics. Some girls are better than others in bed. Not even sure why guys go to seeking arrangements when these same girls have Facebook accounts.

I'm not sure but the Facebook game maybe it's not so big in other cities outside med. I already asked for Faceboook contacts in Cali. Found a few online In the local forum but nothing too good. In this particular situation, It was easier to be picky On seeking.There are some high-level hotties on seeking. Not that many though.

...All-in-all, it was a good option. Especially, if you can't find an apartment with a jacuzzi, or you are priced out of options. Every girl I talked to about joining us already knew about the place. In normal times, I would imagine a night out in Palmahia with a group, followed by spending your night at Motel Ibiza or the like, would be a fun way to spend the night. A couple buddies with 4 girls could be one hell of a night.

Took the girls to Motel Ibiza on Friday night. It was my first time at a love motel in Medellin.

DiDi to the location, intercom to request a room (Presidencial), DiDi drives into your private garage, you walk upstairs, and.

2 beds, 10 person jacuzzi, bluetooth speakers throughout with a microphone, stripper pole, couches, 2 showers, 2 bathrooms, 2 tvs, 2 refrigerators full of anything you could possibly need (booze, drinks, food, vibrators, lube, condoms, and much much more). Menu for food, drinks, costumes / lingerie, etc. Our jacuzzi had an issue for the first hour, but after several calls they got it working. We also called to turn on the A / see and also to add some cold water to the 105 degree monstrous jacuzzi. We brought a bag of drinks but ended up having a few from the fridge, and bought a vibrator. 6 hours in total, bill was about 550.000 COP. They have much cheaper options, as well as shorter periods of time.

All-in-all, it was a good option. Especially, if you can't find an apartment with a jacuzzi, or you are priced out of options. Every girl I talked to about joining us already knew about the place. Also, I extended my tourist permit until mid-December. The process was excruciating, because of how terrible the website was, but the eventual cost was 103.000 COP. My plan is to go home and come back in early January. Found a very nice apartment for Nov-Dec, but I have a week gap before then. I am looking into a finca to host a Halloween party, maybe. I'm just not sure if I want to commit to stocking up on groceries for the week, etc.

I arrived in Bogota tonight and went to the Banco de Bogota ATM in the airport. It seems these mfs have start trying to pull a trick that a few banks in Thailand have been doing the past couple of years. You key in how much money you want then it pops up on the screen an amount with them offering to exchange your currency to pesos. ALWAYS SELECT NO unless you like getting fucked instead of doing the fucking. They will charge you 7% exchange on top of the 13,000 fee if you select yes. When you select no the money just comes out normal and you get the rate that your home bank is giving you.

If I remember correctly, Davivienda and Servibanco ATMs ask this too.

The chances of an unemployed young female Colombian, with no family in the US, granted a tourist visa to come to the US is virtually zero. And it would take a lot of time and money to discover she is denied.

The better and easier route is an education visa. However, I think a tourist visa is doable on a planned trip with a strict schedule. I thought you might be able to pay for a tour and just have the woman come stay with you, but I understood customs is pretty strict about people following the itinerary.

Unfortunately not. I have been noticing that BS in many ATMs of USA, Colombia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore for the last several years. No, I am sorry, I am not able to enumerate precisely where and when, but I mention those countries because they are the extra-EU places I have visited most often in the last years.

Mr E., pls understand I did not mean to argue with you on this. I feel totally sympathetic with your anger. I fell in this trap more than once. I may only speculate that either you did not notice it before, or your specific usual ATM did not have this option before, but they introduced it only recently. Who knows. However, no, it is not new in Colombia.

Particularly nasty is having that conversion option in the credit card payments, because when it is available the waiter or the seller is used to select YES without even asking the unaware customer.

My personal experience with ATM's that present all the conversion options, which I have encountered in Europe, is that they are selectively placed at travel hubs like airports / train stations / tourist destinations where arriving passengers / tourists are in dire need of local currency, and people easily get confused and fall into the trap set by the Banks. I remember arriving at a train station somewhere in Europe, and there were rows of ATM machines, kind of like a bunch of one armed bandits lying in wait for a tired and dazed traveller.

As far as Colombia, I have yet to encounter the multi conversion ATM's on either a Bancolombia or Scotia Bank ATM at least in Medellin. And as far as the credit card conversion option, I always say in COP, as what you mention about the waiters / sellers automatically selecting this option is so true as you get totally dinged on it. Also interesting with credit cards in Colombia is how they always ask you "cuantos quotas", meaning how many payments do you want the charge spread over.
