Same day test results in Southern California are running from between $275 to $400 for the PCR test. If they take the sample at 8 AM they have results that afternoon. Not cheap and I guess it's good Colombia is allowing a 96 hour window versus 72 hours like other Countries.

Took the girls to Motel Ibiza on Friday night. It was my first time at a love motel in Medellin.

DiDi to the location, intercom to request a room (Presidencial), DiDi drives into your private garage, you walk upstairs, and.

2 beds, 10 person jacuzzi, bluetooth speakers throughout with a microphone, stripper pole, couches, 2 showers, 2 bathrooms, 2 tvs, 2 refrigerators full of anything you could possibly need (booze, drinks, food, vibrators, lube, condoms, and much much more). Menu for food, drinks, costumes / lingerie, etc. Our jacuzzi had an issue for the first hour, but after several calls they got it working. We also called to turn on the A / see and also to add some cold water to the 105 degree monstrous jacuzzi. We brought a bag of drinks but ended up having a few from the fridge, and bought a vibrator. 6 hours in total, bill was about 550.000 COP. They have much cheaper options, as well as shorter periods of time.

All-in-all, it was a good option. Especially, if you can't find an apartment with a jacuzzi, or you are priced out of options. Every girl I talked to about joining us already knew about the place. In normal times, I would imagine a night out in Palmahia with a group, followed by spending your night at Motel Ibiza or the like, would be a fun way to spend the night. A couple buddies with 4 girls could be one hell of a night.

Also, I extended my tourist permit until mid-December. The process was excruciating, because of how terrible the website was, but the eventual cost was 103.000 COP. My plan is to go home and come back in early January. Found a very nice apartment for Nov-Dec, but I have a week gap before then. I am looking into a finca to host a Halloween party, maybe. I'm just not sure if I want to commit to stocking up on groceries for the week, etc.

Gentlemen, Love Hotels are a good option to consider for first meetings(where sex is the implied or expressed activity), special dates, small parties, and just getting out of the routine. Ibiza is the upper end in price. There are many, many others. They may even work for you when you have an unfilled of 1-3 night gap in your living accommodations. Mid-week they are extremely affordable. Hot water showers, jacuzzi if you wish. Anything can be delivered by the hotel or Rappi. Years ago I stayed in one in Barranquilla for several nights. Cheap with vital Air Conditioning! Drawbacks: Typically no windows, no WiFi, not a good place if you're going to be in all day. You might even meet some ladies hanging around. Be very discrete and respect the privacy and anonymity of couples.

What new 2 visitor policy are you referring to, is this an individual hotel, all hotels, city wide or country wide? Care to elaborate?

Gentlemen just use a fake test template and fill in your name. Your airline nor immigration / customs is checking anything other then the word negative and PCR on the test result. People are flying into Colombia with hundreds of different letters saying they are not negative. They cannot verify any of them.

No you don't have to, but they require you to use it when you enter in a shop or even in a restaurant, which is so stupid, because as soon as you seat you can remove it. But people are stupid, there is nothing you can do about that.

You can always call people out for being stupid. However, most people seem to get upset when I do it.

It's a rule. If the restaurant or store is enforcing the rule, they are merely doing what they feel is best. They understand there may be consequences for not enforcing the rule. If you don't want to wear a mask, don't go to a country or city that requires you to wear a mask.

If the restaurant wants you to wear a mask, don't be stupid. Wear a mask. Don't argue with them. Don't be another obnoxious gringo. Just wear the mask. It's not going to hurt you. It's a minor inconvenience at most.

This is an excellent example of terrible advice.

Get tested. You might have to jump through hoops, there may be difficulties or added expenses to get the results within the 96 hour window. If you have no other option, you probably should stay home.

Colombia isn't stupid. If everyone just skips the test and uses a fake template, they will eventually catch on. When that happens it's probably going to become a lot more difficult for everyone else.

That's without considering that you might be bringing in the virus, sharing it with a bunch of working girls, who are going to share it with a bunch of other mongers.

I'm currently in an airbnb near parque lleras and the doormen here are kind of a pain. Keep in mind I don't speak fluent spanish, but from what I gathered they are hesitant to allow visitors because they are afraid of a visitor bringing covid into the building. Again, I'm not 100% sure that's what the guard was saying to me but I'm pretty sure it was along the lines of that. Or that the girl I walked in was pretty obviously a working girl based on how she dressed and just her general demeanor but I never had a problem with it before in the Philippines. Or maybe the guard frowned upon letting working girls in and that was his polite way of saying to cut it out. And to be fair the airbnb listing did say "no sexual tourism" I guess.

Anyways just my experience so far, I guess I'll try using short time hotels from now on. Or try to build more of a rapport with the girl beforehand and say she's a friend or date or something. There's no asterisk under any of the "no sex tourism" signs or listings (*this applies to everyone but you). If you're bringing in hookers anyway, I expect you will very shortly be looking for another place to stay and you probably won't be getting a refund since you violated the host rules. My suggestion is to start looking for another place immediately, because the portero has probably already informed your host.
